We contracted with New South Windows 2 years ago for Storm door sliders. The product that was installed was excellent, I have to say. It seems, however, there was a problem with installation and one of the slider doors leaks from the tracks every time there is a rain storm. So, 50 phone calls to the company, 2 people sent out to fix the problem, emails, 1 service person who came out said nothing got in his truck and left, calls to the office (in which the woman answering the phones said they don't read their emails and $50,000 later my sliders are STILL leaking. I filled out their online form to get a quote for new 3 sliding glass doors and 19 windows. I was then contacted and had an appointment for 2 PM one week ago. No one showed up and at 3 PM, I called the local Palm Beach number and was told our appointment had been cancelled and scheduled for the following day. I never cancelled, nor did I receive a call regarding a different appointment time. When the person told me to wait on line for someone to reschedule, the phone hung up on me and no one ever called me back. I guess you guys have more than enough business on your hands and can drop potential customers, we figured it would be easily be $25,000 to $30,000 for the labor and materials, which we would be paying in cash and needed ASAP. Good product. Extremely poor service. I had windows installed in February of 2023. They didn't bring my master bedroom slider. As of today October 9 2023 still nothing. Not even communication from New South. Failed collier county inspection because is a safety issue on doors. That was in May. They still haven't fixed. Can't begin to tell you where they have failed. The only reason I gave them a 2 star was for the quality and the installation. Of course the installers were 3rd party contractors. They should look into contracting their management. There are a lot of companies out there selling hurricane windows. After getting several estimates we decided to go with New South Windows. We couldn't be more pleased with the service, product, or price. We made the drive to West Palm Beach to go to their showroom, and it was a well-worth trip. Once we contracted with New South they took care of everything. The windows arrived for installation exactly when they said they would. They sent the crews up to Sebastian so the job could be completed in one day. The men who arrived were very professional and fully explained what the on-site procedure would be. They covered everything in the house with plastic and were so careful with my antique furniture. I appreciated the care they took. They worked all day and completed the installation. I was so impressed with the way they cleaned up, even washing all the new windows. They fully explained before leaving when we could paint the areas that need painting on the stucco. They did all the stucco work and caulked everything as part of the job. I would also like to add that any communication we've had with anyone in the company either in person or on the phone, has always been very pleasant and helpful. My windows were installed by a subcontractor and the installation was done poorly, damages were never addressed AND they arranged their payment themselves without our approval or repairing the damages their subcontractor caused. New South Windows is the worst company I have ever dealt with. The installation was poor and my house was completely covered in dust and debris because of not covering properly. They put caulking all over my bathroom faucets. They entered closed doors without my permission. They will not return calls or requests to repair problems. We have called we have written letters to the president and we get no response. We have windows that will not operate properly and they said they will look into it and get back with us. Still waiting! It is sad because the product is a good quality but it is certainly not worth the grief. The are unethical with putting charges through on credit when we had not signed the paperwork to approve, The job was not complete nor did we even have all the windows when the charges were put through to the credit card company. read more

Today was the fifth day in 6 months I removed our curtains, moved furniture, relocated our overhead lamp and taken all the pictures off the wall and taken the day off work ($$$) in order to be home for them to fix or reinstall one particular window. When they show up, there's always a new excuse why they can't complete the job. I've been extremely patient. This week New South called me with "good news". The replacement window we've been waiting 2 or 3 months for came in and the installers would be at our house between 9 am and 10 am Saturday to install it. At 9:59, New South calls to tell me they will not be replacing our window today because they found it had been damaged during shipping. Another 2 or 3 months and that new window will be in.... I'm so excited, I can't wait!!!!..... for the next excuse.... They were supposed to be here between 9 and 10 and call me at 9:59 to tell me they are not coming! Really!!! How is that possible or acceptable? I keep thinking I'll wake up at some point and this nightmare will be over.... I keep thinking it can't get any worse...... but it does... Like I said in my first review on 6.15.21.... I regret the day I called this company.... But don't worry..... You probably won't have any problems.... or at least any that you are aware of.... If I could give a zero I would. I had them install 6 new windows at the end of January. Before the installers left it a was discovered one of the windows was defective and couldn't pass City inspection. I told them I didn't want them processing the final payment on my credit card until the job was finished and they took it anyway against my wishes. Three months later I'm still waiting for them to fix it, seal the windows inside and get the inspection done while my AC leaks out of the windows into the Florida sun. They've been contacted multiple times over the past 12 weeks to resolve the problem and haven't done so. I'll need to hire an attorney shortly to sue them for taking money unauthorized by me for a job that was never properly completed. read more

Firstly, the salesman who came to our house had the same attitude and his speech about other windows & companies was verbatim in regard to calling all other windows "crap." Furthermore, I feel that showing highlighted bad reviews of other companies to potential buyers is in VERY poor taste. I found just as many bad reviews online about NSWS. "Those who live in glass houses..." As far as prices, we were given a quote of $67,000 before their "50% OFF" special. Even at $33,500 this is ridiculous. After politely thanking the salesman for his time, he became quite upset. I was a bit embarrassed for him, ~ a grown man acting like a petulant child. Regardless, he has contacted us a few times since then about lowering the price, stating that he would "talk to his manager." Are we buying windows or a used car?! Needless to say we felt insulted by this and the subsequent "new quote" which was only $3000 less. This still puts their price $10,000 - $12,000 above the other quotes we have received. In closing, we have not contracted with NSWS for the reasons stated above as well as the reviews we have seen online in regard to price gouging and quality of workmanship. read more

I was the guy that gave a five star review posted above, a couple of years ago. Heres another story. I was grilling in my back porch and didn't realize the grill was too close to my new window that NSW installed a couple of years earlier. The grill was on for over half an hour--on high. While we were inside, the window began to make a crackling sound. I didn't realize how stupid I was. The heat from the grill, which was over 600°, made the outside layer of the protective window completely crack. The next business day, I called New South Window, and told the rep. that my window cracked. I gave no explanation, and they never asked any questions. I felt like such a fool. They said they would send somebody out in a couple of days... Which they did...On time, And measured the window...NO QUESTIONS ASKED. They said the window will take a few weeks to make. I got a call within the month that the window was ready. Two very professional installers came on time, put the new window in, cleaned up, and left in less than an hour... No questions asked... No charge... Zilch! If you're ever in the Jupiter area, Take a ride around 'phase one' of the Hamptons In Maplewood, and you'll see the nicest windows installed... with a transom. That's my home. Beware of New South Window Solutions ‼ The business ethic of this outfit is questionable. In my experience the sales staff is not above lying in order to close a sale. Cancellation is not honored over the phone. Must be in writing. There is a total lack of courtesy of returning telephone calls. This lack of courtesy extends from the sales staff all the way to the executive office level. This outfit is also not above trying to steal your deposit if they perceive a possibility. In such a callous, customer unfriendly environment try to get your complaints acknowledged. Try to get your warranty honored if you are unfortunate enough to have purchased their window product. Horror Story!  Run far from New South. The other negative reviews here are all true.  Poor communication, horrible attitude, unreliable and SHODDY work.  We have a project in Southern Pines NC and contracted with New South to purchase and install 7 doors and approx 17 windows.  Huge delays above the promised weeks for the windows to arrive.  It took weeks to install the windows with 3 different crews which either did not show up on the scheduled days or showed up in the afternoon.  Big issue that we did not know is that they do not repair damaged sills frames etc which are found during installation (they simply abandon the job site).  They also do not replace the exterior or interior trim (would have been nice for the salesman to let us know).  Also all of the old windows and debris were stacked in the front yard until we notified the office for removal. The windows and job site were left filthy.  The work is so shoddy that we had an independent window/door contractor inspect who advised us he has never seen an install so poorly done.   They subcontract the installers who were so hostile I do not want them on the property again.  I am attaching photos and yes that is a plastic bag stuffed into the frame of the door and how they left the job site.  They also charged my credit card for the final payments without my approval and and before the job was finished. Either the owners are so checked out and happy with the money coming in they could care less about their customers or their reputation.....clearly they don't inspect job sites. I have been a roofer in South Fla for over 40 yrs and chased roof leaks for a while now, who knew that all doors leak, OMG that was a riot!! This is for the Pensacola location, but I cannot find that location on Yelp. As this listing is what came up, I am assuming it is their home location. First, the good news, the windows are really nice. Unfortunately, I am over three months into the three day install, which started with nobody showing up on day one. The first installers were incompetent at best. The fit and finish looked like it was done by toddlers, so I requested they send someone else to fix the problems. While the "fixer" was correcting the visible issues, he found that all of the necessary screws were not installed. Our large, heavy impact windows would have blown in during a storm due to missing screws. The installers cut the bottom off of one window, then tried to sloppily cover it up. The "fix" looks better, but still not good. Bricks were removed while pulling out the original windows. I am still waiting to have them all re-grouted. There were large pieces of glass in my yard where my dogs go out. During the pre-install process, one of their employees told us not only that we could reverse our doors, but doing so was better. The installer did not want to do the hard work of reversing the framing, so the doors are set oddly into the frame. I had to order 4" strike plates because the locks were hitting the wood frames. The hinges are not free to rotate as they are pressed into the frames, and creak loudly like we live in a haunted house. The thresholds do not cover a gap in the bricks that was covered by the original doors. The installer glued a thin metal threshold strip over the gap which is pulling up, and is becoming dangerous. When I call and text to have the issues addressed I am ignored for weeks at a time. The "fixer" requested that I did not give a bad review because they were fixing things, and I didn't want to the company to go out of business and lose my warranty. I can't even get the job finished, why would I worry about warranty work? If you decide to hire New South, make sure you have plenty of PTO. I have missed 9 days of work and lost two Saturdays over the past few months, and they still are not finished. Hopefully, nobody will be injured on the shoddy thresholds and my bricks will be secured soon. read more

Terrible customer service after the sale. We had 11 impact windows installed in our Florida home this winter by New South, the windows were from their sister company Eco Windows. While we really like the windows we are very disappointed in the run around we are getting from New South about two issues that have come up after the install. One issue is that one of the screens for a window was bent and was noticed by one of the installers, so they wrote up a service order on it. Two and a half months later we are still waiting. New South just keeps blaming Eco Windows for the delay. Second issue is one of the gaskets at the bottom of one of the windows was torn by one of the service tech fixing another problem. Again, New South blames Eco Windows for the delay. How hard would it be for New South to send someone over to Eco Windows to grab some gasket material and a new screen? I will give them to the end of this month to get these issues resolved, then if not will dispute a good portion of my down payment which was made via credit card. If we get this resolved anytime soon I will update and maybe raise my rating. read more

Do not use this company. Had windows installed not even 8 months ago and one was not installed correctly. The sill has been leaking and has ruined the inside of my drywall. The company is now refusing to take responsibility and I'm stuck holding the bag. We purchased all new windows from New South Windows in West Palm Beach after consulting with 2 other reputable companies. We chose nsw because their product was PVC aluminum which the others only offered was a major price upgrade. Our windows were custom made which means we had to wait. They were installed in one day and some finishing touches the next morning. The crew were efficient took care not to make too much mess and cleaned up even vacumming. The follow up after inspection was easy and everything went smooth. I read allot of window companies bad reviews so I was confused. Nsw is not the cheapest but you get a quality product. read more

Wow, I just had a pretty awful telephone experience and they called me. The woman (M) was very rude, but in a passive-aggressive, nice-nasty, kind of way. Here I am ready to buy a full set of windows and doors, but this is not a great start. I'm looking on Yelp now, to see how this outfit regarded and they seem to be getting pretty consistent feedback. Ordered windows & slider May 2017, initial install September 2017, it is now February 2018 and this nightmare won't end. The delivery, installation and followup is woefully inept. Windows not ready for twice the time stated in the contract, they offered to "upgrade" my sliding glass door which has been nothing but a nightmare. They have made 5 attempts to resolve the problems with the "upgraded" sliding glass door after initial install and still need to come a 6th time. I went with this company because they had a very good sales person told me that all of their installers work directly for new south windows and gave me a whole spiel on the product but this has been the worst experience in dealing with a company to do anything at my house took off work didn't show up until 2 o'clock in the afternoon to do a whole house full of windows and it was raining outside on top of that so I had to takeoff the next day because I wouldn't let them start the install because they were going to send a different crew to finish when they came two of the windows were wrong and three of the windows were messed up they had to be replaced the crew that installed them didn't put any insulation to seal the windows so all the trim had to be pulled back off and another crew had to fix the problem they didn't level any window The crew that came to fix the other problem fixed that still have yet to get my windows replaced in my bedroom that were ordered wrong have taken off another day for them to be here at 9 o'clock in the morning and it is now 1220 and they tell me they will be here at 1:20 to fix it this Has to be the worst company to ever deal with but they wanted to get payment after the first day of install they were quick to have someone here to sign the finance papers and he is supposed to be the Quality Control person and he looked at my windows when they were crooked and said that they are working with a pre-existing opening so that's how they go The crew that came to fix the problems is a very good crew they do everything they say they're gonna do and they do it correct but as far as new south as a company they have to be the worst would not recommend this company to anybody if windows cost you a little extra I would definitely highly recommend go with a different company read more

We interviewed 4 window companies with 4 quotes. Now just to be clear every single one of them had the same process.. showing you some light with a heat meter that shows a significant reduction. So lets clarify the sales process... after a pitch that takes as long a buying a car.. every one of the salesman did not provide a nice written quote, but a hand scratched number on a piece of yellow scratch paper.. Just like sitting with a slippery car salesman. After collecting my 4 scraps of paper and comparing the products, it seems that New South had a much better built product,(which does come a higher price). So I selected them based on the quality of product (which looked superior to the others), the time frame promised and the fact they are a Florida based company. However they were just purchased by PGT and fact did make be pause because bigger companies generally don't make a smaller company better. However, I was wanting to get this done before hurricane season and the hot summer months. So after months of no communication, I started contacting my salesman (the used car salesman with the scrap of paper) he made a few excuses and then pushed me off the local office. - So now we are a month past the expected installation, the local office called me to let me know my windows are still in production and they cant quite give me an actual status. I did earlier request a cancellation of my order and refund of my deposit, but was told that was not an option because the windows were already "produced "(obviously a complete lie). There seems to no doubt that this company has traded integrity, trust and customer service for a big PGT checks, lots of TV advertising. This company seems be all talk with little action. Very unprofessional. Poor communication skills. They like to send people to customer's homes to try to intimidate them and their workers. All over a bad review. Not a dishonest review might i add. Upon calling and speaking to the "supervisor" I realized how unprofessional this company really is when he laughed as i explained the incident that took place. Instead of an apology for his employee's actions, he also complained about a negative review that was made. When asked if the person that gave the review had lied, he did not answer. I was simply told I'd receive an email with the review attached. I'm still waiting for that email. I let him know I'd be leaving my own review. Not only did they do a shotty job at installing the windows, and not only did they cut FOUR support straps (without notifying us) and reducing the integrity of support on the home, but when they sent their henchman to my house over a review that they so rightfully deserved....they crossed the line. Beware if u post an honest bad review. This company will send their guy out to try to intimidate you. I guess they're unaware that we have a right to leave what ever review we think they deserve. All is NOT well that ends well. Yes, the windows were fine once they got them in. However, in addition to the nearly $10k cost for 7 regular-sized impact windows, we incurred thousands in additional costs and time lost from work (when we don't work, we don't get paid). New South Windows seems to think that all of the many inconveniences, additional costs, broken outlets, stolen goods, bloody clothing left in our bushes, etc., should be overlooked because they ULTIMATELY managed to successfully install 7 windows (they offered us $500 to cover approximately $5,000 in our costs). Details: 1) New South Windows promised delivery of 7 windows costing almost $10,000 (which included a 45% discount) in 14 weeks - it was a full HALF YEAR until the final inspection was done. 2) The installation took 7 days and I lost 56 lost hours of work. 3) We were without window treatment in our bedroom for the better part of 2 months. 4) The New South Windows team first showed up with a STEP STOOL to work on 2nd floor windows. They proceeded to start removing a window on the FIRST floor. We stopped them and they left because they did not have a ladder to reach the second floor. 5) The NEXT WEEK, the team worked for a couple of hours and then left. 6) The NEXT WEEK, a team showed up who did not speak English. They broke two outside GFCI outlets. Then they took OUR extension cord (because theirs wasn't long enough), came into the house, plugged their saw into our dining room outlet - WITHOUT ASKING PERMISSION. The sliding glass door was left ajar. I went to see what they were doing and they were about to start cutting the stucco around the window DIRECTLY ABOVE THE SLIDING GLASS DOOR. Not only was NOTHING covered in the dining room, there was no plastic over the door, and the door was OPEN! I told them they couldn't start cutting without putting up plastic and covering the furniture and closing the door. That's when they said both GFCIs "weren't working" (my husband is an electrician who had replaced both of the GFCIs when we moved in). They proceeded to start cutting anyway. I called the New South Windows office and said they somehow need to communicate with their team to get them to stop, that nothing was covered, and we didn't want stucco dust in our house for years to come. They left AND TOOK our extension cord. 7) The NEXT WEEK a team appeared and almost immediately the lead guy dropped his concrete saw and almost sawed his toe off. He couldn't get the bleeding to stop so he had to go to the hospital. NO STEEL-TOED WORK BOOTS AS REQUIRED BY OSHA. 8) The first time I took my dogs for a walk after this incident, my lab grabbed something from the corner of our front patio. It was the cut and bloodied sock that had been left behind (when I told the New South Window's manager about this he said, "well we can't control if our employees leave behind bloody socks!"). 9) They did $1,500 in damage to our alarm system. 10) Their stucco guy was supposed to come out the day after the windows were installed. Instead it took 3 weeks and we had 3 thunderstorms that soaked our open house. 11) New South Windows ordered an inspection. The inspector came and was incredulous: "None of the stucco work has been done and you've got gaping holes on a wood frame house! How long have these been open??". I responded, "3 weeks". The inspector said, "Well, I can't pass these windows with these big gaping holes around them. Would you want me to pass these?" I said, "No, of course not." The inspector failed the windows which meant I needed to stay home another day. 12) The final straw was their manager came to see us and offered us $500 to cover all of the above. He stated these problems are not "typical" and that we "are happy with the end result." He stated they "fired the crew that damaged the GFCIs" and stole our extension cord. This is supposed to make up for the fact that I lost 56 hours of work, our alarm system is wrecked, and significant damage was done to our home??
