These folks contract with Braceville Township PD, who has a "Policy" to impound ALL vehicles, no matter the situation. Motorists pulled in to gas station at corner of Rt. 5 & Braceville Robinson Road, right smack in between the tow company and the impound lot, 2-3 miles away. This tow company, although they contract with Braceville PD, does not own a flat bed. The Car Clinic would have hooked up and towed my all wheel drive vehicle, which was impounded because I forgot to renew my plates, had my husband not been present. All wheel drive vehicles need to be towed with dollies or a flat bed, or they will be broken. I was charged $165.00 for the 2-3 mile tow to the impound lot. A ticket for $150.00, $125.00 Impound fee bc my vehicle was towed approx 6 pm on Friday, paid my $63.45 renewal on Saturday, & picked my vehicle up when they opened at about 10:30am on Monday. $483.45 for being forgetful, folks.

I paid $12 and didn't get the side of Mayo I asked for or the coleslaw I paid for. I called in and got a major attitude from the same lady and was told "call back tomorrow morning. I'm just a server, I can't do anything about it." Uh YAH, you CAN You can check your order to make sure the kitchen boxed it correctly. You can do your job and make sure a clearly dissatisfied customer has their easy order correct. So rude and so "whatever" about guest! I have walked out of this place before after sitting for 20 min and not being greeted OR apologized to when we had to find another server to ask for our server to come over. The staff is by far the rudest staff I've ever dealt with. I keep trying to give them a chance and 100% of the time, they fail. And they charge you extra money if you want to split your meal with someone??? So if I cut my burger (that I'M buying) in half and give it to my child or share it with someone who can't eat a lot, you're going to charge me several more dollars for making that decision?? Dan the driver was extremely hospitable. He wasn't able to get us up and running, but brought us to the auto repair shop that he uses, and pointed out locations of interest on the way, so we had things to do while waiting fo the car. Turns out they will keep the car overnight, so Dan gave us a ride to a hotel, and again, pointed out the restaurants in the area. Being stranded is horrible, but the Pantelone team really seems to go out of their way to make sure they take care of their customers.

I said I knew it wasn't going to be cheap but obviously I needed my car back. He said they were closed and to call back tomorrow, so I did. When I called the next morning, the same man answered and said "If I charged you what the state said I should, you'd be down north of three grand. What can you afford?" I had never heard someone ask that. I asked what the least he could charge was and he said $1,000. I didn't really have an option as they had my car!! I drove an hour and a half to get my car and only when I was about 40 minutes out did they call me back and tell me it was cash payment only. So I had to stop at an ATM on the way to get cash when they started complaining about me being late. When I got there, I asked for an itemized receipt and all I got was a receipt that had $1,000 written next to "Miscellaneous charges." I'm really considering legal action because this just does not feel right. I didn't know what to do in the moment as I'd never been in an accident or needed my car towed, so I didn't know that wasn't how it worked. If I ever need my car towed, I will be specifically requesting they DON'T use Pantalone Towing. Absolutely awful.

A tow truck got us to a hotel, where Andrew and his partner (whose name I can't remember) worked for hours in the dark and sub-freezing temperatures. Although they were unable to get us going that night, they were eventually able to get the transmission rebuilt, and it's still working. We truly appreciate their efforts!

It was fantastic!! He came right to the service station where I had broken down, had all the equipment he needed right on his truck, and he went right to work. We thought it was the starter but after checking it out he found that a terminal had rusted thru! Saved money on the tow and didn't need a new starter! I was so impressed with him. He was honest and hard working. I just hope I can still get him after this review! People will want to get him out to their place and I'll have to wait!! Completely and totally 100% satisfied!
