Went in to Public's this evening to get some dinner. Picked up the food & went through the…read morecheckout. Had a young man named Cody checking me out. Rushes to check me out--Sunday evening, not busy. I put in my phone number and it was the wrong number. I told him I need to try another number. He proceeds to tell me he can't do it and rings up my groceries without changing my number. I told him I wanted to input the right number in. He proceeds to tell me I've got to go the main desk to get my number applied. He made no attempt to get help and learn how to make the change. I had to take my food to the front desk. Eventually got the right number in at the front desk 15 minutes later and saved about $3.50 because of being a frequent buyer. Just to add something else there was an older couple in front of me and when he gave them their change back, there were penny's involved. He ran out. He made no effort to call someone to get change he just asked them if they cared. They said no but he shouldn't have even asked. Look this kid seemed arrogant and like he didn't care. He should never be working a checkout. He'd be better off stocking shelves!! He needs better training. Very sad that hasn't been trained better. Disappointed.

My only word of advice would be to be very careful in the parking lot, especially if you're there over the course of a holiday, as it's packed pretty tight and there are people (including kids) walking everywhere. Not sure how they are trained but I would expect an friendly greeting, what the total is and perhaps a "have a great day" as you are leaving. He looked over my head the whole time and acted as if he were inconvenienced. Pretty sure he was focused on the music or whatever was playing on his ear gear. Won't be trying to get in his line again. Might have to seek another store to shop .....
