We tried them again . . . so far they are 4 hours late from the window and their customer service offered no apology! Had a Dumpster delivered by these people and the Driver, Rosa was very pleasant and showed me the best way to chuck stuff in there and how to open the rear door so I could consolidate my junk. I ordered the largest dumpster they had because I had a lot of junk to throw away and I filled it to the rim. Good riddance! I used this company twice, which I thought was good business. Second time the trash as much lighter than first load, mostly cardboard. One and half months after using their services the second I received an emailed receipt for additional charges of $50. Apparently, I went over the weight limit, which I find hard to believe. Had used this company a few weeks ago and initially had a poor experience with them. Was not notified prior to delivery. Dumpster arrived with trash in it already. Dumpster placement was off of the plywood which left an indentation in my blacktop driveway. The pickup missed the time window that was provided. A technician came out to check the dumpster then decided to spray some sort of tire product leaving overspray marks on my driveway. After posting my initial review the owner saw my experience and reached out to me. He was very respectful and willing to listen to my case to help make things right. I appreciated the follow up, however, it was still unfortunate that all of this still happened. If I was to looking to rent a dumpster from any company I would be very strict with the whole process to help lessen any unfortunate occurrences. read more

I never thought I'd be writing a review for a dumpster service, but good service merits a good review. Everything was super smooth from the first phone call to the pick-up. Friendly service on the phone. Small typo in address was quickly corrected. They arrived within the specified pick-up window, with a text update about 10 minutes out. And when I thought I'd just get my daughter ready for school and remove the tarp from the dumpster, I heard the truck in the driveway, and the guy had already removed it, folded it up, and set it aside next to the garage. He also grabbed the wood we had placed underneath the dumpster and threw that in as well. It's those little things that make a difference in service. :) Will definitely recommend to anybody needing those types of services. Job well done. Keep it up! read more

But later I was charged additional amount but overcharged by another $263 claiming that this was over weight which was untrue. I will never use their service and never recommend them. read more

No issues. Delivered and picked up on time according to schedule. They did deliver one that was bigger than I requested without giving me a heads up (would have been a big deal if I didn't have the room). Some trash in the bin but nothing big enough to add weight. They should provide something to lay on the driveway prior to dropping the dumpster, but they at least recommend it. read more

Hind sight 20/20 I wish I would've saved myself the stress. I went to bed every night worried that my project was going to be delayed yet again because of Next Day Dumpsters. Which is bad because you can only get a street permit in DC for 14 days and getting another one costs more money and takes another week and a half to two weeks to process. Here's why this caused me more stress than it was worth: 1) Above everything, offensive customer service. Every time I called and had an issue all they did was argue and tell me how I did it all wrong. The frustrating part about this was that they don't provide you with instructions about how they prefer you to call in the beginning. Additionally, they would regularly interrupt me (a number of staff members) and talk over me and one (George) even went so far as to call me "Sparky"?!? 2) Unreliable. Delivered to the completely wrong location to start. Missed multiple time frame promises. I ordered about 8 dumpster exchanges over the period of 2 weeks and was promised that the driver would call when they were 30 minutes away - I only received a call once. 3) On a the occasions where I confronted them about being late or unable to make a next day exchange they said that they were "too busy" to accommodate me. Maybe "Next Day" Dumpster should consider a more accurate name like "We're too busy for you Dumpster" or "We're not the logistics company you thought we were Dumpster." It's too bad too because if they could fix these issues it would be a really convenient service. As it stands though, I cannot recommend them and do not plan on using them again. read more

Update 11/4/13: The owner, Matt Stone, emailed me last week in response to this review. They've changed their story again, and decided to honor the original refund that was offered to me, plus another $25 for the inconvenience, so a total of $70 off. This is a satisfactory ending as far as I'm concerned. The email was unfortunately extremely passive-aggressive, but ultimately was an apology and they decided to honor the refund, so I'm bumping this review up to two stars, and will remove the all-caps scam warning from the top. Ultimately, I now feel that I was not intentionally scammed, but merely the victim of poor customer service and an inconsistent communication of company policy. read more

Just bought a new house (well actually a really old house). 2 months into the purchase I have a very wet ceiling. Turns out it was a leak from the bathroom above. No other choice than the tear out all the tile and shower to change out all the pipes that were over 100 years old. We were in a pinch and had to get the bathroom torn up before the ceiling below had any more damage. What would we do with all the tile, plaster, concrete (wouldn't work to put it in a trash can+ you can't believe just how much stuff comes out of a tiny old bathroom? Went online and found Next Day Dumpsters, they delivered the dumpster that same afternoon. We were able to keep working and get the leak stopped! So, one last thing. The dumpster is actually pretty. Clarity of pricing and terms of a contract are important to me. But frankly the integrity and customer service from management are perhaps more important to me since I have more control over the former than the latter. I'm always free to shop around for a better deal but it's harder to find a company that deals honestly. When I raised a concern, Jim and Matt, the owners of the company, resolved it to my complete satisfaction. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them in the future. When I needed a last minute dumpster, Next Day Dumpsters was very helpful through the entire process. We have a one car garage so our drive way is skinny and they were able to drop off a 20' dumpster without a hitch, not even my flowers were touched! we ordered three dumpsters within one week. next day dumpsters is unable to deliver "next day". they were late for delivery and we had to check for whereabouts repeatedly. we never got a call 30mins before delivery as promised by them. we got all sorts of excuses why they were late...like traffic etc. i have been doing business in the washdc area for 40 years.....my guys are never late. they gave us a window starting at 6am even though their drivers dont start til later....false advertising. the overcharge fees are not associated with a numbered dumpster or pickup date, thus we cannot check correctnes. During a home remodel, we ordered a 30 yd dumpster for all of the debris. As their website states, "we can offer all-inclusive, upfront pricing.....With a dumpster rental, you can call us to pick up your container whenever you're ready!" Well, this is what I did. About a month after the dumpster was removed, I received an email and charge on my credit card for additional fees (approx. $275). I called the office and spoke to the original sales rep and GM who assured me the additional fees were told to me upfront. He pulled the phone recordings and, surprisingly, nothing was mentioned about the additional charges. Yes....the dumpsters look nice but I'm certain you will get a much better price from other competitors. In the end, who cares about a nice looking dumpster when it's carrying JUNK:) read more

My contractor rented a dumpster from Next Day Dumpsters for a siding and windows construction job. The driver arrived to remove the dumpster from my driveway, and, while loading the dumpster onto the truck, several construction debris items fell out of the dumpster and onto my driveway. The driver then proceeded to load up to leave. When I questioned the driver about removing the items that fell out of the dumpster, he rudely refused, and ignored any further inquiries. He then completed loading up and left leaving construction debris strewn over my driveway. I find this totally unacceptable service for such a trash hauling service, and would not recommend that anyone use their services. read more
