My daughter was thrilled to have Miss Carly again, as she had loved her class the two year ago. When Miss Carly went on leave in March, Miss Kaylee stepped in seamlessly, ensuring the class stayed on track while preparing for the recital. My daughter is now also a huge Miss Kaylee fan! She has been absolutely fantastic--patient, encouraging, and skilled at teaching the fundamentals of dance to a group of energetic 4- to 6-year-olds, all while keeping it fun. We feel so fortunate to have Miss Kaylee this season--she's been instrumental in keeping my daughter excited and engaged in dance.

My two daughters and nephew take classes here and love it. My youngest daughter and nephew (4 years…read moreold) can be handfuls but Miss Jessica is so professional and patient and kind. This gentle but intentional patience is balanced with expertise in teaching young minds how to understand their bodies and how to move. It's great to see them thriving and learning while having fun. My oldest daughter consistently chooses to take more and more classes. She also had Miss Jessica, who I credit to molding her and starting her on her dance journey, and has flourished under the wings of Miss Vanessa, Miss Felicia, Miss Jen, and Miss Jill. As an adult student that never played an instrument before, I obviously need to learn the basics. But I have been listening to music all of my life and I would like to learn to play some of my favorites. Every teacher I tried taught me from a Cello Book One - it was boring and not motivating. Megan is teaching me the technique and theory that I need while we are working on the Bach Cello Suites! It is amazing! She isn't just teaching me to play the cello, she is teaching me to play music! Every child is supposed to get a full recital dance regardless of their skill level but at this school they pretend they are too good for that. They will admit to this in their reply. They will say my daughter is a beautiful dancer (yes) but she was not good enough to get a recital dance (no). They don't actually care how well your daughter dances, they care how much money the parents spend. This is not a great school it is a snobby school. I was the worst dancer at my ballet school and I was better than all the dancers at this place. When I took a class at Metuchen dance the teacher said WOW. My daughter danced at Metuchen dance center for 4 years. This is not a lie. I also took a class there for a year. I know this place well. This year they did a ballet. My daughter was in the hobbit dance, or so I thought. Just before the recital my daughter noticed that she and 2 other kids were standing still for most of the dance, while the rest of her class were dancing. It gets worse. At the actual performance she and these 2 girls were at the far far back of the stage, by the back curtain. They were separated from the rest of their class by a huge distance. They weren't in the second row, they were way way back there. They were background decoration. The rest of her large class were dancing at the front of the stage and for a much much longer time. When I complained about how upset we were that my daughter had to stand still and watch the rest of her class dance her dance, a teacher and the head of the studio insisted that all the dancers were dancing for the same amount of time. It's not possible to lie about objective facts. Everybody can see the video and everybody can count. The rest of the class danced for much longer than my daughter. Then Miss Kerri actually told me that my daughter was lying about being upset about this, because she knew the dance was done a month ago. How awful can you be? Don't give your money to these people. They will treat your child like trash and they will not apologize.

We set up an appointment with Alessandra and with very little notice she helped us out with a beautiful routine that we are now excited to perform in front of our friends and family. My son is 9 now and his interest when he started 3 yrs back was to learn guitar. Brandon advised us to start with piano and learning notes etc. as 6 yr olds do not have the finger/arm strength to play guitar and after a few years transition to guitar. Again honest and very professional, did not try to sell services.Their focus is on music, teaching and what is best for students. Plus Brandon organizes music events/concerts that are a tremendous boost for students especially with respect to stage performance and confidence building. Full disclosure, I wish I met him years ago, but I'm so glad he's in my life now. While in the waiting area, seated in a spot unseen from the employees at the front desk, I was appalled to hear them gossiping about my child. Prices for costumes are not only jacked up but employees are incompetent when it comes to sizes. I expected an appropriate level of service with their expensive costs. And since Covid 19 happened, I'm disappointed with the terrible dance lessons. I'm sorry to admit that I've wasted much time and money on unqualified teaching. They only pay attention to troupe kids and are negligent to beginners. I don't recommend this place to anyone.
