My son who had just started tried a few classes on and off and he found his thing as a hip hop dancer. Both kids love center stage and their teachers too! So, I was so happy when my LO decided she wanted to go back to Kaye Lynn.. Miss Robin, Miss Jasi, and Miss Mary Alice are awesome! Miss Robin has the energy of someone half her age.. they're so fun and full of excitement and you truly feel as though they really love teaching your children. I mean, I sometimes want to get in there and start dancing! The best thing is, they don't nickel and dime you... if classes are cancelled for whatever reason, they encourage makeups in any of the classes when needed. As a new dancer, I have no problems following the choreography, but I still feel challenged. The instructor EJ is great and oh my can he dance. He is patient, professional and charismatic. He is an easy going instructor who gives clear instructions that are easy to follow and has a great sense of humor. His classes are warm and fun and all students regardless of level dance with one another and lend support. As a new member, and without a partner, I was immediately welcomed into the group and made to feel at home and at ease. At $15 a class, you certainly get more than your money's worth, and leave feeling exhilarated, smiling, and excited to come back again. There is no form of exercise that I look forward to more. And Ballroom Dream is a great studio for it!

There appeared to be two parties, one finishing up & one which just started. I assumed we were with the party waiting. (I got there @ 1:35p for the 1:30p start time) I asked my daughter if she recognized anyone from class and she said she didn't so we continued waiting until we saw an employee. Finally we see an employee & she explains the party had already started & the kids were inside playing.. 2nd reason for the 3 stars is that parents were not allowed inside the play area with the kids. I wish this rule was posted somewhere because I like to make sure I can watch my daughter at all times. The window only allows limited visibility. For the most part I was able to watch but this being my first time there, I would have preferred to watch for a few minutes before leaving her alone. 3rd reason, once the party was done playing, everyone received pizza & only the children were offered a drink. Not sure if its the responsibility of the parent throwing the party or if Head Over Heels provides the drinks but this was outrageous. I'm watching parents around me eat pizza with no drink to wash it down. I didn't notice a water fountain or a fridge with beverages to purchase. If there was water or a drink to be purchased, no one offered. I hope my review brings awareness to what I noticed as a parent coming here for the first time. What I liked about the place: There was a stool for kids to reach the bathroom sink & the bathroom itself seemed clean. The employees seemed nice & there were chairs available in front of the window to comfortably watch the kids. My daughter, age 6 had a great time at the party.

Kim allowed a parent to lead a "Team Building" class after I informed her this parent "Kelly (don't know her last name but works at RW Children's Hospital,) used sexually inappropriate language to the girls, (outside her school setting,) GROOMING LANGUAGE and I wasn't comfortable with this "parent" leading a class my daughter had to attend. I was reassured "Kelly would not be leading ANY class" and she (Miss Kim) would absolutely be leading the class." I found out that wasn't the case! Not only did this parent lead the class without Kim present in the room, but during the class Kelly invited the girls to PLAY THE PENIS GAME!!!! Of course my daughter was mortified, and told me as soon as class was over, and once I complained, my daughter was ostracized and treated as if my 12 year old was the problem! Come to find out Kim and Kelly are friends outside the studio... so she was covering for her... Kim is from Staten Island and has a studio in NJ - I now ask myself why???
