I came here with my brother's girlfriend over Thanksgiving from out of town. It's been a tradition that every thanksgiving when I visit, we go and get a piercing. We decided to try this place out for the first time. I wanted a double cartilage pierced and she wanted her belly button pierced. We both have many piercings and tattoos, so we both know the aftercare required to take care of them and prevent infection. The very next day my ear was pretty red and puffy, as was my brother's girlfriends, which we knew could happen. HOWEVER.. within three days of getting it done my ear was incredibly swollen all around and bruised entirely to the point it was going to my jaw. It was oozing and puss was coming out of both of them. It was so swollen it started affecting the other piercings I had in that same ear. When I got back to Chicago I went to my local piercer and he word for word said "who the hell did this?". He said a piercing should never look the way mine did, and I ended up having to go on an antibiotic for the infection and had to have ALL piercings in that ear removed including ones I have had for years. The chair, table, and tray were not sterilized in between my brothers girlfriends piercing and mine. We had been taking care of them like we would any piercing, and yet my ear is still tender to touch as of now. My friend ended up taking hers out as well due to the infection she had. Do NOT go here unless you want a botched piercing. read more

I went in with my Service Dog who is for seizure alert and response. I was allowed to bring him in make the appointment. Then when I came back at my appointment time was told to take my "animal" outside! I stated he was a SERVICE DOG and they still told me to take him outside! That is 1. against the law the ADA says service dogs has access any where the public does. 2. that's discrimination. I was planning on getting 3 piercings instead walked out pissed off and discriminated against. I will NEVER go back or suggest anyone to go there. I will be making sure I tell EVERYONE I see about this experience! read more

Great customer service I wanted to get a nose piercing. Took step by step on instructions. I got it but the piercing had to get switch from a stud to ring do to trying skin trying to close over the stud. They were fast and quick. Very thankful they helped me out. Every time I go in there they have something to lie about. It's frustrating. I went to get pierced and on the phone o confirmed someone could come in with me. When I arrived they said no. I asked how long of a for a piercing changed and element back and forth with a guy who refused to give me a straight answer. I asked to make an appointment and he said no. I asked if I should just come back in 20 minutes and the man said "idk you can do what ever you want that's not my problem" they just rude! And when I called to make an appointment I was told over an hour and a half wait. Not sure how 20 minutes turns in to 90 minutes but okay. The people here are awful and racist. Every time my white friends have experiences in this store they are nice and helped quickly. But for me a black woman I'm given the run around every time. Do not go here. You'll regret it as soon as to walk in. read more

We have always been totally satisfied with the artists, cleanliness, overall professionalism and most important the final project.. It is the only place we even think about going for a piece of permanent art. read more

Their artists arent bad but their aftercare instructions were clearly not the proper "how to" when it comes to tattoos. I was told to apply lotion but to generally keep it dry which I should have known better. The tattoo came out bold in places, which is what I wanted but it scabbed over so bad that there are lightened lines in it from flaking. A & D is your friend, remember that kids! read more

Went to Next Gen for my 22nd birthday with a friend to get matching tattoos and a septum piercing. They were able to fit us in right away, each tattoo taking about an hour and a half and the piercing only taking ten minutes. The tattoo artist was very professional and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. All of their instruments were sterile, the parlor itself was very clean, and our artist was always switching out his gloves if he came in contact with anything other than skin and instrument. The piercing artist was really kind and funny as well, really making an effort to be sure I had a good experience with my first real piercing. He didn't sugar coat any of the pain which I very much appreciated as well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for their next tattoo or piercing. All in all very clean, comfortable, and very importantly--affordable. read more

Beware of this shops "cheap artists".. Nathan gave me a tattoo that was NOT what was on the proof.. it included a grammatical error and a misspelling. The owner said I got what I paid for by going to a cheap artist (the rate was not cheap)... refund was refused. read more
