I didn't have to wait in a long line and the bathrooms were also easily accessible. I was seated in a timely manner with a good view of the stage. My server was very pleasant and took my order with ease. I got a lemonade, stirred at the bar, and veggie nachos. Everything was great! The three comediennes who opened up for Winston Hodges were pretty funny. Winston was also a hoot! I had a great time and would love to come see another show the next time I'm visiting again.

I read a couple of other reviews noting that service was chaotic and that was certainly my experience. After we were seated, it took a while for the waitress to come by. The table next to us told us that they had been waiting 45 minutes for the waitress take their order. It seems like we were placed in an area that was forgotten by the staff. Anyway after we placed our order and got our food & drinks, we never saw our waitress again. She came by at the end to give us the bill but didn't check on us for the entire show. We didn't even get a chance to order our second drink as part of the 2 drink minimum since she never gave us the opportunity lol thankfully there was no fee! For food we split the chicken tenders and fries ($24). Pretty expensive but surprisingly a decent portion with 6 chicken strips. Not to the fault of the venue but there was an incredibly rude and disruptive group behind us which was distracting to the show and really took away from the experience. It was disappointing that staff didn't do anything to intervene and tell her to be quiet. She was talking the whole time and her phone rang twice during the show!! Overall I'd probably come back for another show and mostly enjoyed my time. But at the same time I'm wary after the semi chaotic experience

Grateful doesn't even begin to cover it. I had an amazing…read morefirst time experience at the Filmore. It's been a long time since I've been to a concert, and what I experienced at Tash Sultana's show was unlike anything I've ever witnessed before. Drums. Guitar. Saxophone. Flute. Bells and sooo much more. Vocals that soared from whispers to powerful crescendos. Every instrument seemed like an extension of Tash, and every note felt intentional. People often say music is healing, music is therapy, music is universal. Last night, I felt that. Not just heard it--felt it. The audience wasn't there just to watch a performance. We were there to witness artistry. To share a moment of connection through rhythm, sound, and frequency. For a few hours, strangers were a community united by music/frequency. The team at the Fillmore made the experience even better. From security and "Jay" at coat/merch check, "Meghan" Guest Services, "Bob" food & beverage service (Card Only). I enjoyed my "Vegan" Burger and the refreshing Wildberry beverage in a commemorative Filmore cup. Thank you for the recommendation, Blithe. "Steve" provided kind seating assistance upstairs. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful. Those small acts of kindness matter and should be acknowledged and are very much appreciated. And to Tash--thank you. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously. Thank you for creating a space where people could simply be present, breathe, feel, and reconnect with themselves. I've traveled through a lot in life, but last night reminded me why "live music matters". Some concerts entertain you. Some concerts remind you who you are. Somewhere along the way, my son and I became known as "the cake people." If you know, you know. If you haven't experienced Tash Sultana yet, do yourself a favor: Tune in. Thank you again Filmore for hosting this memorable experience.

This was a GA (General Admission) concert that I attended. I always give it up to people who can…read morestand for an entire show and because I really wanted to see Bob Moses and Cannons, I decided to give this type of experience a try for the first time. GA shows are not easy to attend because chances are, you will run into a more rowdier crowd. Here is how I prepared myself the day of to ease some of my anxiety: - Go early to secure a good spot to stand at. - Drink lots of water before going. You don't want to lose your space by going to the restroom. Expect to stand for 4+ hours. - Eat a good meal, you don't want to faint. - Wear comfortable shoes. We left on a Friday night from New Jersey to Philly during rush hour in mad traffic. Got to the venue 20 minutes before the show started and I was so surprised to get a spot in the first row in front of the stage. I was like...no wayyyy!!! Acoustic here transmitted pitch perfectly. My videos do not do it justice. The sound was incredible. I think I danced every second of every moment. We really lucked out with some of the nicest people around us. While dancing at one point, a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said..."you're like the only one dancing and I think that's awesome that you're not afraid to do so". I replied, it's frickin Bob Moses, how can you not dance? Loved that I got to dance with a couple of the wild girls standing near me. Lol. Staff here are extremely friendly. One of the security guards below the stage was nice enough to ask if I wanted any water. There are a few bar areas for alcoholic drinks and small bites. Highly recommend this cool a$$ venue. It was standing room only for this show but seats were available for an extra $200 in the upper mezzanine, first come first serve. Restrooms: clean and plenty of stalls. Note: River Casino across the street offers free parking. We got to grab a bite to eat there afterwards.

Their ongoing programming is the ComedySportz program. Short form improv that is guaranteed to make you laugh. The performers are INSANELY talented and you can't go wrong with a good BYO. They do other programming throughout the year as well - long form improv, classes, workshops, bringing in popular acts from other cities, and welcoming in collegiate groups as well. I look forward to many more laughs at CsZ and highly recommend adding it to your rotation!

It's now been a few years of attending shows and the theatre has become one of my favorite Philly memories. The amount of laughs from the show will always vary a bit (that's improv baby!!) but what you will always is a great vibe and fun show. The theater space itself is easy to navigate and find a seat for you and your group. I'd say ideally get there 5-10 mins early and you'll have plenty of time to settle in. As others have highlighted it's BYOB which is amazing. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants in the neighborhood too, so I'd recommend seeing a show, having a few drinks and then going out afterwards. I just saw the "Detective Improv" show which is one of the best I've seen at the theater.
