The Comedian was exceptional & the food was surprisely really good. I had an amazing time full of laughs.

Real close to the stage for Martin Amini! I was definitely noticed and interacted with the comedians.

Came here yesterday on St. Patrick's Day with my wife and friends to see Martin Amini. Great show! I'm now known as "Philly White Guy" as my group was not only the oldest but Whitest too according to Martin in the audience of a couple hundred plus for the early show. We had purchased our tickets a couple months in advance and they were waiting for us at the box office (will call) after we made our entrance into the club and were all carded. There's a small hallway of memorabilia signed from past famous performers along with a merch section and then you get to the staff who asks how many in your party and tells the waitstaff where to seat you. My party was second row back off the left side of center stage in a spot that could easily be interacted with by the comedians, which I was being noticed in my Eagles jersey (green for St. Patrick's Day). As I said earlier, it holds about 250 people and it was packed this evening with mostly 20-year-olds and a good bit of 30-year-olds. Everyone had a great time. The seats themselves are better than banquet seats and mostly comfortable. Some table setups will have you seated with others that you may not have been expecting. The waitstaff came around often enough, and the drinks and food were actually reasonably priced. My fried chicken sandwich turned out to be two chicken fingers on a decent sized roll with tomato and lettuce with a zingy mayo that made it much better. I subbed tater tots for fries and they were nice and crispy and came with a small ramekin of ketchup. My St. Patty's Margarita was sickeningly sweet, and the Guinness beer could have been colder. My wife and friends only got drinks which were fine. There is a mandatory two-item per person for the show which could be drinks or food or both. Most paid with credit card on the spot but they did take cash. The bathrooms are in a bar area just outside the main performance area. However, anything purchased there does not count towards your two items so be sure to order with the waitstaff in the main area. After the show as there was a VIP Meet and Greet, they had guests leave towards the door and the VIP get in line on the opposite side of the room. Everyone was orderly. Martin said the show would be featured on his YouTube channel next week or so, so if you see the video about Mike the Philly White Guy being a "Wooden Spoon Survivor" that's me. My wife and friends had a blast and would return to Helium Comedy Club for other shows.

Went to see Steven Ho--got there about an hour before showtime and walked right in without any wait. It wasn't too crowded, so we were seated right away. It did take our server a little while to get to us, but it was understandable since they were handling multiple tables that had arrived before us. Once we placed our order, though, the drinks and food came out pretty quickly. Our server was super friendly, and the show itself was hilarious. Overall, a great experience!

Long standing comedy club in the downtown Philly area. Clean and homey feel. I've been coming here for years. They have some bigger and smaller headliners as well, but always a good show. Decent menu items and good views of stage from the whole venue. Tickets are fairly priced, and their are good food and drink options served throughout the shows. Come here for a date night, girls or guys night out for laughs and fun.

Helium is my favorite! We have gone a few times over the past year and always have so much fun. We usually go to dinner in the area first, but they do have food and it's pretty good. The tickets are cheap, we go for the reserved seats but the general admission ones are good too. There is a drink minimum keep in mind but it's not overly expensive or anything. Sometimes they have late night ticket specials for 10$ tickets if you're a late night person. The service from the waitstaff is always great too. Make sure you tip them well they work hard during those shows!

Went to helium to see T.I. Featuring the HaHa Mafia. The venue was spacious but the hi-top seats In The back were close together. The person next to me (that i did not go to the comedy show with) was super uncomfortable. The chicken fingers and fries were so good. My friend ordered them and I said at 1st I didn't want any but I tried a fry and dipped it the honey mustard. I was hooked and ate most of the meal! The drinks were watered down to me. A great time was had! T.I. Did way better than expected. HaHa Mafia was funny as well.

Ask the Community - Helium Comedy Club

For an upcoming show that I'm interested in, they offer "general admission" or "reserved" seating for $12 more. What's the difference? And don't say $12.

They reserve what they believe to be the best possible seats for you. Otherwise, they fill in tables from front to back as guests arrive, I believe. This way you can arrive just before showtime and not be in the back. You can't, however, request a…

Given that it's a small club, will they be able to seat our party if 4 together? How early should we arrive to make sure we can be seated together?

Yes they can sit your party of 4 together. You can show up like 15-30 minutes before the show and buy tickets onsite. Or you can buy tickets online I think.

    Where's the parking here?

There is a hourly garage next door. Otherwise, metered street parking.

I read a couple of other reviews noting that service was chaotic and that was certainly my experience. After we were seated, it took a while for the waitress to come by. The table next to us told us that they had been waiting 45 minutes for the waitress take their order. It seems like we were placed in an area that was forgotten by the staff. Anyway after we placed our order and got our food & drinks, we never saw our waitress again. She came by at the end to give us the bill but didn't check on us for the entire show. We didn't even get a chance to order our second drink as part of the 2 drink minimum since she never gave us the opportunity lol thankfully there was no fee! For food we split the chicken tenders and fries ($24). Pretty expensive but surprisingly a decent portion with 6 chicken strips. Not to the fault of the venue but there was an incredibly rude and disruptive group behind us which was distracting to the show and really took away from the experience. It was disappointing that staff didn't do anything to intervene and tell her to be quiet. She was talking the whole time and her phone rang twice during the show!! Overall I'd probably come back for another show and mostly enjoyed my time. But at the same time I'm wary after the semi chaotic experience

It's been a long time since I've been to a concert, and what I experienced at Tash Sultana's show was unlike anything I've ever witnessed before. Drums. Guitar. Saxophone. Flute. Bells and sooo much more. Vocals that soared from whispers to powerful crescendos. Every instrument seemed like an extension of Tash, and every note felt intentional. People often say music is healing, music is therapy, music is universal. Last night, I felt that. Not just heard it--felt it. The audience wasn't there just to watch a performance. We were there to witness artistry. To share a moment of connection through rhythm, sound, and frequency. For a few hours, strangers were a community united by music/frequency. The team at the Fillmore made the experience even better. From security and "Jay" at coat/merch check, "Meghan" Guest Services, "Bob" food & beverage service (Card Only). I enjoyed my "Vegan" Burger and the refreshing Wildberry beverage in a commemorative Filmore cup. Thank you for the recommendation, Blithe. "Steve" provided kind seating assistance upstairs. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful. Those small acts of kindness matter and should be acknowledged and are very much appreciated. And to Tash--thank you. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously. Thank you for creating a space where people could simply be present, breathe, feel, and reconnect with themselves. I've traveled through a lot in life, but last night reminded me why "live music matters". Some concerts entertain you. Some concerts remind you who you are. Somewhere along the way, my son and I became known as "the cake people." If you know, you know. If you haven't experienced Tash Sultana yet, do yourself a favor: Tune in. Thank you again Filmore for hosting this memorable experience.

GA shows are not easy to attend because chances are, you will run into a more rowdier crowd. Here is how I prepared myself the day of to ease some of my anxiety: - Go early to secure a good spot to stand at. - Drink lots of water before going. You don't want to lose your space by going to the restroom. Expect to stand for 4+ hours. - Eat a good meal, you don't want to faint. - Wear comfortable shoes. We left on a Friday night from New Jersey to Philly during rush hour in mad traffic. Got to the venue 20 minutes before the show started and I was so surprised to get a spot in the first row in front of the stage. I was like...no wayyyy!!! Acoustic here transmitted pitch perfectly. My videos do not do it justice. The sound was incredible. I think I danced every second of every moment. We really lucked out with some of the nicest people around us. While dancing at one point, a girl tapped me on the shoulder and said..."you're like the only one dancing and I think that's awesome that you're not afraid to do so". I replied, it's frickin Bob Moses, how can you not dance? Loved that I got to dance with a couple of the wild girls standing near me. Lol. Staff here are extremely friendly. One of the security guards below the stage was nice enough to ask if I wanted any water. There are a few bar areas for alcoholic drinks and small bites. Highly recommend this cool a$$ venue. It was standing room only for this show but seats were available for an extra $200 in the upper mezzanine, first come first serve. Restrooms: clean and plenty of stalls. Note: River Casino across the street offers free parking. We got to grab a bite to eat there afterwards.
