They specialize in practical reading, writing, and speaking skills. For students, they have emerging and intermediate programs, as well as classes that focus on parenting, citizenship and workplace English. In April I attended the ESLC for training to become a ESL teacher. For $50 they provide a 2-weekend training at their headquarters in South Salt Lake; complete with heart-string jerking stories of their students, role playing real-life scenarios, creating a lesson plan and a swanky orange tote bag. The staff and mentors are amazing and I completed the program feeling a lot of responsibility in my new teaching role, but well-equipped and with an ample support system. They also encourage you to sit in on a class to get hands-on experience. The staff at ESLC opened my mind to what a impact confidence in language makes. From a parent who wants to ask questions their child's parent-teacher conferences, to an individual that wants a more fulfilling career.

If it weren't for Arnold putting in a little more time with helping the students understand the questions I wouldn't have made it . He is very patient and also makes his students feel like famlee. some of the questions are repeated but asked differently, you have to be able to recognize them, so your not stumped. I wasn't as lucky as some it took me three times on the test before I passed. Thank You Arnold. I love Real Estate.

This school is NOT a college prep school. The administration is more concerned with looking good than providing any education. Students RUN the school, there is no discipline, and when they leave the school to go into high school they are far from prepared. The teachers do what they can but they are not supported at all. The school reduced staff and fired the aides and they were truly a huge asset to the students. The school has gone very downhill.
