Preston is by far the best guitar teacher you'll find anywhere near SLC. He truly cares about his students progress and takes great pride in their advancement. He has gotten me to the point where I can comfortably improvise in any key and make it sound really good while using very complex techniques, and I'm just one example. He is extremely knowledgeable and will teach you anything you want to learn. The group lessons were a little intimidating at first but I soon realized that this environment helps everybody learn much better. And even with the group lessons he still personalizes the lessons specific to your skill level. Preston is always pushing his students to try things that are challenging for them so you actually learn and make progress with his lessons. You're not just learning a new song every week, you're actually learning how to play the guitar and be creative with it. I had been playing guitar casually and taking lessons on and off for around 4 years and was barely competent with rhythm guitar and barre chords. Preston and Kaden are awesome. I started in my late 20's and had tried (and failed) to teach myself online. The school is a bit different to get used to, but once you get comfortable in the group setting it makes it much easier to hone your skill and get better.
