Let me start by saying I love this store and it's been one of my favorite vintage stores in Knox…read more But, after my experience today, I doubt I'll go in again, I mean - there's plenty of other vintage shops so I'll just go elsewhere. I just had to post a review because the experience was so unacceptable really. My boyfriend and I were shopping and as usual had a simple nice conversation upon entering the store with the sales person and then started to look. Then the comments started. The salesman kept making crude comments to my boyfriend and at first we kind of laughed them off. Then he started following us around the store, asking him to go to the "VIP" room with him or bringing him shorts to try on or off for him. Another time he came and asked him to try some vintage underwear on that were hanging in a booth. Finally, I said okay that's enough he's mine and tried to keep intrigue but let him know that this wasn't really our interest. He made some very lewd gestures and said even more inappropriate things and after that we quickly wrapped up our shopping and left. We were uncomfortable and frankly, we just aren't people who it's easy to make uncomfortable like that. It was icky. Not sure what was going on but it was really really bad. I don't know if he's the owner or just an employee but I know we won't be going back.

I came over here a few weeks ago on a Monday and waited for them to open and 15-20 minutes after opening hours no one was here and the door was still blocked with items. I called and got their voicemail which said that summer hours would include being open on Mondays 12-7. At that time there was no sign on the door saying closed for the day. I decided to try again today. Called twice before heading over to the store to see if they would in fact be open. Still no answer other than the voicemail, but the voicemail still said they would be open from 12-7 on Mondays. So, I decided to risk it. I just drove up to find out they still are in fact not open, at least they have a sign on their door (spelled wrong I might I add). If you are going to have a voicemail listing your hours of operation, you need to update it if you are going to be unexpectedly closed on a random, non holiday, day. This makes me very unlikely to come back because I don't want to waist my time or gas.

I spent awhile looking around and it was fun. It's always enjoyable when taking a trip down memory lane. My favorite thing there is playing the Dolly Parton pinball machine. It only costs a quarter to play. The shop then donates the proceeds to Imagination Library. There's a great variety of clothing from different eras & styles . It's easy an to find place. There was enough parking in the area when I went & I appreciated that. Give this place a look because you'll definitely enjoy the experience .

Staff was very kind and was very helpful. Shirts were a little much but the fabric being used was very soft and plush so it makes up for it. Will definitely visit again when I come to visit Knoxville again!
