****I WAS NOT PAID TO DO THIS REVIEW**** I've been renting from NextCar for almost a year now and they have been nothing but friendly, accommodating, and the rentals are super affordable. I have had zero problems since I began renting and they have gone above and beyond for me every time there was an issue. Not to be rude, but I think the negative reviews are generally due to customers not reading the policies correctly, maybe not being truthful about damages, and/or poorly communicating with staff. They have been amazing to/for me and have earned my business forever to be honest. I can't say enough good things about the service, plus the prices of the rentals beat out the other rental companies around. I also want to mention that I've rented from Hertz and Enterprise many times and I know that the credit card/credit check or a very large deposit for debit can be inconvenient. Nextcar does allow Debit Cards for payment, as well as a CDW for a reasonable cost if you don't have rental insurance. But never have I felt like the staff didn't know what they were doing or didn't care and they treat you like an actual person instead of just being "White Chevy Spark due Wednesday". Please consider giving them your business, I think it's 100% worth it. Thank you to Yana, Gloria, Joy, and Brianna for being great!! My experience was not the best. The first vehicle a Chevrolet Trax 2017, engine light came on around day 4. Had to return this vehicle. The 2nd vehicle was a Chevrolet Trax 2018. This car was supposed to come with a key fob. It was in the description. After many calls I finely spoke to someone who agreed that I would be reimbursed for the cost of the key fob and programming. On day 5 the engine light came on in this car. The turbo charger needed to be replaced. I had to send this car back as well. My 3rd vehicle is now a 2017 Ford Escape and so far so good. It was disappointing getting 2 cars with engine issues. I thought the cars were supposed to go through a thorough inspection. read more

If anyone is trying to rent a car from this company, run as fast as you can. I rented a car from them on 8/5 for a 4 day rental, the first car they gave me was a piece of junk, the air did not work, the radio did not work and it had a awful odor from the vents. I immediately turned around and took it back, the 2nd car they gave me was mechancially un-safe, as I was getting on the highway, the car bogged down like it was going to die, I quickly pulled over avoiding a rear end collision from the car behind me, again i returned and was given a 3rd car, which apperead to be safe. The next day I was driving on the highway, and the tire blew out, I was at a rest stop exit and pulled off to change the tire. The spare was a space saver and clearly stated on the side to not exceed 35MPH, The highway I was on was a 70MPH speed limit, I called the rental office, no answer, which was a Sunday so I understand that, I called the roadside assistance number in the contract and no answer, I left a message at both numbers, I waited two hours and no call back, I then had a friend come pick me up, Nextcar finally called on Monday and I told them where I was at and where the car was. They went and got the car, they billed my checking account $1,011.90 for the rental and then proceeded to file a claim with my insurance company for $5,423.89, which my insurance has not paid due to lack of cooperation with them for inspection of the car. I would not have prodeeded with this company after the first car but it was Saturday and in a bind to rent a car and every other car rentals were closed.
