Before I end my "positive list" I would like to recommend getting here early. Here is what they need to improve on: 1. The reason I recommend getting here early was because of their poor concept of crowd control. Luckily I got here just in time to squeeze inside the doors, but the other unlucky audience people had to wait outside in the 90+ degree weather. They could have easily fixed this by having people wait under the covered walkway connecting to the school. 2. The sound from the speakers was a little "wonky". In other words, it was loud at one second and the next second it was muffled. Other than that, I didn't have much against this place and can say it was a good Church show! Here are a few suggestions to make your experience the most enjoyable! 1. Remove any expectations of Cirque de Soleil. This is NOT your traditional Cirque de Soleil show. I have seen three Cirque shows, 2 in Vegas and one at the National Harbor in DC. This show is not on that level, it is however a nice upgraded circus filled with acrobats, water and lots of of oooh's and aaahhhs. We had two children and two adults. The kids are 5 and 7 and the entire time their eyes and mouths were open wide. Besides, you get what you pay for..and the last few Cirque shows I saw I sure didnt get the tickets for as much as a discount as I got these! 2. Arrive early! Especially if you have discounted tickets. We brought our tickets on GoldStar and there are two lines that will form. One to switch your printed confirmations for a wristband and one to actually get in. Call me a super planner, but we arrived in the area at 5pm. Had dinner at Red Robin, got over to the ticket trailer at exactly 6:30pm (wristtbands available 2 hours before the show) and then waited in the car for a few and got in line at 7:15pm (doors opens 1 hour before the show. They were a little delayed (about 5 mins) but it wasnt bad. Yes, its a lot of waiting, BUT we were the 3rd family in line and had front row blue level (the middle level) seating. Remember seats are 1st come, 1st serve. Although the tent is very intimate and there really are no bad seats, we still wanted to pick the seats we wanted without effort. Gold level ticket holders have a special VIP line and get to go in before everyone else. We had blue levels and our seats were fine. 3. Go to a later show. The heat comments freaked me out! We even saw a woman come out of the 5:30pm show as we waiting drenched in sweat. Our show however was very comfortable and cool and I'm thinking because the sun had gone down. It was warm, but not unbearable hot. So if you can go to a show a night. It will help! 4. Bring cash. The price for food was reasonable--$5 slushy, $5 funnel cakes, $3 large popcorns, etc. Not bad! But they only take cash so plan ahead of time. Also- we didn't do this, but bring your own snacks! They did not check our person and a few bags of popcorn in a ziplock and juices and water in a big purse could save you some money! 5. Sit back and enjoy! With a little planning this is can be a very enjoyable show. The show was long! We didn't get out until 11:15pm, BUT the show was so captivating that we didnt even realize that the time had gone by. Which usually would be no big deal, but I also dislocated my knee cap. Within 30 seconds 3 ushers appeared wanting to know how they could help, as I sat there crying "I don't know but I'm NOT missing the end of the show! The hospital will be open when the show is over!" These amazing ladies, who I wish I knew their names to thank individually, literally ran and got me a wheelchair & wheeled me into an accessible seat for the remainder of the show & I didn't even miss a single song! Thank you to those wonderful ushers who helped me.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL THEATER!…read more Sterling Playmakers production of Godspell was nothing short of amazing and it was a momentous occasion because it was their first production since being shutdown due to the Covid-19 virus. The cast was very diverse In every way; age, race, religion, size, you name it! It was beautiful to see so many different and relatable actors up there, it made my heart so happy, & all the actors were incredibly talented with some real powerhouse voices. WOW! The stage was simplistic and perfect for the performance. The pit band was actually on stage where you could see them play & they did an amazing job as well as lighting and the rest of the crew. Due to the recent surge with the Covid Delta variant everyone was required to be in a mask but I appreciate the safety and concern for others. I was so thrilled to just be a part of this special occasion and wonderful performance! Way to break a leg Sterling Playmakers!

While I had attended a Cirque De Soleil in Vegas a couple of years ago it was hubby's first. Thankfully I agreed to go to this show. It was a much more enjoyable experience. The area is small enough that you see the performers up close. While the stage was smaller the up close factor made it awesome. I whole heartedly recommend attending this sort of Cirque De Soleil performance. The next time another such performance comes to Tyson's Galleria I will be sure to look into tickets right away. Next time Cirque De Soleil comes to Tyson's Galleria I would encourage folks look into attending. As an added bonus there are an assortment of restaurants close by making it an easy two part adventure with family or friends.

Yikes! Second, the ordering process could've been smoother. While it was nice we could order concessions to our seats, the lack of QR codes sent to our email, lighting to scan the QR code, and the fact that it was a complete dead zone so we had to join the wifi just to use our phones to order = inconvenient and difficult. It was also challenging to use the paper form and menu when there wasn't sufficient lighting. Other dine-in theaters like CMX provide a light you can turn on for this. Finally, the service for ayce popcorn was very slow. And there weren't free refills on the sodas.
