We went back and forth with the Team for a few weeks on details, measurements, etc before beginning the project. The team was very attentive and incorporated all of our feedback into the designs, with clear estimates of how our changes influenced price. During the project we had some hiccups with communication, but nothing we couldn't overcome. We love our new area & will definitely keep Pascoal in mind for future work!

This company was an absolute joy to work with. The owner of the company (Dario), his foreman (Jorge), and his carpenters (Mateaus & Manchin) all demonstrated a work ethic that is almost impossible to find in modern times. The quality of the work performed by Mateaus & Manchin) was superb, and they were understanding and responsive to our requests throughout the entire process. The foreman (Jorge) was here daily, overseeing the work while it was being performed. He also made numerous trips to the lumber store to pick up any materials that the workers needed, so they would not have to stop work. After the project was finished, the owner and foreman made a final inspection of the work that was performed and corrected a couple minor oversights (that I hadn't even noticed). When the project was done, Jorge came by and picked up the left-over materials and returned them to the lumber store. Dario assured us he would provide us with a check for those unused materials. Should I need any carpentry work in the future, I will not hesitate to use Pascoal. I only hope I will be able to use the same skilled workers that excelled in completing our project. Thank you Pascoal - job well done!

I wish there had been more reviews on this contractor and maybe that should have been a sign not to…read moreuse them. Jesse was very prompt at coming out to provide a quote, and it was reasonable. We agreed on timing, and I assumed there were no issues. However, the day before they were supposed to start the job I got a text indicating they were going to be there at 10:00am instead of the original agreed upon 8:30am. I had scheduled someone to wait at the house for them to arrive because I was away on business. Jesse finally arrived at 2:30pm. He did patchwork on the walls to prep them and indicated he would be back the next day to begin painting. They were a no call, no show and to this day I still have not received any feedback. Obviously I will be getting someone else to finish the job. Luckily we had not paid any money for the work up front. This was very frustrating as my house had a bunch of patchwork (not sanded yet) and no paint, and my son's birthday party was that weekend. Jesse had assured me the work would be completed before the weekend to avoid the house being a mess for the party. Obviously his advertising that his company puts everything back the way they found it is not accurate because they don't even finish the job or tell you they aren't going to finish it. He also apparently does estimates based on whether or not he thinks you have money, which is very unprofessional. I highly recommend picking someone else for any repairs or painting that you need.

I blame myself for not doing more research! Jesse is kind, I can honestly say that…read more We paid Jesse $6,000.00 to paint 2,000 square feet. When they finally left after 9 days (originally told us it would only take a week), my husband and I spent 14 hours cleaning, scraping paint off floors, light fixtures, blinds and putting our home back together - despite Jesse advertising that his company puts everything back the way they found it. Check out this review from another customer: http://reviews.birdeye.com/jesse-l-brown-custom-painting-home-repairs-819904768 EVERYTHING this gentleman says is true! I took pictures and documented everything that occurred because I honestly kept thinking they would just not show up one day! Jesse was late EVERY day until his brother, Donny, started at day four. Donny was extremely professional and did an excellent job. (We regretted that we didn't discover him individually) But, Jesse shared with me at one point that he couldn't have Donny every day because he couldn't "trust him around customers" and "won't work on credit". Donny later mentioned that he was sorry he couldn't be at our house to paint the first few days, but Jesse didn't have any money to pay him, because he had bills to pay. So, that must be what happened with the $2,000.00 down payment I gave him! At day two, Jesse reassured me that he wasn't going to charge me as much as what he charges people who drive Jaguars and BMWs. (comforting to know he jacks up his prices if he "thinks" people have more money) On day three, he texted me at 7:30 and said he was "stuck in traffic on 26" and would "be a few minutes late". He showed up at 11:40am! Mind you, I live in Summerville, so it's the OPPOSITE of the heavy morning commute traffic to downtown! When he arrived, he asked to go over paint colors. I was literally dumbfounded, because I had given him colored/labeled printouts of every color a week before he started! He even texted twice over the weekend before he started, assuring me that he had "picked up supplies" over the weekend so they could get started early Monday morning. Jesse's last words to us when he left our house were, "Call if there are any problems". I called him the very next day, when I began noticing just how many sloppy issues there were. His phone appeared to be shut off. In an attempt to speak to him and give him an opportunity to make this right, I emailed. His response back was that he would call me in a couple of days. It's been seven now. I haven't mentioned the in-fighting between the son and Jesse, the son and other "co-workers" bickering and how uncomfortable it made us. Nor have I brought up the sister (who was also, nice, by the way) explaining to me that she's bi-polar and is on five different medications!@#$%^&* Her husband was just as kind and was so thankful that Jesse was paying them cash because he's currently on disability. Again, if you could pick people to socialize with, this family would be a riot. They were all nice and seemed to be decent people. Professionally, however, it was the worst experience I've ever had within the service industry. The reviews I've found seem staged and purchased, now that I reread them. Almost every review I can find mentions "saving 20-30%" over competitors. Honestly, folks, it's worth a little more money to have a PROFESSIONAL, QUALITY job that doesn't leave you stressed and contemplating a lawsuit!
