My experience with Dr. Lie was horrible. I have a herniated disc in my lower left lumbar. He reviewed my MRI finding out I have arthritis in my back. The cause was cortisone shots given to me though the years. He still wanted to give me shots that I had to drive to Provo for. But if I didnt get the shots, he wouldn't treat me otherwise. Scared that something else would happen to make my back worse. When I saw him to refill my scripts, he gave me 2 2 weeks rather than a month. I was going to be in San Diego when I had to fill the 2nd script. I asked him if i would be able to fill them in another state. He told me yes. Well, when i got there not one pharmacy would fill out of state. I called Dr Lie and he told me there was nothing he could do. Really? Either he lied to me that I was able to fill in another state or he was ignorant about laws of what he does for a living. If you dont want a Dr that acts like that you are a inconvenience to him, I would recommend not going to Dr Lie read more

I went to Dr Rosenthal with lower back pain, he diagnosed me with a problem that could be resolved by shocking the nerves on both sides of my lower back, L1,L2 and L3. My son came from Texas to Utah because my husband has advanced cancer and only has a few months to live. My son had a botched neck surgery in May of this year and takes Morphine Sulphate ER for severe pain. His prescription for this controlled medication has to be renewed each month by a pain specialist like Dr. Rosenthal. Yesterday this doctor gave up on treating my son's pain. His website says, "Coming from out of town? Dr. Rosenthal and the Nexus team are dedicated to treating and relieving your pain. We won't give up until we find a solution" but, yesterday he spent two hours with the Nexus team, only to be told that treating HIS PAIN was not something Dr. Rosenthal WANTED to do. They gave him a list of doctors in Salt Lake City and said, "Better luck with someone there." What happened to their "dedication to treating pain?" They say, "We won't give up until we find a solution" but they gave up on my son. He saw a PA but Dr. Rosenthal would not even see him at all. We have never encountered such an uncaring, undedicated approach to treating pain as my son experienced yesterday at Nexus Pain Specialists. read more

I have been a patient at the pain clinic for 7 years now. I have degenerative disk disease in several disks in my lower back. Before I became a patient here, I was not able to do the things I loved to do... riding 4-wheelers, off-roading, amusement parks, even shopping for more than 30 minutes was too painful for me.... vacuuming.. etc. I felt my life had pretty much been halted for any outside activity that I loved. Dr. Rosenthal did an RF procedure on my back which helped me a huge deal. I need to have it done about every 9 months to a year. But I have my life back, I am now able to do the things outdoors that I love - plus... I am not so grumpy (from the pain) I highly recommend this team! I will say that i did not see Dr. Rosenthal it was His PA on the 1st visit I asked if we should do a Mri he said no and jumped right into procedures for my neck pain and migraines I went 6 months to him before i finally had enough he was not helping me he assumed I had arthritis in my neck never did any testing. Went back to my family dr. requested a Mri and there it is I have chiari 1 malformation. Wish I wouldn't have wasted the 6 months with this guy. i feel like i was his lab rat that he could get more practice on with the procedures he did. I will say that his office staff was nice. He was nice just didn't have the knowledge i needed he did burn the nerves in my neck and it did relieve some of the pain but that came back by the time i quit going to him it was slowly returning. read more

We took our Mother to Nexus Pain Care last Friday and met with a wonderful PA. He explained everything very well to us and reassured us that they could help her back pain. We took her down on Monday for an injection and was very disappointed with the overall care she received. We found out that the Doctors had not looked at her MRI before hand and they had not communicated with the PA, who had all the information concerning her prevues health record. Her blood pressure reading was extremely high before the procedure on Monday and no one seemed to care! She was also asked to sign a disclosure for a Doctor to be able to observe the procedure however, we found out that this Doctor was actually doing some of the procedure and not observing. We all thought this was very unethical! We also found out that during the procedure the Doctor could not get the needle to go into her back because the muscles were so tight. This caused excruciating pain throughout the whole procedure. They asked her to try and move when the needle was in her back and she was absolutely tortured though out the entire procedure. Once they brought her back to the examination room in a wheelchair she was in significantly more pain and could barely walk. As for today she is not doing well and we are probably going to take her to the ER. Thanks to Nexus and their quacks our mother is suffering more today because she did not receive the care she should have. I would never recommend anyone to go to Nexus. read more

I went to Dr. Rosenthal for chronic pain and at first I thought everything was going to be great. He told me that he was going to cure me and all I needed to do was a bunch of expensive procedures. Now I would have gladly pay (I did pay him a lot of money) a ton to be pain free and cured. So I had several of the radio frequency nerve ablations (after seeing several other doctors who told me that my pain was caused by more than one nerve and that this was never going to work) and none of them worked. The main problem with this is we had a treatment plan and they decided to change it on the fly (to make more money) without even consulting me. So I had to suffer for a long time before he came up with another cure. To see if this new cure was going to work he was going to do a simple nerve block in my neck. However, he made a mistake on an injection in my neck and now I have even more pain then before. He injected too much dye and kept digging around trying to find the nerve (this was a diagnostic nerve block) and he kept stabbing the nerve over and over. Finally he injected the anesthetic and I was glad to be out of there. I went to another pain clinic,(Utah Valley Pain Management - Dr. Ockey) and have found a place that has been able to manage my pain. So, just use caution with Nexus Pain Care, I would hate to see anyone else get hurt by this group. read more
