I just want to say that Slater and his crew really know their work! They were on time, The equipment was in great shape. He had the correct climbing gear for trimming branches high up in those trees. When they arrived, Slater discussed the job with us that they were going to do. Him & his crew were very meticulous about the work that was performed on our property. They were careful driving on our lawn, cutting down and cleaning up branches and large hunks of wood, also did a good job removing the stumps and cleaned up all the mulch, as well as replacing black dirt in the holes where the stumps had been removed! They also reseeded & mulched with straw. We had grass growing within a week and a half, and now you cannot even tell there were trees in those spots. We had met with a half dozen other firms regarding replacement of a deteriorated, timber-lined hillside path to the lakefront. There were significant challenges due to slope, established trees, and limited site access. We also wanted the new path to be integrated and consistent with the existing landscape. At our initial meeting with Joe, we were impressed by his enthusiasm, creativity, and attention to details. We worked with him for about six months to refine the design, address permitting issues and select materials. Joe was always responsive to requests, offered constructive recommendations and enhanced the project design. Beyond replacing the path, we added a patio and seating area. The project took four weeks to complete in the fall of 2023. Joe's crew was exemplary - they were talented craftsmen - expert hardscape installers who worked hard all day and were mindful of neighbors' concerns - which were very few. The project was completed on time and on budget. We are pleased to have worked with Joe and his Landscape Architecture team and with the completed project.
