I dropped off two dresses on July 31 for minor alterations and was given a completion date of August 8. I stopped by on August 7 by mistake and was told they would be ready the next day as scheduled. When I returned on August 13, two days before my event, the dresses still had not been touched. I had made it clear both when I dropped them off and when I stopped by on the 7th that my event was August 15. When I handed over my ticket on August 13, the first response was essentially, "I'm usually behind," which was frustrating considering they were already five days past the promised completion date. She offered to complete the alterations in an hour while I waited. When I politely asked whether there would be a discount because of the delay, her attitude completely changed. She became rude and told me I could take the dresses somewhere else, stating that her labor was already cheap. At that point, no labor had even been performed. Being busy or running behind is understandable, but repeatedly accepting work with promised completion dates you cannot meet, and then becoming rude to a longtime customer for questioning the delay, is unprofessional. If you are consistently behind, it may be better to stop accepting additional orders or give customers realistic completion dates. Unfortunately, after more than five years as a customer, this experience was enough for me to take my business elsewhere.

I dropped off two pairs of jeans on a Friday and the lady told me it would be ready by Tuesday. That is a quick turnaround to me because most places say at least a week. Tuesday rolls around and I asked my sister to pick up the jeans. When she gets there the lady told her the jeans weren't ready, that she should come back later, this was at 10ish. I arrive later around 3ish, and she tells me the jeans still aren't ready that I should wait about 30 mins. I was a little annoyed but I decided to wait. My jeans are finally ready and I decide to try them on before I leave just in case it needs a little bit more alterations. One out of the two pair of jeans I felt I wanted to send them in at the waist a little bit more. I bring that to her attention and she immediately starts to raise her voice and tell me no that this is the way that I wanted it. I was kind of shocked because I'm at an alterations place isn't the point of coming here is to get alterations. I explained this to her and her response was you're gonna have to pay extra. Why am I paying extra when I already paid for this service and it wasn't right. Why can't you just make the alterations? I wouldn't have mind paying more, but it's the way that she said it was kind of rude. I had already waited 30 minutes, I had to come back again because my clothes weren't ready. She didn't have no concessions for me. I already thought to myself that I probably wouldn't be back just for the fact that I had to come back twice, but I for sure will not be back. I picked them up only to be handed to me with glue obvious from each side of the shoe. also drawn on my leather shoes with black markings to cover damage from glue. the response was well we can't return the shoes to your in new condition. I never asked new condition but to perform the repairs i asked for. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Horrible experience and wouldn't return my $ as I prepaid.
