I Love this restaurant! I always order take out and my order has never been wrong. My favorite is the Beef Stroganoff over fettuccine. It is delicious. It has a lot of perfectly cooked beef in an absolutely divine cream sauce. We usually get an order of fried mushrooms & there is always enough of them to share. The portions are large, especially by togo standards. I always get enough for two meals out of my one order. The owners and staff are always friendly and never seem to be put out with my togo order , even if it's a large one. As long as Nicholas is open I'll keep going back. read more

Lovely, family-owned business. We like to eat in or take out. Friendly and we always get excellent service. It's been a joy to watch the owners' children grow up. Best menu items, in my opinion, are the stroganoff, chicken gyros, tomato mint salad, and baked spaghetti. The owners have also put a lot of thought into the decor. Fair food, but horrible atmosphere and service. Gave them 2 chances and they failed miserably both times. Nearly empty restaurant and no bussing of tables, no drink refills. Just the waitress sitting at the desk with her back to the room. Go somewhere that at least acts like they want your business. 2 Stars because the food was actually pretty good. If I could, I would rate this place a 2.5 stars. I love Gyros, so I've had several from several restaurants to compare this to. The food- the food looked sad. The ingredients on my plate were the basics, but my plate was just sad, no presentation. The flavor was ok, but I ordered my wife a sandwich to-go and the cheese was not melted, and there was no seasoning. The food was also over priced for the value we received. If we received two gyros with more than 12 fries, I would of been satisfied paying $14. The Decor - the outside was not welcoming and this should of been our first indicator. The inside was nice but everything is out dated. I hope things improve for this restaurant, I really want to support local businesses. read more

Great food, awesome hosts and service! We've lived here our whole lives and never stopped in. I'm certainly glad we did! The prices are right especially for the quality of steak! The guy that runs it is a complete asshole! My mother was still trying to finish her meal when they were closing and he tried to literally bodily throw her out! If we hadn't have had to wait so long on the food, then we could have been done by 9:00. He was really rude and very loud. Before he had his wife working in there I have seen him absolutely rip female servers to pieces. He never could keep help. I've seen him to it to her too. I used to go because I thought the food was good but then he got on the news acting like a mental patient and then trying to pull my mother out of the booth to get her leave. Nope! Nicholas Restaurant - The Baklava is GREAT! - Greek Near Me - Tullahoma, Tennessee

My dad and I went here for lunch and really enjoyed it! He had the lamb/steak gyro and I had the chicken gyro. We both agreed everything was very flavorful and tasted wonderful. The salad they brought out before the meal was also really great. This place is such a nice turnaround from all the fast food and chain restaurants in town. I also really liked that it's a family owned restaurant. Couldn't have asked for better service than what we got from those two super polite kids. I'll definitely come back here the next time I'm in town and would highly recommend it to others. read more

Didn't get a chance to eat here. But based off of my experience with the man in charge, I can tell you it it isn't worth it. Man in charge is very rude when you try to be nice. Man needs to be humbled. There's a reason why those parking spaces are empty. DO NOT park there if you plan on eating at Yamato's. This has to be the saddest excuse of a restaurant! When you walk in, you are greeted with a table full of laptops. I think I counted four! It's not an internet cafe so I have no idea why they had those there. Second, the service sucked. Our server was so meek we can barely hear her speak and she never cleaned out the table when we were done with our salad so our table was overflowing with used plates. She also didn't bring our check to the table like she did to the other customers. She acted like the restaurant was full but there was at the most 3 tables including us. Now for the food review. The food tasted good but it seems like they lost their love of cooking food. The plates we ordered were thrown together haphazardly. I made a comment to my friends that they missed the food plating class during culinary school. I will NEVER go to this restaurant again. There are way better restaurants here in Tullahoma. read more

Family owned and run, one of the best places to eat in town. Always stop in when I visit my parents, delusions gyros and baklava.

We were seated near a table and heard a lady ask for butter and the owner tells her she is too fat for butter! He later on hands her a gym card! Now this lady by no means was what I would consider overweight and even if she was no one needs to be disrespected in this manner especially if they are a customer in your establishment! I was underwhelmed by this restaurant but I have high expectation for Greek. Salad was large and really good. Chicken Gyro was average, just didn't seem to sizzle. I think the bread dragged it down. Beer selection was below average, but it was a small place. They have a diverse menu so I'm not ruling out that some of their more Italian items might be better, but I'd guess more average, was just a simple place. Prices good, service really good. read more

Ordered Greek shrimp with tomato and Feta over rice. Got a half-dozen very overcooked shrimp- an epic rip-off at $16.00. Dingy decor and atmosphere. Also, TVs in restaurants is bad enough, but I discovered too late that it was tuned to Faux Snooze. If I wasn't so tired and hungry from a long day on the job, I would have noticed, and that would have been a deal-killer. I will not patronize any establishment that thinks it's OK to subject their customers to such idiotic trash. Of course, people around here eat it up, which is probably why they do it. Only giving one star because I have to.. would happily give this a negative star review if I could. Visiting Tennessee from Florida, we decided to try a family restaurant to get a feel of what the locals eat. Upon arrival we're confused by the atmosphere but greeted quickly and seated. Fast forward to the meals, staring with the salad; lettuce was very wet almost soupy, with little to no toppings. French onion soup was mostly a soaked piece of bread with a large amount on melted cheese on top and what seemed like an entire onion chopped up inside. Our entrees: Beef Stroganoff-$17.00 "made with the most expensive part of the cow"... served on top of fettuccine, with barely any sauce and the steak that was on top seemed like it was microwaved from frozen. Not worth it at all! Second entree was the 8oz ribeye with a side of roasted Greek potato fries. Ribeye came out with zero seasoning or flavor and, it was a 1/4 inch thick. After the first two bites of the ribeye we let the waiter know it was not worth the $18.00. It was removed from the table and taken off the bill. When the waiter returned I was asked if I wanted a box for the beef stroganoff. I let him know I didn't not want to take it with because I did not enjoy it. He removed it from the table, and moments all hell broke loose. The owner came out and had his hands in the air and said "what's going here?!" He rudely explained to us that he has been in business for 33 years and has never had a complaint, and that it's strange that two meals were not enjoyable. He told us the "beef" in the stroganoff was filet mignon. When I finally got a word in, I explained we were not trying to disrespect him but we did not enjoy the food. He threw his hands up again and walked away. We walked to the front counter to pay our tabs and he argued with us again for not liking our meals. We tipped the waiter well as it was not his fault that father was rude to customers. I don't understand all the bad rap this place has...I very much enjoyed the food and service every time. I find the owners very pleasant and the food has always been really delicious. Everyone gets so used to chain restaurants that they complain when a small business can't offer that same atmosphere. People need to learn that places like these are charming and they'll come out with a much happier experience. read more

Advertised as a Greek restaurant but needs to improve it's selection to meet standards of other similar restaurants. Kabobs are the establishment's highlight. When I come to town to visit my mom, I generally take her out to eat. We tried this restaurant for lunch today. Nice quiet dining room, with somewhat Spartan decor. I had the beef filet souvlaki, which came with a good small Greek salad, rice, tzatziki, and pita. I found it quite tasty and well prepared. My mom had the avgolemono soup. All of this was quite a bit better than any of the chain restaurants in town, and quit healthy in comparision to the fried foods and french fries that one sees elsewhere in town. read more

I love Nicholas Restaurant!! They have a wonderful Greek salad. I cannot imagine why the other reviewer felt that it wasn't good. I've been to Greece. Nicholas' greek salad is as good, if not better, than the Greeek salads I had there. I've had many meals there: pizza, baked spaghetti (to die for!!!), tsatziki (YUM!), gyros, so many items on the menu I've had over the years. It's great, whether eating in or taking home. Nicholas runs a family restaurant. His children are there when they are out of school, therefore the presence of the laptops. I cannot imagine why that would bother anyone. They are sweet children. At times they will bring your drink or food. I always leave a dollar for each of them when I leave. It's a family restaurant with great food and service! If you are expecting great atmosphere, go to another restaurant, probably in another town. If you wish authentic Greek food, go to Nicholas Restaurant!! read more
