My first time visiting a salon in several years. This place cam with yelp recommendations so I…read moretried it out. Overall its small but nice and relaxing inside they do offer you a beverage. Scheduling was not a huge wait or hassle I believe I was able to schedule in about one week or less time. Price I honestly felt is average for a "high end" salon. Most I have been to charge in the 40-60$ range for a cut. I got a short cut and it was 46, which was nice because I thought it would be higher so I was able to tip him well. Now onto my cut.... It came about pretty nice I am happy with it some things to consider... I have not had a stylist in 3.5 yrs I had been cutting it myself. I was really ready to chop it all of so I was super filled with gratitude. I think I did not give my stylist full free reign to choose a short style for me, so I think he found a decent medium space between not over short for me. I do wish things like texture ends around my face and bangs he had used more point cutting on. More scissors vs razor or texturing shears which he used quite a lot. Those are just the small details that change a cut from I like to it I love. None the less I like it and I am pretty happy. My guess is that they maybe don't do a ton of short cuts here, seemed to be some trophy wife clientele and young college girls with longer hair. I cannot review color I did not get any color here.

Dan is that person for me. Every 6-7 weeks I am in his chair for highlights and a cut, plus extension maintenance, and he absolutely nails it every single time. My color is always seamless, my cut always feels fresh, and my extensions look so natural that people are constantly shocked to find out I wear them. He has an incredible eye for what works with your face (heart shaped) and your hair's actual texture (mine is super fine and thin). Beyond the technical skill, Dan is just one of the best humans you will ever meet. He listens, he remembers the little things, and he genuinely cares about his clients. I believe he's been there 8 years or so now. It's a perfect fit for him as a stylist and me as a client. Eddy is a true artist in his craft. I have had every colour, cut and style and then some. Anything Eddy or I could think up over the years, I've worn it. Over twenty years later and I still get compliments from complete strangers on my look. I owe it all to Eddy! The atmosphere is upscale but not stuffy. The staff are a knowledgeable group of extremely talented hair, skin and nail artists. The pins were all sticking out and she did very weak curls even though I said this has to last for the next 5 to 7 hours within 90 minutes, the whole Hair design was falling out the back pen braids were completely loose and falling out and the very loose sloppy curls she put in with the hot iron were completely straight... It was like taking $100 bill and burning it. Buyer beware not all of their stylists are competent.

My hair was left frizzy and not smooth at all, which defeats the entire purpose of a blow out. See attached photo. Bad blow out aside, the behavior from Cathy was just so unprofessional and out of line. She said multiple times that my hair was fried even though she had just put very high heat on it, causing it to look that way. She also suggested that I hair cut another time to take care of that. I didn't ask for unsolicited advice on my hair, just wanted a professional blow out. Not only that she made some very strange comments about how Indians (I'm Indian) are considered Caucasian. I usually schedule my appointments through the Vagaro website. Over the years, several stylists here have done my hair. They all have started my appointments on time and spoken nicely with me. They make my haircuts the correct length, and they make my highlights a flattering tone and level. Their curling or straightening of my hair looks really good. The prices vary based on the type of service and the level of the employee. For a few years, one stylist charged me for a more-expensive balayage, although she actually did less-expensive foils. (When I first began to come here, foilyage was not on their menu, and one stylist did not know what it was and incorrectly said that my previous salon did not know what they were doing!) Furthermore, she performed add-ons without asking or telling me, and at the cash register, she whispered or wrote down these additional services to her coworker who entered them into the computer. Therefore, I deducted one star from my review for that reason. My current stylist Maleah charges me for the correct service, $192 plus tip for full foils and a haircut. For years I bought their hair products. I am not a fan of their shampoos, but I like their flyaway-fix product.
