What I didn't like had to do with coloring and other things that had nothing to do with the quality of the installation. They redid the floor and I'm now loving my new shower. Their admin person is very responsive and got back to me right away to schedule an estimate for our project, which consisted of a lot of smaller stuff on a new home. The estimator was scheduled to come out between 12 and 1 on Monday, August 24. We hurried back from a camping trip to make it on time. When he didn't arrive by 1:13, I followed up. I got a call right away saying he couldn't make it until around 3. 3:00 rolled around and I get another call saying he couldn't make it until 4:30. Third time's the charm, I guess - he did finally show up at the end of the day, walked the project, and said they would love to handle it for us. He promised an itemized bid by Thursday. Thursday rolled around. Crickets. Friday. Nothing. I emailed again on Sunday to check on the status of the quote, and got an email back Monday morning saying, "The proposal is still in progress on our end. However, I just reached out to the estimator for an update on when it is expected to be completed. Our proposals typically take 3-5 business days, so you should receive it sometime this week." Fast forward to the end of Friday and still nothing. 9 business days, no quote, no updates, after completely blowing the initial appointment. Very disappointing.

After the contract was signed, the owner of Vostok, Alex, arrived with the demolition crew. The crew was very careful to cover the adjacent bedroom furniture and flooring. I have done a lot of work over the years and am happy to say that if you live in this area, he is your guy. He was fair and honest from the get go. The price he gives you is the price you will pay. I never received any surprise "change orders". As contractors go, Omar was VERY open and communicative. No problems ever getting him or his crew on the phone. He had great suggestions on all things we discussed. Always seemed to know a lot about his work and various things people like. The project was a big one, and I am super happy with how fast it went. He even got started for us over Thanksgiving and Xmas, and his crew would show up on Saturday or Sunday sometimes to keep on working (which was fine with us!). There were no subcontractors involved... everything was through Noor Construction. If we had any minor issues that needed correcting, Omar would come and look at it and tell his crew what to do. We really appreciate the details, crown molding and trim was superbly done, and the tile was just amazing, we are very impressed with his team. I mean seriously anyone who has attempted to do crown molding in the past knows what I am talking about. For details if you've made it this far, our story: Where shall I start. I suppose we start with the idea: build a bedroom in the second floor space of our "great room" which has really tall ceilings... like 30 feet plus. So basically add a bedroom in the second story "empty space" above the first floor. Easy right? Well, after getting ghosted by several contractors, I finally called Omar. He informed he thought we were probably getting ghosted because the architect had told him that footings were needed to support this new bedroom which would be sort of like an island in the middle of the house. We live on a hill, so these support columns would have to go through the first floor, basement, and then under the house. This added to the cost, but we really wanted a bedroom in that space. Omar gave me a price. I told him no thanks, my wife and I thought well maybe we changed our mind as the cost came in higher with the footing work. After a few weeks, we talked it over, changed our minds. We really needed the bedroom. I called him, thinking "gosh he probably won't want our work". Omar came back, no change in price, same deal as before, he didn't even bat an eye, he was ready to go, and this was like 4 weeks later after I told him no. So yea, it was project that I was told was too much for people, everyone didn't want to go get permits or deal with the footings... Omar told us what to expect and stuck to the plan. He dealt with the County and the inspector always came and said even himself "these guys know what they are doing". We passed all inspections. Omar even was super flexible about adding things to the project as we went along, as you know I get ideas about what I might want, we added some carpeting and shelving, and additional tile work that he added at no additional cost to him. He really just knows what he is doing and is super on top of things. So go with Noor Construction if you have the chance, you won't regret it!

We are still in that phase where we sit and stare in awe at what ADH accomplished for us. This major construction journey began last fall, when I thoroughly researched every well-reviewed home remodeling company serving this area. I only considered companies with more than 4 stars on Yelp and Google. We interviewed and received bids from five of them, and we were comfortable choosing ADH. We now know we made exactly the right decision. Amazingly, ADH came to us with a proposal that included everything on our wish list, and at a significantly more reasonable price than any of the others. We were impressed by their showroom, and we were especially drawn to ADH because it has its own manufacturing facility, where it custom-makes the high-end cabinetry it installs. Osa was our designer, and she was terrific. Osa was easy to work with, always available when we needed her help, and supportive in every way imaginable. Spending at this level, and contemplating at least a month of daily construction in the home, is stressful. Yet Osa assured us and explained the process in ways that alleviated many of our concerns. We felt fortunate to have her at our side all along the way. Every single ADH employee that we interacted with was a pleasure to deal with. Andrey was our project manager, and his competence and calm demeanor throughout were always helpful. Our remodel involved having workers in our home every day for a month. The respect and care they showed for our home and our comfort throughout the construction period were above and beyond anything we expected. I am posting pictures of the before and after, but no photo can do justice to the dramatic difference these changes made to our home. The quality of the cabinets is outstanding, the countertops are magnificent, and the fit and finish of every part this project are first-class all the way. The work can look good initially, but in my experience, the quality didn't hold up over time--especially with the finish work and subcontractors. A few examples: 1. Tile work had issues. Fixtures were not properly pre-fitted before drilling, which caused alignment problems (sink hitting the ledge). 2.Tile installation was not fully level/flush, 3.Trim and baseboards were not finished correctly--joints are now cracking, and surfaces didn't appear to be properly primed. 4. My new flooring was scratched when heavy items were moved, despite asking them to wait for help. This was never repaired. 5. Does not double check work, he will come back to fixbut this ahould not be the homeowner responsibility. Based on my experience, I would be cautious relying on them for detailed finish work or subcontractor management. For more basic scope (demo, flooring install, paint prep, windows), they may still be a reasonable option.

For our main stairwell, we needed to build a closed stringer, custom railing, newel post, stair treads to match existing floors, and trim work. He was the ONLY person willing to custom build the newel post to the exact dimension and style I wanted and actually sat with me and drew it out exactly. Every other bidder told me my only option was to choose from a catalog, but Russ fashioned it from scratch! This convinced me he was the one to hire for ANY CUSTOM WOODWORK. Russ brought my vision to life by closing the stringer and building a clean and simplified trim. He worked with me on the stain for both railing and stair treads and did not give up until we were both satisfied. Matching the stain and matter finish of our floors was a major accomplishment in and of itself. For anything involving woodwork, Russ is your guy!
