Dr. Constantinou sent me a letter stating he didn't want me and my daughter to return to Westlake…read moreDental (after years of going there) because we were upset at how she was pressured into getting dental sealants on all of her teeth by the dental hygienist. Even though she initially said no, the hygienist working with her cleaned her teeth and had her being questioned by three people about why she couldn't pay $500 asap for dental sealants. The secretary stated that Dr. Constantinou would call us but we never ever received a call or text ( even though I had been a pt there for 6+ years). I have attached the letter he sent to both me and my daughter. I am also posting my response. Please read his attached letter before you read my response Dear Dr. Constantinou, You are right. A Doctor-patient relationship depends on mutual trust, clear, communication, and the ability to work together towards appropriate care. I feel like that this was compromised when your dental team made my daughter feel as if she was being judged just because she did not want to get dental sealants applied to her teeth. Initially , she made the team aware that she did not want the sealants applied. However, even though she told the team no, they kept pressuring her to get them asap. The correct way to help her feel as if she really needed them- even though they were elective, would have been to ask her to do some research about them and think about it. Not make her feel as if all her teeth would rot right away if the sealants weren't applied. This also cost her an additional 500+ dollars for her dental bill that she couldn't really afford. I see now that you could care less about mutual trust. It seems as if you don't care at all. That's why you never called to find out what happened or even called to explain why this was such a good decision for someone who didn't have the money . So if getting rid of us makes you feel better about not following up and keeping her money. Then I don want you to be my dentist anyway.

Hands down the best dental experience I have ever had. The staff are super professional and know…read morewhat they are doing. Dr Khalil did a root canal and an extraction of a different tooth. He had great bed side manner, and made me so comfortable. I have a fear of dental work which many people do. Best $120 I spent on the gas given to calm down. But I will always use AICO'S and Dr Khalil for my dental work.. thank you so much, you guys are really awesome.

This dentist office was on my insurance list, so I called them up and made an appointment. I asked…read morethem on the phone if they took my insurance, and they confirmed that they did. Then I took off work to make the appointment (they weren't open during my nonwork hours) and when I got there, they told me they didn't take my insurance, but they would only charge $100 for an exam/cleaning. Considering my copay would be much, much less than that, which is why people have dental insurance to begin with, I declined and left. I am not sure if this is some scam they run, or the office staff is just incompetent, but I'll be avoiding them in the future. On a sidenote, they require a facemask currently. It's probably a state requirement, but it still seems pretty silly since the whole point of a dental visit is to have someone look and work in one's mouth.

Full disclosure: Placing review here as I was sent a survey by the Practice when I attempted to…read morecomplete I received a message stating that it was closed. I would not recommend a friends and family as that was the question on the survey. Last two visits I left feeling as if my teeth were unclean. The first visit I understand the covid restrictions were in place. The second time I called first to verify that there would be no restrictions on my cleaning or I would have just changed the appointment. I was assured there were none and that there was a new "young" hygienist ready to complete my service. I have to say my hackles raised a little at the Young comment as I would have preferred an older Tech to begin with if we're going to allow for choice as experience far exceeds youth. Especially in this case.... Dental hygienist could not, in my opinion, handle my sensitivity (no issue with the previous dental hygienist), and did not really attempt cleaning above my gum line where I have most of my issues, however did make product suggestions before I left. Their admin assist is excellent she listens she's funny and she does not BS around. I take issue with the dentist as I'm not sure if she's a little sensitive but any questions posed to her I received "tech support face" as if I should not be questioning her even though her hand is in my mouth and I'm paying for a service at her practice.

If you're looking for friendly, professional staff who work with you to achieve the best level of dental care for you, then this is the place. The staff is incredibly pleasant and they remember you like family. They are gentle, don't make you feel bad if you have a history (or lack thereof even) of poor dental health, and they work hard with billing to reduce costs. The lobby is comfortable, they send out convenient text reminders, and they even send cards for you on your birthday! I love my dentist!!

I was a skeptic. Dr…read more Moodt does not take insurance (but the office will bill them to see if they will reimburse for anything). I have had decades of jaw issues, TWO previous TMJ surgeries and was sure I was on my way to my third. My trusted general dentist reported many patients have success with him so I thought i would give him a try before going back under the knife. Enter Dr. Moodt. A very specific appliance, some specific TMJ therapy, and 9 months later and I am nearly "cured." Trigeminal nerve pain is gone. So glad I took the chance.

You WILL pay out of pocket and at the time of your appointment. 3. They do accept Care Credit and will provide you with the information re: applying for Care Credit if you so desire. Dr. M knows his stuff. He is a TMJ specialist for a reason; I've even heard him referred to as the TMJ guru. The man has done this stuff for years and you're not going to get this care from someone else. Trust me. I attempted a visit with another "TMJ Specialist". I called, I asked, does he do this type of service? Oh yes, I was told. $40 co-pay, a panoramic xRay later, and I was phoning Dr. M to schedule an appointment cause this "specialist" referred me to Dr. M too... Let me set the record straight. While you will pay out of pocket, the office WILL submit to your insurance companies. So you may be reimbursed if your insurance works with that, so all is not lost. Staff: Pleasant. Office: Dated. Clean. My complaint is they have plug-in air fresheners and I'm scent-sensitive so this sets my allergies off when I visit. They did remove it upon request though. Ease of Appointment Making - Very Easy. They make the appointment, mail you information prior to you going so you're prepared re: Care Credit, paying up front, and have all your information filled out so you're not doing that in the waiting room. If you need follow-up appointments they work with you to get the best time for your schedule. Bedside Manner - Fine. I was happy. Dr. M obviously has been doing this for a while & has his routine which worked for me. He gave me the amount of time I needed. He worked with me to get my bite guard adjusted comfortably (which took some time) and told me to call if I felt it wasn't working right. His language and explanations were fine and I didn't feel like he was talking down to me, or above me. All in all, I'd recommend the man. While I get why he doesn't do the insurance thing, I wish he would. But, regardless, he has my $$$, and I hopefully soon, will have less TMJ symptoms.
