We had the most incredible time at our wedding reception at Nickajack Farms in North Lawrence, Ohio! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely perfect. Allison was phenomenal to work with throughout the entire planning process. She was so organized, and her attention to detail made everything come together seamlessly. On the day of the event, she truly ran the show--keeping us on track with the timeline and making sure everything went smoothly. The bartenders were amazing, too! They felt like part of our group of friends, which made the whole atmosphere even more fun and personal. We danced all night and had a blast! We can't thank everyone at Nickajack Farms enough for orchestrating such a fun event. Their team went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and that we had the best possible experience. 5 stars, 10 if I could. We've taken our toddler to Nickajack for both the fall festival and the winter "Christmas On the Farm." We live up near Akron, and before recently, we had never known about this beautiful farm. Fall Festival was so much fun - perfect for our 1 year old and I'd imagine fun all the way thru school agers. Corn pits, short corn mazes, friendly farm animals, slides and playgrounds, and activity areas galore made our little one's day. He loved seeing the resident rabbit hopping around the farm. Beautiful decor, treats, and gifts were inside the temperature controlled barn near an outdoor pumpkin store and even a small area for the littlest ones to pick their favorite tiny pumpkin. We brought friends for Christmas on the Farm, and everyone had a great time. We werent sure what to expect, but everything was organized and done really nicely while keeping a good pace. We started out with ice skating in the main admissions barn, followed by decorating cookies in Mrs. Claus' barn. She gave us lots of time as our 6, 4, and 2 year olds iced cookies, telling us about different things, reading stories, and engaging the kids. Next, we ended up in Santa's barn which was nicely decorated to look authentic. He told the older kids some fun tricks while slowly warming up my cautious two year old. Before long, he had gotten my son's attention by giving him fives and my son was in his arms at his tool bench helping him build a project with a toy hammer. SC spent a lot of time with our children which was a special bonus, and afterwards they got to participate in an "indoor snowball fight" and make reindeer food amongst other crafts. On our way back to the main barn, we picked up the fresh, hot cocoa and cider included in our admissions. We will be back to Nickajack for future events especially in the fall and at Christmas. The Christmas event just blew us away, especially for only $12 admission. If you're looking for fun for the younger set in the fall or an absolutely magical (or convincing) visit from Santa, look no further. read more

We came here for a birthday party and while my son had a blast, it definitely could have had a better flow. I'm not sure if it's the farm or the mom, but there was a LOT of wasted downtime that could have been spent exploring and playing. We were able to ride a horse (which he LOVED), and then play in the hay barn briefly before a tractor ride. Sadly had a terrible experience here as a guest at a wedding. The staff treated the guests horribly. The bartenders employed by the venue were rude and unprofessional. The wedding itself was beautiful but I've never seen guests be treated the way they were at Nickajack. For the price they charge, you can book with other places in the area and know that your guests will be treated with respect. I would never host an event here and would try to talk any of my friends out of doing it either. read more

Nickajack Farms offers plenty of activities for kids and adults. You'll find wagon trains, a mini old west town, pumpkins (lots of them) a straw maze for kids and a corn maze for adults. They also have pumpkin bowling, hay rides, a petting zoo and a discovery barn. The corn maze was a lot of fun and very well thought out. Each intersection had a corresponding question provided to you on a sheet of paper. Signs were posted at the intersection with two answers. Get it right, you go the right way. Get it wrong you hit a dead end. (Don't worry, answers are provided.) The discovery barn provides kids a great learning opportunity. Around the sides of the barn were all kinds of information on agriculture and kid-friendly learning stations. A couple of craft tables filled the center where kids can make a bee, trace pumpkins and create a Jack-O-Lantern mask. There was also coloring stations, a "corn picking" field, information on wool shearing, an sandbox with corn instead of sand, and lots more. Plan on 3-4 hours to do everything and then you'll be able to take your time without having to rush to get to the next thing with the kids. read more

Appreciated the tickets from Yelp as we had a fun family day at Nickajack Farms. It is a bit of a drive for Clevelanders but it is worth it. When we first drove into the farm, I was impressed by all of the pumpkins! There are several pumpkin patches with beautiful orange, green, and yellow pumpkins. There were plenty to choose from and you don't have to pay for admission into the fall festival to go pumpkin picking. I loved the little pumpkin patch for younger children - it was perfect for my toddler as he could actually pick up the little pumpkins. Nickajack also has several photo opportunities - places where you stick your face in the hole as well as beautiful pumpkin displays to take a family photo. The Fall Festival was more than what I expected. My toddler couldn't take advantage of all of the activities (although there is still plenty to do), but I think it'd be perfect preschool and young schoolage children. There were slides, swings, obstacle courses, mini pumpkin golf, corn kernal "sand" box, corn maze, hay maze, etc. We had a blast exploring the different areas as well as checking out the horses, goats, chickens, and sheep. They have some educational areas as well. The tractor ride around the farm was a little bumpy but still enjoyable as you really get to enjoy the beauty of the farm. It is a little long (30 min?), but it was nice to just sit and rest after playing on the farm. There's also a fall decor store in the front as well as a farmers cafe. I didn't check out the menu so not sure what food they sell. However, we brought in Swensons with no problem and there are a few areas with picnic tables. Would recommend wearing tennis shoes. Most of the farm is gravel and while my flats were comfy, an athletic shoe probably would've been better. And lastly, the bathrooms were portapotties but at least they were clean! read more

Took our two grandkids for horseback lessons for their birthday! Lesson was complete, safety was their concern in and during the lesson. The instructor allowed the kids (5 & 10) to Guide the horse while she walked along to ensure rider was safe and the horse was well behaved. We took still and video during their lesson and rides. They had a lot of fun. They had farm animals to pet and a lot of kittens around! The office is the first building and they have a building there for the restrooms! The horse barn and indoor walking area is a short walk from the office. They did not have a clean place to sit for watchers. We had to stand the whole time we were there! Parking is at the office for visitors! Staff was very polite and friendly. The ranch/farm has other activities such as the maze and similar activities! read more

This place is a great activity place for the younger crowd as most things are smaller sized. There were different areas for activities: farm animal playpen, kid hamster wheel run, peddle car race track, water pipe construction area, a corn pit sandbox, corn stalk maze, gourd golfing, tractor ride, obstacle courses and a playground. There was plenty on on site parking and a great size selection of pumpkins. I'm glad I had coupons to get in as this place is a little more expensive than the farms we usually go to. The biggest let down was the food. As in why aren't they trying to sell us any by setting up fall themed snack shops around this place? There was one spot by the corn pit sandbox that only sold soda and small pre-bagged popcorn. read more

decided with wonderful weather to take a drive to Nickajack Farms. Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch. so much to do for families and also for couples. Dave and I had a blast playing putt putt with mini gourds. and going through a corn maze. they also had obstacle course and playsets, pumpkin bowling, a corn box.. yes.. like a sandbox.. paintball and hayrides through the grounds. they also had a train to get you to the pumpkin patch where you could pick your own pumpkin! nice gift shop and overall a fun day. left in an even better mood! read more

Visited for the fall festival last weekend, and had a great time with the family. My little one really enjoyed the corn pit and the petting zoo. Parking is easy, and they give you a small map of the farm when you pay to show you where each activity is located. There are a few pricing tiers depending on how much you want to do, but we found the smallest package ($8) to be more than enough fun for a couple hours. I didn't immediately realize it when we got there, but you can visit the farm and enjoy some of the activities without paying an admission fee. read more

Attended a wedding and reception here. The lane leading to the facility was nothing but mud and huge potholes. I realize this is a farm, but growing up on a farm I know the lane does NOT have to be this bad in March. When my husband suggested he could help them find someone to correct this, they said they weren't interested in fixing it! There was no working outside lighting when we went to leave and with no lighting no way to see that you were stepping into mud and puddles over my shoes to get to our car (we used a bucket of water to clean our shoes when we got home). Their mode of transportation to the "Barn" was a tractor with open trailers for seating. It was raining! At least provide covers for the trailers. We were not impressed. Maybe they should have given more thought to inclement weather conditions when designing their facility. The "handicap accessible" restroom sign on the second floor was a mystery since there was no sign of how a handicapped person could get up to the second floor. Beautiful stairway but get real. read more

We went to the farm the last weekend of September of 2016. I took advantage of the educators pass and brought my 3 kids. We had a blast and were there for 4 hours. We ate lunch there. We were lucky to get a shaded table but it would have been nice for others if there were more tables under shade. The kids love all the hands on things. The lady driving the train to the pumpkin farm was such a sweetheart and really spent extra time with us the make sure we had a great time. I believe her name was Elaine. My kids love that and the corn cannons the most. I feel like we were stuck in the corn maze a little too long but I could see how others would like that! It wasn't a busy day so I don't think it was needed but if it were more busy I would hope there was a stronger presence of staff walking around the hands on areas making sure people are being safe. Overall I would highly recommend others to go. It was a great time and my kids are already asking to go back! read more

Went first day of 2016. Not worth a 30 minute drive. Website exaggerates the activities. LOTS of bird and mice feces on the kids interactive learning items in barns. Multiple activities not prepared, no batteries in pig races, no air in pedal car tires, no balls for miniature golf. Staff not able answer questions about activities. They've spent lots of money on the "store" but very little on staff or "fun" for the kids. read more
