Melissa Had A Little Lamb
Ethan T.

The Olympia was full of meat! I loved the ground beef on it. The sauce was flavorful. The crust was great. The Melissa Had a Little Lamb pizza is a gyro pizza. Their is tsatziki sauce on the side. The baklava was some of the best I've ever had! The service was great. It took 6 calls to get through, but I'm happy I ordered. I now am aware that there are 2 numbers to reach Nick's at. I came to pick up the pizza, & it was being freshly pulled out of the oven upon my arrival!

Chicken from the meals they offer with bun, Jo Jo's, and salad.

They have great pizza's and we grew up with Nick's as one of the best Owatonna pizza options. Tonight we were in the mood for broasted chicken so we thought, why not try Nick's? It was horrible but not just the chicken. The chicken was over done--the photo shows that. In addition it was extremely salty, we couldn't even eat it. It was a $45+ loss. Because Nick's has a reputation in Owatonna, I wanted to share with them how we couldn't even eat the chicken and they should check it themselves before serving more of it tonight...so I called to let them know.... The phone was handed to someone to take my statement--this lady was short with me, cut me off, said they have already served a lot tonight with no complaints, and I was hung up on. It will be a long time before we go back to support Nick's as a small town business, if ever. Worse than the chicken was the customer service. I was asking for nothing but to be heard and that was too much to ask it seems.

Mediterranean pizza no olives

Recommended to go here by a local person, not super impressed. Pizza was good, nothing unique or big flavors. Pizza was very sloppily thrown together, no care (see photo). Guy raging my order repeated everything I said as a question, and got a lot wrong even after I repeated myself numerous times. A nickel-and-dime-ya kinda place too--upcharge for a little extra sauce, no substituting spinach for olives, etc... Good, not great, prices not bad. Better pizza at Taste of the Big Apple and much friendlier.

Had take out only, was surprised that they beat their delivery estimate by a half hour on a Saturday. Decent small town pizza.

This is the best Pizza in town. I love the thin crust, seasoning in the sauce and tasty sausage.

Pizza was good. A little doughy in the middle. Wings were bleh. A little pricy for what you get. Service was friendly.

I really enjoyed the sesame chicken. That was my first time seeing it at a Pizza Ranch buffet. The caramel apple pecan dessert pizza was tasty! I like that they do seasonal dessert pizzas. I always request a Buffalo chicken pizza upon my arrival at the buffet. The worker brought me the fresh pie to my table to grab a few slices! Then I went back to the buffet to grab more of their best pizza! The chocolate chip cookie was great. I do miss their buffet have butterscotch pudding!

That's okay, because the piping-hot fried chicken more than made up for it while allowing my two pizzaholic diners to pig out on pizza to their hearts' content. I tried several pizza options as well as side dishes at the chicken buffet bar, but the offerings were fairly mediocre, which was understandable given it is after all a pizza buffet setup so quantity was definitely more name of the game than quality. Even so, pizzas on the menu that currently aren't at the bar could be ordered and made fresh, with slices being delivered to the table and the rest added to the pizza bar rotation - an awesome service and a pizza lover's dream, I'm sure. That chicken, though. Succulent, moist. Crackling-crisp skin that's not overwhelmingly salty. My plates started coming back loaded with nothing but bird, and I was completely happy about it. To end the finger-licking meal, I moseyed on over to the bar of dessert pizzas topped with apple, chocolate, blueberry, and plain icing. Every one of them looked quite appetizing. I'm a chocoholic and was alerted to fact that the chocolate pizza was unusual, so I of course went with chocolate. It was crisp, tender, and delectable enough that I considered getting thirds of that alone. I may have followed through on that thought. The pizza may not be spectacular, but it's a lovely casual space that allows pizza lovers to go to town and offers delectable freshly-fried chicken for those who need a pizza break, so we'll definitely be back soon knowing my two carbaholic tinkerbugs. I hope the chocolate pizza will be there again. Just saying.
