Ok, so I've been going to Dr. Boudreau for almost 7 years. I do not EVER want another Ob/gyn. She is that amazing. I live in Somerville and will take the T all the way out to Brookline to see her forever. Example: I tried to get a UTI treated somewhere else, and surprise surprise, it kept coming back. When I called Dr. Boudreau's office, her staff immediately found me an opening for the very next day. When I went in, she calmly listened to the odyssey this had become, and asked me to call the urgent care center that had my earlier test results. She sat with me while I asked them to send over their lab work, and when they gave me a little trouble, she actually got on the phone with them herself took care of the situation with grace and efficiency. UTIs, IUDs, Gardasil shots, yearly check ups, each and every time the same high quality experience, without fail. Yes, there can be a long wait for an appointment when you're a new patient, but I think that might be because she definitely prioritizes care for her current, long term patients. For the first time in a long time, going to the doctor was as close to a pleasure as it's possible to get when that experience involves a pelvic exam. The receptionist, the assistant and the doctor were all very friendly, efficient and kind. The latter two in particular were brilliant as we went through my medical history, giving me enthusiastic encouragements about life/health improvements I've made. I felt like they really cared about my health...and it's sad to say that is an uncommon feeling for me in my medical experiences. Dr. Boudreau was great about explaining everything - why she asked a particular question (for example - why she needed to know if I have ever had surgery), what she was doing, what kinds of things they would be testing for and why, etc etc. She looked me right in the eye and explained things during *all* the procedures, and any woman can appreciate that being genuinely conversational in that situation is no easy feat. Let's be real, nobody likes going to the gyno. I am especially squeamish and get really terrible anxiety every time. I hadn't gotten an Ob/gyn since relocating to Boston, but after getting recurring UTIs all summer, I knew it was time. I thought it would be super hard to get an appointment given the great reviews but they were able to see me the same week! The nurse who did my exam was seriously amazing. She was super personable, asked detailed questions without making me uncomfortable and was efficient and gentle during the exam. They set me up with an account at Quest Diagnostics so I can go whenever I'm having an issue and they can get me antibiotics for my recurring UTIs asap. They also have an online portal where you can see your own test results and access your medical records. Great! read more

Dr. Nicole Boudreau is seriously as good as it gets. Going in for one's yearly check-up can be cringe-worthy, and since I'm new to the area, trying out a new doctor for that check-up was especially so. Afterwards, however, I was wondering what the big deal was. Frankly, I'm a bit sad that I won't see her again until next year. The same can be said for the rest of the staff in the office; the nurse, Nancy, is just as personable and welcoming as Dr. Boudreau, and the receptionist/admin completed the trio of friendly faces and good vibes. The location of the office is fabulous, as well. It's right off of the C Branch of the Green Line, and Beacon street has ample parking in the immediate area. read more

Dr Boudreau is fantastic! I've been going to her for about 6 years now and cringe thinking of the day I may switch to a health insurance that won't include her, she really is that good. She is very easy to talk to, you never feel like there is anything you can't bring up with her, judgement free. She really takes the time to listen and address all of your concerns. She is great at her job, quick and painless on the routine stuff. I've even had some not so routine things that could be pretty uncomfortable but she talked me through it and did a good job considering I tend to overreact to even a little pain. She also calls back right away if you're having any issues. She is caring and from all my experiences very intelligent. The office is very small and older, although it was updated in the past few years and is on a part of beacon street in brookline where the parking is always easy with a few quarters. I've always found the staff to be great too, the nurses are really nice, they'll even hold your hand during a procedure! Dr. Boudreau has always been a very in-and-out doctor for me, as gynecologist visits should be. I've been going to her for just over a year now and have been happy with her in the two times I've been there. Dr. Boudreau is very personable, if a bit rushed at times. She's the best I've seen at being able to hold a comfortable conversation while performing a pap smear. She answered all my questions regarding my birth control, and is very receptive to patient questions and suggestions. I called as a first time patient and the woman was SO rude I can't even believe she has a job that requires interacting with other people. I have heard great things about Dr. Boudreau, but unfortunately when you have an appointment scheduled for 2 months and they call to cancel it 3 days before and can't reschedule for another month, NOT WORTH IT. I understand that things happen, but why have a doctor you can't see. Being told, "well you were offered 3 times and none work for you, so you're out of luck" doesn't seem like a viable business plan. She might be great, but the staff and scheduling is NOT. I don't care how long they spend with you, why would you ever have a doctor that cancels at the last minute and can't reschedule. Just my opinion, but something seems off about that. Maybe I've just had consistently bad luck for the past 5 years I've been seeing Dr. Boudreau. I think at first I was blaming her staff for incompetence and not delivering messages to her, but now after experiencing back to back horrible experiences, I will be changing doctors. Her bedside manner is atrocious, she's consistently 30 minutes late to her appointments without apology, and then rushes you out the door. She promises to call with test result and literally just doesn't. One time I needed medication and used her answering service. When you're an on-call doctor, you're supposed to call back within 15 minutes of being paged. After an hour passed, I called again. Once 4 hours rolled around, I was furious. She finally got around to calling me back, again, with no apology. If you're looking for dependable care, I highly recommend you look elsewhere. read more

I'm not a fan of doctors. Not OB-GYN's, not dentist; Doctors in general. I don't like them and I don't trust them. I know, I sound weird, but it has to do with the: "someone telling me to do something I don't fully understand" factor or the ever popular "why the heck should I tell this to a stranger?" component that makes me wary about them... Having said that, I've come to know the one doctor I know I would tell anything to: Dr. Boudreau. I trust her wholeheartedly. When I first got into the office I got a bit nervous, what's with the "old aesthetics" (must confess the office needs a bit of work), but that was soon forgotten when I started talking with the doctor. Such a difference from my previous "judgy" gyno (with her condescending looks and all)... Nope! Dr. Boudreau not only listens to understand but she explains things to a T. Being a chem. engineer myself, I like to understand what different medications are meant to do. And thus, how they may affect me. I like to know my options. She's right there with you, and treats you like an intelligent person who has invested interest in what's being explained. She forgot to put in a prescription for me, but she promptly did it once I gave the office a call, and she took the time to call me personally to apologize. I appreciate that kind of care. A reco: renovate the office! I just think the office should match the great quality of the doctor. =) Other than that, this is a doctor you want to go to. Warning: if you're a first time patient it takes forever to get in. I don't mind this though, since it's speaks to the fact she's crazy busy, and if she's busy, she must be good. ;-) She however took in a great friend of mine who had an emergency in a matter of a day. I have only been to Dr. Boudreau once, but when you find a friendy gyno who truly cares about her patients, you need to tell people. When I went to my appointment I had forgotten to have my other doctor fax over my records, and instead of dismissing me, Dr. Boudreau hunted down the records for almost half an hour. I saw Dr. Boudreau a couple times before (5 years ego) and I was very impressed with her. My last experience in 2018 was just a bad jock. She suggested to do several blood hormone tests assuring me after looking and analysing them, she will propose a treatment plan. Then she just disappeared. I never heard from her. After making several follow-up calls about my results and dealing with Undrea, very unfriendly receptionist, I just gave up and I will never come back. I have had several issues with trying to get information on test results, unsolicited medical advice from staff members not qualified to provide it, and an aggrevating attempt to receive my medical records despite 2 months of repeated requests. While Dr. Boudreau is great, her receptionist, Undrea is beyond horrible. Not only is she rude but I'm not sure when she actually works because it seems like every time I call she's not in the office. This, of course, leads to me waiting at least two days for a call back from her IF I don't have to call myself to follow up. When I do finally get her on the phone she's rude and completely unhelpful. If you ask her to do something (i.e. make an appointment, fax your RX to the pharmacy, whatever) be prepared for it to take at least a week for it to get done and that's only if you call on a daily basis to follow up to make sure she's doing her job. I would have given more stars because Dr. Boudreau is nice and does spend a good amount of time with you but getting to her is a battle every time and my patience is wearing thin. Every time I've brought up her receptionist to her and explained how rude she was to me and how many times she's dragged her feet on important tasks, Dr. Boudreau jumps to her defense or completely ignores what I've said. I'm not sure what's going on between the two of them, but there has to be a reason she always jumps to her receptionist's defense. Not even an apology or anything... it's really weird. It's gotten to the point where I just don't find it worth it anymore to deal with Undrea for Dr. Boudreau's great care, so I'll be finding another doctor. Like most of the negative reviews on here, scheduling is a HUGE PITA. I had my first appointment booked a few weeks away and ended up needing to see the doctor prior to that appointment. I was given no options. You're telling me the doctor is so busy she doesn't have 10 minutes in the day to see a pateint? What's the point of having a doctor! Ok. This is the first time Ive ever written anything here. I just called the doctors office 1 minute ago and I encountered an extremely rude person answering the phone. She didn't tell me her name so I cant write it here but she didn't even ask me how I was or anything.. she didn't seem interested in me and it seemed like answering the phone was painful to her. I mentioned that I was calling as a first- time patient and immediately-with out hesitation and with a monotone voice- told me the next available appointment was in December. I think thats RIDICULOUS. I don't want to be disrespectful to the Doctor as I have not met her and from the previous reviews I think if I talked to her directly the conversation would have been different but unless this doctor is the best doctor in the UNIVERSE I don't understand why I have to wait four months to get an appointment. That being said, I am obviously choosing another gynecologist. Not only because Im not waiting 4 months for a FIRST TIME appointment, but because whoever answered her phone was SO rude I wouldn't even WANT to wait to go there and be treated like that in person. read more

Horrible experience. Tried pushing an IUD/Implanon on me for the entire visit despite me repeatedly saying I was happy with the pill and didn't feel comfortable using either of those methods - even lied about the pill's effectiveness and side effects of the IUD/Implant. Ended the visit by refusing to refill my pill prescription after the next few months unless I came in to get an IUD/Implant. Never again. read more

I have been a patient here for over 3 years and I love Dr. Boudreau. However I will no longer continue to see her based on her staff. Her receptionist is about the rudest person I have ever had to deal with in a doctor setting. She scheduled my appointment incorrectly even after I called a week earlier to verify my scheduled time. I called because she doesn't call you to confirm your appointment or give you any type of reminder. Even when you have to schedule an appointment about 2-3 months in advance to see the doctor. The next available appointment after my "missed" appointment today is in early July! When I asked her why they do not call to confirm (since obviously this wouldn't have been an issue if she called to confirm and I would be able to notice their discrepancy from what I had on my calendar) she said "I dont know we just dont". Obviously this is a vary important policy if there is no reason for it. Furthermore, when I came in for my visit this morning she was texting on her iPhone. So she is clearly too busy to call and confirm with patients. Dr. Boudreau is a great doctor - its a shame she doesn't have better staff to support her. read more

Dr. Boudreau is an excellent gynecologist, however administratively the office is very difficult to deal with. If you need to talk to dr. Boudreau by phone they will take a message, then the next day have a nurse (or nurse tech? Not really sure) call you back for more information, this nurse never seems to understand what I'm talking about, and then the next day Dr. Boudreau will call and you have to repeat the whole situation again, not really sure what the point of this fairly incompetent middle man is. Also, I had to suddenly move as my husband is in the military and I tried to call the office multiple times before I left and could never get Dr. Boudreau to figure out how to proceed with an ongoing medical issue, now having moved, they need to mail me a release, which I mail back, then they can mail me my records. No fax, no email, and the receptionist was not pleasant to deal with in this situation. Also, Dr. Boudreau was never on time, sometimes I waited over an hour past my appointment time. read more

Dr Boudreau is probably the best gynecologist I have ever dealt with. I knew she would be amazing when my PCPrecommended her (because my PCP is awesome!). She spend so much extra time with me on my first visit and really found all my health problems, making me feel like she did really care about what I wanted from my healthcare provider. I have been going to Dr Boudreau for many years and have always been very happy with the care that i received. She delivered my first child and in the middle of a vacuum birth and possible scary complications, she talked me through it, kept calm and delivered my girl safely. I was SO disappointed that she stopped doing obstetrics and literally had to be pushed out the door to see another doc for my 2nd pregnancy but have since gone back to her after my second daughter was born and don't plan to have any more children. It was honestly really nice to see her and catch up, that seems strange to say about a doctor, but it;'s the truth. I am totally comfortable with her and absolutely recommend her if you are looking for a gynecologist (hopefully someday in the future she'll practice obstetrics again). I have seen Dr. Boudreau for a few years now. She is always extremely thorough and makes me feel very comfortable with some rather uncomfortable exams. I have gone to her twice when something felt awry, and she was always very patient and able to help me. This Doctor is a good doctor. But the thing is it doesn't matter how good the doctor is. If you can't get past her ridiculously RUDE staff you can't even make an appointment to see her. I was very sick and was needing to go see my doctor immediately and her staff treated me like a child. And this was NOT the first time. Her name is Andrea` About the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I don't understand HOW and WHY such a great doctor has such a terrible staff. And might I add this was NOT just one incident. Even her assistant is rude. When the doctor asked her assistant to draw my blood she rolled her eyes!! WOW.. if you don't like your job quit. It's every time I go see my doctor or need to make an appointment. Its not worth going to this doctor. You will never get an appointment until she replaces her disgusting staff. And when you call and tell the staff what the issue is with your health they tell the doctor their own version of what is going on with you. LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Boudreau and her staff. She is extremely personable and knowledgeable and really works at keeping her patients happy and healthy. In the 2 times that I've been there for exams there have been a few medical issues that I've been on the fence about, and Dr. Boudreau really did a great job of giving me all the pertinent information that really helped push me in the right direction. I went in for a few office visits to get the cervical cancer vaccine (one of those "on the fence issues" that Dr. Boudreau convinced me was a good idea) and each time the nurse was so nice and personable and comforting, especially given my extreme fear of needles. The receptionist is fantastic about calling in prescriptions and getting you whatever info or medication you need. The only downside to this office is Dr. Boudreau's hours aren't the most convenient if you have a full-time job, but honestly, I'm ok with taking time off from work to get an appointment with her. read more

I went to Dr.Boudreau for about 9 years. I had two doctors before her and one after and they do not compare to her!! Her bedside manner is amazing as I get super anxious at my yearly appointments. She also takes time to answer all your questions and seems to actually care about your health. I regrettably left her office when I became pregnant to choose a doctor closer to my house when I moved. I was having such a horrible experience with my new doctor that I left a message with Dr. Boudreau's secretary and she told me that she would call me, and did later that day. She talked to me about my experiences over the 4 months of pregnancy and gave me advice and things to ask my doctor about since I was having issues with being Strep B positive. She talked to me for like 45 and was so kind and helpful she even tried to find a new doctor for me by searching the nearby hospitals websites to see if she knew anyone. She is an angel.
