Despite our efforts using air fresheners and moisture absorbers, the stench remained. Soon after moving in, a leak caused black mold to grow in the garage. While that issue was eventually addressed, it raised serious concerns about the condition and safety of the property. The outdoor areas are also unsafe--especially for families with young children. There were broken, shattered glass pieces in the front yard and roof soffit debris lying in the backyard. While the backyard has potential for small sports or family activities, it's not suitable as-is. It still requires major cleanup and repairs to be considered safe for children. The only saving grace at this property has been the maintenance team. They are professional, prompt, and genuinely helpful. Several of the workers even apologized for the state of the unit, admitting that the situation was mishandled and misrepresented. Please do not be ashamed of writing honest reviews about this townhouse or apartment complex. The owner of this property needs to hear what's really happening under the current management. Residents deserve transparency, cleanliness, and professionalism--and that's not what's happening here. So I'm renting a duplex for almost 1000$ a month plus I had to put down double deposits and water deposit to real estate company for a total of around 3 k and now that I'm moving upon lease end due to the terrible living conditions they are basically alum lords for owners who live in a northern state. One guy maintenance guy has universal key and will come in whenever he pleases even though they are supposed to notify 24 hours in advance which they never do for work either and they never even bother to fix what needs or show up for that matter. If you are thinking of renting 7401 New York Ave or 7335 beware of drug dealer who comes with the property at 7339 make sure u drive by at night to hear the noise complaints of loud music and partying at all hours you can see the drug deals going on. It's terrible and now that I want to leave I can't get a straight answer about my 3k in deposits!
