I have bought several tires from them and plan to look again later today. They are cheap, and the service is questionable. I had one that wasn't put on very tight, if I hadn't checked, it might have come off. Still if you know what your doing and looking for, they have a lot of tires that go round and round just fine. DO NOT COME HERE. SCAM. I wanted two tires replaced my first visit and it went well the guy let me pay with card even though they prefer cash and we had a verbal agreement/understanding that I could come back and get tires replaced if unsatisfactory. I come back he takes a look and keeps his word and replaced it but my dad also advised me to get the other two replaced so I went on ahead and did that. The tires looked fine when we left the place but by the next the side wall of one of the tires started bubbling up and that's obviously unacceptable. I take it back and there's two different guys working both younger. I'm there with my mother and my father who I don't go out with much anymore as I'm getting older. We get there I tell the guy the issue and I'm very respectful/professional as that's the relationship I've built up with the first guy I've had contact with. This guy, off the jump, before he even says "Hi, how can I help you folks?" says, "What y'all want?" I immediately knew he was a dirty sack of s***. I'm trying to explain to him what's wrong and he just kinda scoffs and looks at the tire and tries to tell me there's nothing wrong and that it's a good tire and that he DOESN'T WANT TO replace it (as if what HE wants really matters to me as a customer with MY car). My dad and I have to argue with this man to replace this tire which is their only policy! He goes around and grabs the worst tire he has and tries to get around to putting it on my car and my dad says H*** no. Of course my dad calls him out and the guy is literally laughing saying how it's not the worst tire and he's tired of us and we've only been there for 5 minutes but I guess since we showed up and he now has to actually fix a tire at a tire place we're the bad guys. My dad and I are arguing with this man to the point I'm ready to put hands on him because this is my car. He's waking around the shop (actually yelling at us) saying what he is and isn't going to do to my car and that got me hot because it's MY car. Don't walk around here telling me what's gonna happen to my vehicle when I've paid you money for a service that's not how anyone operates. Ridiculous. He even tries pointing to the oldest and most faded sign in the entire shop that you can barely read and it says "all tire sales are final" but that shouldn't matter because his boss told me I could get them replaced and I've already had tires replaced before. Of course that was BS because the other employee (he was great and did not join in on his coworkers cause that day) says to me that that sign is old as h*** and their boss has never once used that as policy. My dad and I are hot and on his ass because he was one of the most disrespectful pricks I've ever met. Even worse he eventually calls the boss guy I had dealt with and I'm thinking he'll say "what's wrong with you? give them a decent tire" but instead he instructs the guy to call law enforcement. They arrive and the three of us are talking to the officers telling them everything you've just read here and they were taken back by how this business is ran. I had all my receipts to show them with dates and how much I paid and they were wondering why it got to this point. That question was answered for them right after they got done talking the employee. The cops and us joked around for a little bit at his expense and there was nothing they could really do, I think he just called them because I was getting more aggressive every time he opened his mouth. Overall the service was so bad that I actually want to fight that guy mostly for yelling at my dad and a little for disrespecting me. Isn't that crazy? Service so bad that I want to fight the guy what a shame on their part. If I could give 0 stars I would. Just don't come here for any reason go somewhere else, please I'm begging you, don't do it to yourself. Yes it's cheap but you'll end up spending $160-$200 without getting anything fixed or possibly end up worse than before is what I got from other reviews. I have given Nico's Tires my business several times over the past couple of years. Besides the fact that most times when I come there it reeks of marijuana, my last visit was inexcusable. I pulled my car into the exit gate by mistake and Nico came out cursing at me throwing F bombs right and left. I asked him if this is the way that he treats his repeat customers? He had nothing to say and offered no apology. This was after I apologized for turning into the wrong gate. I definitely won't be giving them any business in the future, nor will I ever refer anyone to this "facility," if that's what you call it. read more

My 18 year old went here to replace 2 of his tires. He got blocks away after having them replaced and 1 of his tires almost fell off only 1 lugnut holding it on. They sent people out to fix it but they looked at it and said they couldn't fix it and told him that he needed to get it towed and fixed. After repeated phone calls and the owner dodging them. He denied knowing anything about it and so did the employees. No one knew who worked on the car and basically told us that they didn't do it and it was whoever took the tire off and back on however it was his employees who did it. So the whole ordeal costs us $250 because most likely they over tightened the lugnuts and stripped the studs. They refused to take care of it and were very ride on the phone. We will not be going back and recommending the family not to either. It'll save everyone a headache. read more

My daughter bought a tire there about a month ago an they told he the used tire they sold her only had 200 miles on it. The side wall blew out after she drove it for 100 miles. She returned to see if they would help and they told her tough luck. it looks like their running a scam. Thanks for taking advantage of someone. read more

Didn't fix it right the first time and made me pay AGAIN for what they did wrong. How do you put a rim on a tire then put the tire on the car without sealing the rim or checking for leaks? Then when it goes flat in 2 days, tell me I didn't ask them to seal it, I only asked for the rim to put on. Seriously? Not very professional in my opinion. read more

My friends and I were driving from a suburb town of Chicago to attend a class in Rock Island, IL, and we happen to get a flat tire on the way.. It was about a 2 hour drive and we needed a new tire to drive back home on. Nico Grocery and Tire shop was very reasonable with the price range for a new tire and really quick to put it on.
