The play area is completely enclosed and well padded, great for small toddlers. Every Spring/Summer they host free knowledge nights on Wed and Fri from 6-7p in the air conditioned museum area. A cute gift shop is open off and on inside as well.

There are 2 main rooms and then you exit through the gift shop. We spent probably an hour in there watching all of the movies and installations. There was a timed lighting performance where the carousels and things would move. Along with the music that was pumped throughout, made you feel the magic of it all. We paid for the general admission as we didn't need to pay for the extra stuff which was within the show but they had attendants at the entrances but you can clearly see what was inside. So if you need to take a selfie inside, by all means you should pay the extra money. I too thought it should have been included in the price. If you think of all of the effort to shipping it to Los Angeles, Unpacking and assembling it all, its a small price to pay for being able to experience it as close to what it was back when it was first presented. If you're expecting the LA County Fair then, nope, Luna Luna is not for you. This is a see but not touch carnival midway experience without the cotton candy and funnel dogs. This is seeing art heavyweights from the 1980s who lent their visual talents to various carnival rides, the highlights being a Basquiat ferris wheel and a Scharf merry-go-round. This all takes place in a black-walled building that adds drama and excitement with timed repetitions of light and sound. It's about as fun and unique as an art experience gets. If LACMA had the room, Luna Luna would have the ideal permanent home there. Regardless, only LA could have brought this German assemblage to life for the 21st century. Thanks, LA!

A huge shoutout to the incredible instructors. Alex led the hike with confidence and kept everyone's spirits high. Henry made sure the entire group stayed together, accounted for, and felt supported the whole way. Dylan got to the bridge ahead of everyone to have everything set up and ready, making the whole experience run smoothly. All three had amazing attitudes and went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable, safe, and excited. The hike itself was beautiful, with incredible streams and breathtaking views. It was a bit challenging because of the fast pace, but if you take your time and start early in the morning, it's absolutely worth it. The jump was unforgettable, but what really made this experience special was the team. Their professionalism, encouragement, and positive energy turned something intimidating into one of the most exciting and inspiring things I've ever done. I can't wait to come back and do it again especially because of how fantastic these instructors were. Highly recommend!

This park felt like a comfortable adventure. Did I feel safe? Yes. I primarily saw groups upon groups of families. Many were holding celebrations and gatherings. The location felt clean & well-maintained, and it's one of the few parks that had security cameras from up above. What utilities? There's a large, fun playground area. It has nets to climb, a plastic rock wall, and plenty of slides. There's a park exercising machine area nestled by the playground, and there's a basketball hoop. There's also a volleyball area, baseball field, and concrete cornhole boards for tossed beanbags. There's a restroom, dog waste plastic bag station, water fountains, and many public picnic tables for gatherings. I especially liked how these concrete tables had cover and an installed grill station. What are the negatives? There's no clear walking trail. However, visitors can wander freely since there's a spiderweb of concrete pathways. It also lacks multiple basketball courts, tennis courts, or other familiar areas. Overall, Irwindale Park is scenic, beautiful, and clean. It's a wonderful destination for a family to lounge and relax. The area is well-maintained, and I felt happy as I observed an Irwindale Squirrel pose in front of me for the camera. I enjoyed my visit. 4.7 out of 5
