This "business" is absolutely DISGUSTING and UNPROFESSIONAL. I had a very disappointing experience with Bungee America. I had a scheduled bungee jump but arrived with my dog. The staff initially told me that because the river rapids were strong, I could reschedule. When I explained that I already knew the trail and was comfortable hiking it with my dog, they told me it was fine for me to hike and jump on my own, just not with the group. I agreed to those terms. However, when my brother became afraid to cross the river rapids, we had to turn back. I then called the company to try to reschedule my jump. Unfortunately, the person I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude and disrespectful. While I was trying to explain the situation, he repeatedly interrupted me and told me to "stop talking" and "let me speak." He also asked strange and unrelated questions like "how many heartbeats were with you" and "how many souls," which felt very unprofessional and made the conversation uncomfortable since it did not relate to what I was trying to achieve (which was for me to reschedule). He overall tried to make me feel stupid for no apparent reason. He was trying very hard to act tough on the phone call, which I wish he would've done in person. (Doubt he would have, he was all bark on the phone) At one point during the conversation he hung up on me. When I tried calling back from my phone number, he would not answer my calls, and I had to call again from a different phone just to reach someone. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when my boyfriend called back afterward to speak with the same person, he was treated respectfully and the conversation was completely different. Based on that experience, it unfortunately felt like I was treated with far less respect as a woman than my boyfriend was. He most likely thought he could walk all over me as a female. (Again he probably wouldn't have done that in person) I understand that policies and scheduling issues can happen, but there is no reason for a customer to be treated this way. The lack of professionalism and respect during this interaction left a very negative impression of this company. DO BETTER!! read more

What an amazing experience that was! First of all Alex and Dillon were great instructors very helpful and supportive, and also very funny guys. The 10 mile hike has incredible scenery and walking through the river was so refreshing. They weren't lying about the suggestion to dunking your head in the water would only make the hike back better because with the sun right over you it can get pretty hot. What a work out! The jump at the bridge was unforgettable to say the least. Checked off my bucket list. What an amazing experience to jump off a 120ft bridge. Was an amazing experience from the start of the hike all the way to Bridge of Nowhere. We had amazing guides (Alex, and Chris) they seem laid back the whole way up and kept the group motivated. We took breaks along the way and crossed multiple rivers so definitely need the proper footwear to keep up. When we arrived at the bridge The instructors (Dylan, Alex, and Henry) did an amazing job with motivating the group to overcome our fears by jumping off of the bridge. We ended up doing the campout and did 2 jumps which were amazing! and I would definitely recommend doing with a group because its just an great experience. I had an absolutely mesmerizing experience; it was not planned which made it even more magical. I arrived at the top and saw how ecstatic everyone was to be jumping off a bridge and said, "OH I have to do that". The instructors were super easy on the eyes and knowledgeable, so it was easy to learn and feel safe. The most beautiful hike through the canyon leading to the Bridge to Nowhere, guided by the coolest dudes Alex and Chris, they kept the vibes high. Rugged terrain and multiple river crossings, sturdy and comfortable footwear is a MUST and probably want to be in decent shape to be honest, we cruised through this canyon at a solid pace with a few breaks to chill, eat snacks, and at one point dunk in the river, highly recommend. I would have never envisioned myself bungee jumping...I've been wanting to get into backpacking and when a friend asked if I wanted to join her on this "Bungee Campout" I couldn't pass it up, this company provides tents, sleeping pads and a grill to cook dinner on for those who purchase the campout package, which made this experience solid. The instructors did a wonderful job creating an environment where fear wasn't something to avoid but something to face head-on. They encouraged all of us to confront this fear that we all carry in life and take control of it for a moment, to "put it in a choke hold" as they'd say. Standing on the platform is terrifying, but with the support and hype of everyone there, it was beautiful jumping off that bridge. What should have been a special and memorable experience turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. From the very beginning, one staff member -- who we later found out was actually the owner -- was shockingly rude. He made inappropriate comments about my weight, saying I looked like I weighed more than I did. After I felt sick from the long hike and was lying down for a moment, he said, "Are you going to suck it up, princess?" Completely unprofessional and unnecessary. When I needed to use the restroom, I had to repeatedly ask because he was "preoccupied." Then, in front of the entire group, he loudly asked, "Do you need to go #1 or #2?" It was bizarre and humiliating. At that point, I honestly didn't even want to jump anymore. It was my birthday, I was there with my family, and I had been so excited. My little brother encouraged me to still do it. We were told we were next in line, but then we were forgotten while others went ahead. My brother was sent before me, and then I was told I was in a different weight category and would have to wait much longer. To make matters worse, the scale they used appeared inaccurate -- I weighed myself immediately afterward and it showed I was 10 pounds lighter than what their scale read. We had already been waiting over 2.5 hours. When my boyfriend politely asked how much longer it would be, he was yelled at. He was told to "come closer to chat easier," and then immediately scolded for stepping over a red line. It felt confrontational and confusing. In the end, I didn't even jump. When I asked for his name, he said, "Scott -- and sorry our personalities weren't compatible." A staff member later informed us his name was actually Ron Jones, and that he owns the company. The hike itself was absolutely beautiful, and I'm grateful I still got to spend time with my family. But the way this company is run-- and the way we were treated -- was incredibly disappointing. I've done the Bungee America experience twice now and start to finish--both times--it's been the best day ever. Beautiful hike with incredible views leading to a hang on the Bridge to Nowhere, followed by a thorough but entertaining "jump school" session where the team tells you everything you need to know and then it's just jumps and fun for the rest of the day. And then you get a beautiful hike back? Come onnn tell what could be better? Alex, Dylan, and Chris make the day fun, easy, and safe. My cousin Ali and I both opted for two jumps which we feel is the best choice to start with cause you can try a forward and back jump which are like two completely different experiences. This was my first time and every moment was wonderful. Before I made reservations, we called in and got all the answers we were looking for. Scheduling it online was easy as well. My favorite part besides the jump was the guys that made it all possible. They were nice, funny, informational and even motivational. The Bungee part was fine. But if you're not physically capable to keep up with the group, the staff will NOT wait for you. My wife got lost and ended up in a dangerous situation. The hike starts promptly at 7am. The hike is not for beginners and is maintained at a fast pace. We were greeted by a quirky hipster named Alex who lead us five miles to the bridge in crocs! During the hike, you cross the river 6 times so it's best to bring comfortable hiking shoes. I wore barefoot toe shoes, and although it made the river crossings easier it was more difficult to hike over the sharp rocks. The hike is about two hours up and two hours down. Once you arrive to the bridge, you eat lunch and are briefed by a beefy mountain man named Dylan. Dylan and Alex were both hilarious and informative in their safety demonstration. I chose to jump twice: one forward five and one backwards dive. I would recommend as it was extremely fun, challenging and rewarding. After you complete your jumps, you can start your trek back to the parking lot. I would recommend arriving on time, comfortable shoes/hiking boots/water shoes, a change of socks, plenty of water, snacks, a lunch, sunblock, a hat, comfortable pants, a backpack, sunglasses, and a positive attitude! The hike back is faster but you do not have a guide. Make sure you remember the trail and follow the arrows! read more

Parking situation 3 Stars Hiking adventure 5 Stars READ BEFORE YOUR JOURNEY: Make sure you have Adventure America or America the Beautiful parking permit ready, especially if you plan to start before dawn. There isn't a place to purchase on the way. Parking was difficult to find as we arrived around 7:30 am as there were around 20 or fewer parking spaces in the lot. We tried street parking below the lot, and a Highway Patrol warned us that the vehicles would be TOWED for illegal parking. It's wild because there were so many cars parked on the side. It could have been a field day for the towing company. When we finally waited for a parking space, we had to ask the person that's ready to leave if we could purchase their pass. This adventure was MODERATELY DIFFICULT while requiring perseverance. The total distance is about 9.6 miles. There are no shades for the majority of your trip. Make sure to STAY HYDRATED. You will get WET and up to your hips while crossing the creeks. There were about six to seven creeks that we passed on our trail. You will feel the current pushing against you. Specific paths have ropes that you can hold onto while crossing. There is a steady elevation incline for the second half of the hike. At the edge of the bridge, we saw a group lined up to bungee jump. The cost is around $120, and I think you get two jumps. That was a hard pass for me. The view of the bridge was refreshing to behold. While I couldn't believe the bridge was built during the 1930s, I can't imagine how it would have turned out if the construction of the road had been complete. That would have led to the devastation of the mountain by ridding the trees and other natural resources and carving the mountain for vehicles to pass. read more

Absolutely the best place for a first bungee experience. I have bungee jumped before, but it was the first time for my 12-year-old and 14-year-old. I will definitely return. The instructions they emailed after I purchased tickets gave me everything I needed. Very well thought out. On the day of the jump we took a beautiful drive into the mountains and arrived early. At first the staff seemed low key and all business, so I was a little skeptical. Then Alex led an orientation before the five-mile hike, and it was obvious they put safety first and know exactly how to lead the whole day for maximum enjoyment for everyone. They are serious when necessary, excellent guides all day, and hyper-focused on making the full experience top-level. The hike alone was almost worth it. Beautiful scenery. My boys and I loved it. At the Bridge to Nowhere, Alex gave a pre-jump tutorial that erased any doubt about their expertise and safety focus. Then Dillen shared a short talk that rivaled any inspirational speech I have heard. They understand how mind-blowing and fun bungee is, and also how powerful it can be for someone who needs to get out of a life funk. Their focus on safety is top level. They have a 100% safety record. They have also perfected how to get people in the right headspace and walk everyone through the mental barriers so you actually jump. After my 12-year-old backed out a couple times, Alex and Chris were expert, empathetic, and strong. They got him pumped up, used a few simple protocols, and helped him overcome his fears. It has been over a month, my 12-year-old wrote a speech about the experience, and we still talk about it regularly. I wondered if a waist harness would be less fun than an ankle harness. It wasn't. No drawbacks at all. They even allow front flips, back flips, and other variations after a little how-to coaching. As a bonus, someone in our group got on one knee and proposed to his fiancée. I can see why he chose that spot. Everything felt magical. I cannot say enough. These folks are top-level pros who have thought about every step and care deeply about helping each person have a meaningful, fun experience. It is an absolute bargain for what you get. If you are reading reviews and wondering if you should do it, let this be the sign. Pull the trigger and know you are about to make a memory you will cherish for the rest of your life. Probably best to wear long pants and long sleeve shirt. Plenty of thorny plants that will scruff you up pretty bad. There are two gates. Head to the main large gate towards the mountain side. That is the trail head after you park. No clear signs. Restrooms are pretty bad. Plenty of bugs inside. Ladies probably better off looking for a bush but make sure there are no rattle snakes. Getting to the bridge is about 4.5-5 miles depending on any extra trek you're making. I suggest to download the All trails map prior to getting in. Help navigate you through but if you do get lost. Majority of the hike in will be on the east bank of the river which your right and when heading out the left. Water as of last week of June is about waste hide depending how tall you are. Kids will have a hard time and probably best if they know how to swim. After crossing a few streams you'll head up a bit back down to the flat lands for about a two miles and head up again towards the bridge. If you look carefully you'll see blue arrows on rocks to point you towards the bridge and if you're heading out it will be red arrows. As for the ropes keep your eyes peel to the trees or you'll miss a few ropes. Best angle of the bridge probably head down at the bottom of the bridge and you can even take a dip read more

I have been bungee jumping 3 times in the last few months with Bungee America and each time has been a great experience. I've done the hike on my own before so I was somewhat familiar with the conditions and what to take (food/water/sunscreen). Hiking with the instructors was a different experience because it was faster than I was used to (as I strolled before) but it was really cool to see I was able to keep up and felt pretty proud that it was a doable pace. Each time I've gone, the instructors tell you all you need to know to be successful on the hike there and back, stop to check in on the group many times throughout the hike, and are also pretty funny. you will get wet, so be prepared for that, you cross the river 6 times and if its hot, its in your best interest to take a dip as well (don't worry you dry off really fast). Once you get to the bridge you get jump school along with a pretty motivational speech which puts you in a headspace to really just make the most of your time there. Each time I've gone I've made 4 jumps and I've seen a huge difference in how I interact with fear both in my regular life and when I'm back on the bridge. It sounds cheesy but this experience did change my life. Its not about getting over the fear, its about doing it in spite of it. Alex and Dylan have been the 2 instructors that have been there when I've gone and they make the experience so much better with their sense of humor, support, silliness, and overall dynamic. This was an amazing experience and I recommend it to everyone I know. I'm not an experienced hiker or anything, but I still made it up there . I was rewarded with a view unlike any others. You cross a river 6 times, and it can be pretty intense; water can get up to your waist! It's about a 2 hour hike there if you're walking quickly, and it was like 3 hours back. The guides are very fast paced, so try your best to keep up the whole time! Our guides were awesome and very reassuring. I've been skydiving and this is a completely different experience. They have an excellent track record so I was never worried. Bring a nice lunch with you and make sure to wear comfortable shoes that can get wet! And make sure to wear clothes that can get wet, they offer several opportunities to submerge yourself in the river, cool off your core temperature. TLDR: hike is gorgeous, and pretty difficult. bungee is super fun, life changing possibly. hike back is more difficult, especially since you go back alone (without the guide) if you want to leave early! I'll be coming back :) this experience is an ALL DAY experience btw, so just clear the day. read more

I used to looove them, I jumped several times before about 4-5 years ago. I recommended it to everyone saying that it's experience that will change your life'. This time I wanted to feel free again and invited friends to join. We arrived very excited. I explained that hike could be difficult but it'd be nice to connect with nature. Our instructors (Alex and Chris) checked us in. In 30 minutes greeting started. Alex joked about white people having some issues during hike and pointed out at me then followed with some jokes about Russians (I am from Russia). We felt very uncomfortable about it but we decided everybody has different sense of humor. The hike itself was terrible, instructors rushed and walked very very fast without much checking how everyone was doing, many of us had to run to keep up, otherwise we'd get lost. Nothing to compare how it was before. Inappropriate jokes were on all the way, you are not that superior, trust me. At that moment I missed old instructors. We reached the bridge. We were explained that we'd jump in our weight group that I was already aware of. What became very annoying that about 10 people outside of our group joined and postponed our turn to jump. We were waiting 4 hours for our turn, to be clear it was about 5-6 people in our weight category that would make sense if we jumped first. By the time it was my turn to jump, I didn't feel any excitement and willing to do so. I couldn't jump at first time because I felt worse to do different noises and waved at cameras that doesn't suit my personality at all. I couldn't focus. When I took a breath to refocus I was pretty much pressed to jump. No emotional support after the jump after. They just rated how well we jumped and commented it if it was bad. Then of course they asked for tips. Last time with different instructors I enjoyed every moment of the experience. This time it was a Hell from the beginning to the end. First of all, Ron, I'm not sure when you finally updated your website to give the correct information, but it was not there prior to our hiking/bungee jumping experience. I went to double check when we got back from that nightmare of a day to make sure I hadn't missed something. Nor was she aware of the fact that we'd be heading into a closed park - she actually apologized to me. And for reference about how bad it is, it's supposed to be closed until at least December 31, 2025. I'd love to see the photos you say you took last weekend - I wish I had taken photos on the hike to include with this review. The part about my dog wasn't known by you guys until it was getting dark, so don't try to tell me that you recommended we reschedule and that I chose to proceed. Absolute bs. That was literally never mentioned at the start of the day. You're making a lot of info up in your response. The idea that you're trying to tell me this was perfectly safe is insane. There was a hiker who twisted his ankle and your guys were nowhere around when we found him icing his leg in the cold water. And when I hear an "all day adventure," as most people, I assume I'll be back to my car before dark. One of your guys let me know that you were getting complaints like mine every time you went out recently since the time change. So clearly I'm not the only person who didn't know or that found it to be unsafe. Had I seen any of the info that is now on your website, I would never have made the trip. I did my due diligence. Amazing experience from start to finish! We went as a family for my husbands birthday, and it started with a 5 mile beautiful hike to the Bridge to Nowhere. Once we got there, we had a very informative safety and what to expect class. Alex and Ron made the whole experience so fun for all! Love the encouragement they gave to each of the jumpers! This review is long overdue. We visited in June. It was fun and refreshing to walk in the river. This trail has a moderate level of difficulty. At some point the river got too fast and deep for us to cross, so we did not make it to the bridge itself and had to return. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed our experience. The water is clean and cool, but at the time we visited there was a lot of trash around with overflowing bins. Tips: Walking poles are really helpful specially for seniors. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a change of clothes. Go early, go during the week, and wear mosquito repellent. Also, make sure to buy your Wilderness pass a couple of days before as you might not be able to find any early morning. Being your food and plenty of water. There are picnic tables at the beginning of the trail. Enjoy! read more

Great hike, not too strenuous. Alltrails consider this moderate. There are multiple river crossings, and you will have to cross the river at certain points just based on the geology of the landscape. Some of the path that used to be there is no longer there due to rain, erosion, etc. Pros + there are some arrows that help with direction (graffiti on the rocks/trees + peaceful + water is clean for the most part + depending on the time of day, there is shade. Lots of trees, Cons - parking can be a issue depending on the time of day. Most people come for the day. Very limited parking. - there is a lot of people during the weekend, and you may get stuck behind some while hiking - it doesn't seem that the area is well kept at all. Based on the graffiti and amount of homeless encampment/people living off the grid Tips - start early as you can. - bring plenty of water and snacks, even lunch! - hiking poles are your friends! Or else find a stick to help you along the way. - download the map, because the trail is not well defined - observe the arrows going in and exiting!
