It goes back to late 1930 when local members of the newly organized Plant City Lions club has the idea of an event to celebrate the bountiful harvest of strawberries and boy am I glad they did ! There is strawberry everything at this fair - from popcorn to strawberry shortcakes , ice cream , donuts and even fresh picked strawberries for purchase to take home ! There are a ton of rides, food vendors , Local vendors and live animals for all ages to enjoy! I loved the pig races and eating all the delicious fairy food . I really wanted a pair of red cowboy boots ( yes they have retail vendors on site ) but left without them darn it . Parking is not so fun as there is no designated lot so you have to find a lot to park in and ranges from $10-30. This was my 3rd time coming and I will definitely come back with the family and friends to enjoy fun moments .

They only grow muscadine grapes on the property and import other grapes from California and elsewhere. They have a selection of drier wines all the way to the sweet fruit wines. They also offer wine sorbets. My husband and I each got a wine flight of 4 wines for $18. I forgot how big the pours were but they were a decent size. They also offer wine tasting experience of 6 wines, smaller pours, that lasts 45 minutes. They have a small section of food. We got the pimento cheese and crackers, the cheese was delicious. My favorite though was the blueberry shortcake. It was soft and the blueberry compote was absolutely delicious. Although it was rich, it didn't feel heavy. I wish I had gotten another slice. The parking was ample and very organized. Not as huge as the Fl State Fairgrounds, but plenty big enough. What I will say was better was the management of parking. The parking attendants were quicker than Disney parks and more organized lol. Entrance was pretty quick with tickets already. The facilities weren't horrible unless you looked up at the ton of cobwebs (yuck!). The benched arena was like a typical high school one but maybe bigger, thus the rodeo we attended. Over all, I would keep coming to events here no problem. Also, there was no extra charge for parking but not sure if that's typical of this fairground or not.
