FRESH SALMON SUSHI. This is Nigi Nigi's selling point. They have signs plastered on the outer walls that address the freshness of their salmon in great detail. They get their fish daily, and don't dare freeze them. They scale, debone and fillet the salmon each day. You know, I'm not usually one to fall for advertising ploys like this one, but after trying a salmon sushi roll, I have to acquiesce, maybe it's not a ploy, but just the simple truth. The rolls are plump, and that salmon pink just screams 'fresh' to you. If you're dining in, get into the Onigiri. Take note of the cute stories on the walls about how Japanese mothers teach their children about Onigiri. Eat AND learn something about culture. Win! I'm personally a fan of the kaarage don. It isn't the best I've had, but it certainly isn't the worst. It's better than the myriad of other cheap Japanese stores in the city. Next time you're in the city, go and have lunch at Nigi Nigi. It's in that awkward part of Anzac Square, right near the train station, but I tell you, it's worth it- just for the salmon.

I'd avoided going here for ages because it seemed so busy and open with all the people coming out of Central station. My cousin wanted Japanese curry and picked this spot. Well color me surprised. We sat in the corner window seat facing out to Adelaide Street and it was very pleasant indeed. She reported that her curry was quite satisfying. I had two sushi rolls made on brown rice which were quite good (though the salmon was a little tough to bite through, must have been the cut). The salmon was indeed fresh as they advertise. I can say it was charming and petite as a dining in adventure.

Most recently ordered tacos, nachos and chicken bowl (+guac and extra chicken). Got neither paid for extra ingredients, no guac or cheese on the nachos making it inedible, and the tacos had minimal filling as well. Whole meal was awful. Requested a refund and was only given $20 in "Gomex rewards" and was told that "aligned with the guidelines and standards of Guzman y Gomez". Dont eat here.

Before Guzman Y Gomez, the only Mexican that I have ever had (and I am literally kicking myself while writing this!) is Taco Truck, which is actually quite awesome... Anyway, as soon as I walked past Guzman Y Gomez, my mind was made up. I had to have lunch there. I was sort of excited about it actually. So we walked in a queued and all of a sudden it came to me - Hang on.. Mexican Food is spicy, right? Oh oh.. Kevin and Spicy DO NOT mix!.. Turn around and walk away mate.. before it's too late.. Non non.. I want Mexican.. I'm gonna be ok! So I got to the line and was greeted with a warm Hola by the waitress.. Awesome.. I went for the Chicken Guerrero Burrito (You promise it's not spicy yeah?!), which got to me pretty quickly and it was brilliant! - Love it! Love it! Love it! I also had a mandarin Jarrito - I don't know but I just thought it felt Mexican... I had to return and try the Barramundi Burrito before I left Brissie and so I did.. Ay, Caramba!!! Loved it again.. & of course I had another Jarrito because.. well you know why..

I ordered the cheeseburger and fries, so nothing crazy, but I'm not going to lie, they make a ridiculously good smash burger. The service is great as well, and I know my food was all cooked to order because it tasted fresh and was served piping hot! If you're in a hurry and looking for something that tastes great and is ready super fast, make it a point to stop by Jee's! Two thumbs and two toes way up for Jee's! Happy eating, my foodies!

I'd been walking by this place for a week now and finally decided to go in. I asked the girl at the…read moreregister if they could give me a bunless option, to which she said yes. I suppose I should've been a little clearer as I'd wanted a lettuce wrap. Not a huge deal as they had plastic ware on site. I chose the bacon burger with two patties. The burgers were very juicy and grilled to perfection. The bacon could have been more crispy, but not a deal breaker. I chose the chipotle mayo which was tasty and paired well with the fries. The fries were crispy and had a flavorful seasoning on them. To round it out, I got a peanutbutter milkshake at the suggestion of the cashier; she said they were delicious. She was not wrong. The shake was awesome! The restaurant is fairly small and there's not much to talk about other than the cool wallpaper and weekly top 20 beats pumping through the stereo. Great place to get a burger and hang out.
