Great Nike outlet store with reasonable factory prices and great clearance sales too. The store looks great and is fun to browse, and I found a great workout too marked down to £5.50! read more

I very rarely leave the house with them on, but as soon as I get in from work, more often than not, I fire on a nice pair of Umbros, and doss down on my bed. Being set in EH12, Brandshop isn't half as neddy as most sports store, and stocks trainers, t-shirts and all the type of sporting goods that don't really require being into sport to wear. I might actually snap up a pair of Nike trackies one day, as they'll be (very) marginally more socially acceptable to be seen with in public.

They sell a huge selection of all types of sport clothes, I was very impressed by the massive selection of multi colored converse. You could have one pair for every day on the calendar. This place sells alot of stuff that will no doubt please your little cousins and it's not really that much more expensive than JJB.

With its move it has become a bit more specialised in kits for teams (if you want a team kit this is the place to go) and has gone a bit more up market, but I'll give a review of how it was and if anything is no more it should be updated. For those fed up with Sports Direct and in need of some expert guidance this may be a more helpful place to visit. It does cover more high end goods here (boots start at about £40), but these are the higher quality boots. In general the stock is reasonably priced, but held back a bit by a lack of range. However, if you tell the staff what you need you're likely to walk out with it after not very long due to the superior knowledge of these staff. Admittedly, I get my boot from Sports Direct, but if its good service you are after you must come here.

Only one brand is available here - Planet X. The offering for females is absolutely dismal. There was one female-cut merino racing jersey. That' it. The shop is over two floors for goodness sake!

In sale time they're not exactly bad, but they are reasonable prices and really what you would expect to pay outside of the sale times with a few items being the exceptions and being very good deals. Outside of sale times there isn't particularly much reason to come here. I know sports direct doesn't offer the same quality of service, but it really is worth the cheaper prices to sacrifice the quality and when it comes to price this shop fails badly compared to Sports Direct. Don't get me wrong this place isn't bad value it's just that there is a lot cheaper just down the road.

I was approached for help twice. Staff was friendly and not overbearing. In the states the sales racks are called out clearly but here you need to dig through the items to locate the sale. Kinda embarrassing as I felt like a damn squirrel digging for bits and nuts. This is important to me as the exchange rate isn't in the USA favor so I would prefer to pay a sales price which equates to regular after the exchange--- ya dig? Anyhow I was informed sales differ store to store. This peeved me a bit as the jacket I had spied online for a good discount of 40% was still in the store for full price. Doesn't equate in my brain. They don't honor online prices, either. Overall good experience and glad to be informed on how pricing works. Guess I will order the jacket online this evening without dealing with exchange rate, free shipping, at a great discount and from the comfort of my snuggly hotel bed.
