Literally there's a queen bed and one person walking space on either side of the bed. No storage space nor closet. One sitting chair. Tiny bathroom and shower. Felt like an RV more so than a motel room....too cramped. $165/night....mehhhh. Location is great for dip netting. The check in guy was so lack luster. He didn't exhibit the type of hospitality I felt characteristic of places that charge that much for a closet space. Staff did respond quickly to requests and check out guy was warmer than the initial guy. They have some $250/night cabins shoved onto the parking lot and tightly packed RV lot. I guess I'd say...bravo on maximizing every square inch to make $$$! I would definitely look for a more spacious spot next time I'm in the area. I like to be able to stretch my arms and legs without hitting a wall.

There is a bathroom, small fridge and queen bed. The views are amazing. It may be less crowded because dip net season just ended a few days ago but we didn't feel overcrowded. I don't know why everyone is complaining, it lists what you get for the price online. The owners are the quiet type but were very accommodating. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star hotel but it was 5 stars in that it offered what it advertised, was clean and comfortable. It seems like most of the complaints are from the RV park users. If you're a mature adult and enjoy a quiet camp with a beautiful view I think you'd be happy here. It's not a 20's something party spot.

This is my peace and serenity hang out even if for a few minutes break during my semi regular bike ride while visiting the city of Kenai. it is never crowded and I am always alone for the half a dozen times or so that I have visited. Beautiful view of the mouth of the world famous Kenai River as it drains into the Cook Inlet of the Pacific Ocean. I have not come in July but came here in September and October but know it would be madness during the heavy sockeye run especially when they open it up for dip netting. Now that would be a great show! Worth a visit!

The scenery and wildlife were an added bonus. The entire staff was wonderful. We had daily housekeeping service, continental breakfast every day (or you can cook your own with their supplied groceries), and complete fish processing. Each day our catch was processed into portion sizes, vacuum packed, and into the deep freezer. When we were getting ready to leave, our fish was packed into insulated boxes to check as luggage on the plane. We just wish we had done this 30 years ago! Cute little aging park that is likely only frequented by locals. There's picnic tables, fire…read morerings, pit toilets and a picnic pavilion. There's a short easy trail around part of the small lake (part of the lake has private homes.) Mosquitos are monstrous, the stocked trout clearly have plenty to eat. Bring bug spray! There's no boat launch, but the walk from the free parking to the shore is about .2 miles down hill, so you could easily carry a lightweight kayak if you're inclined. Its very serene here and there's lots of nature trees. This location is best enjoyed by small motorless watercraft.
