After spending some time at the playground, we took a stroll near the water. The views here are gorgeous! Our walk was nice, enjoyable, and relaxing. Record breaking Salmon in Kenia and Kasilof rivers. Brian (guide) was the best guide I have every had the pleasure of meeting (safe, knowledgeable and new exactly where the fish were) We limited out three different days (first day 90 min, second day under 60 min, third day 120 min). Eagle Head Lodge was also amazing, clean lots of space to fish the river from the docks, Jerry (host) super helpful with everything we needed. Rooms were clean and well stock with everything you will need for a great vacation\fishing trip. Fly out trip was amazing, not many fish but the location was amazing. Also lots of Bear watching from the boat. Safe float plane flights with a pass over the glaciers, great photos. Jessica, is a scheduling wizard. She make sure everything is taken care of perfectly. Super helpful. Only things we will not book again was the Salt Trip. There may be better options in the area for more professional staff. All around amazing trip, hopefully we will be back up in Alaska in 2027

Russell Fishing Company and Eagle Head Resort (immaculately maintained) are a great combination…read more Eagle Head, owned by Jerry Johnson, provided waterproof gear, waders, ice, lunch coolers and much hospitality. Both did a Fantastic job of satisfying our every need on our recent trip to Alaska. On the Kasilof River, we caught our limit each time of beautiful, large Coho Salmon (silver Salmon) with the guides Mike and Pops. We fished the Kenai River with Brian one afternoon and did very well also. Jessica did a great job communicating with and serving us! Sometimes, the weather can change your schedule but, she was very flexible accommodating our wishes. We also fished out of Homer on two occasions with Badger at the helm and reeling faster than anyone I've ever seen. He worked amazingly hard with his first mate, Mike. We caught Halibut, Yellow-eye Red Snappers, Black Cod and a Huge Ling Cod! We threw back many small Halibut but came away with some nice 20-30 pounders. All in all, we brought home 104 pounds of filets. Enough to last us for two years (LOL)! This was our second trip with Russell Fishing and Eagle Head. Both were the very best!! We did notice that our fishing results seemed to be better than other boats. I have to give full credit to the Top-Notch guides we had. SOCKEYE Fishing With Fishology and Adam…read more Another home run with Fishology. We had so many questions and every one went out of their way to set us up for success. Communication is simply top notch. Highly responsive, quick to tackle anything that may come up. Mark matched us perfectly with Adam and Alicia made sure that we knew where we had to be and how to connect with Adam. Adam is a phenomenal guide. He understood that this was a big day for my wife, her first SOCKEYE fishing experience. We found our spot in a few minutes and quickly learned to the fine art of "flossing". 60 minutes later we had bagged out, three beautiful SOCKEYE each. Heading home for a large Fish Smoke with friends and family. If you are targeting TROUT or SOCKEYE, ask for Adam. He knows the environment intimately, was absolutely superb when it came to working with my wife and had her casting like a 40 year veteran in literally, no time at all. I love his coaching style and how super supportive he continued to be, through our whole fishing trip. On top of that, Adam is one of those fun people you would like too just hangout with. Great communicator, very funny, very easy to get along with. His boat is super clean and very well presented. KING SALMON Fishing With Fishology and Chase We were scheduled to to go Halibut fishing. The weather turned and that was the end of that. Mark and Alicia jumped into high gear and got us booked with Chase for a KING SALMON guided experience. We had so many questions and every one went out of their way to set us up for success. Communication is always top notch with this crew. Highly responsive, quick to tackle anything that may come up. Casey is one of the hardest working guides I have ever met. He pushed us into the best fishing holes and worked the ores to capitalize on the best spots, in the best holes. He constantly rowed, tended lines, swapped out fresh bait, coached and taught us all about the Kasiloff river and their residents, the gorgeous KING SALMON. The KINGS are diminishing at an alarming rate and all the guides work very hard to preserve these fine fish for generations to come. We caught 3 nice KINGS and two HUGE SOCKEYES. Whatever we were not allowed keep, Chase made sure went back to the river with as little handling and as much care as possible. It makes me so happy to know that there are people like Chase out there, providing incredible experiences yet working that hard to preserve these experiences for future generations. KING SALMON Fishing is a great adventure and I highly, highly recommend the Chase Guided King Salmon adventure. Simply outstanding. Another flawless event presented by Mark, Alicia and Chase. As an avid fly fisherman, I deeply respected how Aaron handled the fish and was careful to return them to the water unharmed. He explained to us how the fishery is protected and kept us off the spawning beds. This in no way meant any less fun or smaller fish. Each of these guys were professional, courteous, and friendly--they went above and beyond to ensure we had the "opportunity and position" to catch some giant halibuts. While the waters were choppy and the big ones weren't biting--Cooper repositioned us and boom! We were landing some 30 to 45 lbs fish. Totally worth the trip. Additionally, as a dad, I loved watching my son (Chase) work as a deckhand. At 23, he's spent 6-years in Alaska fishing--his hustle, fishing skills, and interactions with the other four guest provided once in a lifetime "proud dad" moments I'll always remember. Very relaxing. We did a day and a half a salmon fishing with them and what a great time! They had everything arranged wonderfully. Great communication! They even process the fish for us and froze it into fillets. Absolutely zero complaints! They were super nice. It looked much better when the beds were made and not stripped! Lol. Nice little place for four people. It was just two this time. Plenty of seasonings and spices. And there was a grill outside! Their dogs were absolutely adorable. This was a lot of fun for kids because there was even a trampoline they let us use. They were super sweet. Easy parking. Really great price. And I would highly recommend this company!

We did all three. You'll need to rent a car and drive 2.5 hours from Anchorage. These are nice cabins with kitchens so you'll need to shop although it's 10 minutes to dozens of restaurants. The guides at all three locations are great and got us into fish each day

They are great guides with excellent customer service. They made sure you catch fish and leave happy. They also have nice cabins to stay right on the river. We didn't get to stay there as they were fully booked, but they invited us to their fish BBQ with some amazing homemade food. That was the best meal we had in Soldotna. I would definitely use their service if I come back to the Kenai river.
