I had heard horror stories from friends about the many offers on the many houses they had submitted before they finally were accepted. I was astonished that I wasn't in a crazy bidding war and didn't have to waive any inspections or take the property "as is" just to get into contract. There was some back and forth, but for the most part everything moved quickly and easily. Not being from New England there were so many things about the properties that I was unfamiliar with, including heating systems, septic tanks and dealing with snow. In May while me and girlfriend were looking for apartment a place caught our eye in Nashua. Our…read morerealtor Meri told us to sign up for a real estate app and that the owner prefers to use . So both me and my girlfriend sign up there was a fee attached to this app WE BOTH put in lots of personal information including our SSN, credit card info and all our previous addresses and our phone numbers . Once we filled it all out we informed Meri. Meri then told us the owner didn't use and hadn't used it at all it was her mistake and SHE thought she'd give it a try. Meri then told me she herself had never used it either and to print out the 35+ pages take pictures of it on my phone and text it to her. So we both signed up for an unverified app that the realtor has never used put in all our personal information that went god knows where and all we got was an ooops by this realtor! The next day and ever since we've been getting bombarded by phones calls from scam artists mostly saying they were from the IRS and to send money to India this never happened to either of us before. Stay away totally incompetent. Realtors are supposed to be reliable people that look out for interests of clients not run experiments on. I have screen shots of what she wrote.
