The lady at the counter knew both of the other customers by name. Regulars are always a good thing in any establishment. The sandwich was excellent, and I miss my Long Island, Deli's! I didn't know it was cash only and came up short $.50. She told me not to worry about it. That won me over and every time I'm on Long Island I will attend this deli as well as tip her. I highly recommend you check this place out.

Is the double edge sword because on one hand, I understand, but on the other hand, your prices are ready "fair" and shouldn't have to be passed on the consumer as everything else is.

I never leave a review because everyone's a critic, but this experience is worthy of one. I ordered 3 simple sandwiches. Ham and cheese and tomato with mayo. Another exactly the same, but with tomato and an onion bagel with bologna and American cheese (gross). They totaled it up and it was $25!!! What??? Since when is a ham and cheese sandwich $8.75??? Does the ham and gold flakes in it? There was 3 shreds of lettuce, 2 thinly sliced tomatoes and a slice of cheese. Their "speciality" HEROS were a mere $.25 more! A freaking hero, not two slices of white bread. Doesn't make sense. What a ripoff. Then the guy behind the counter said it it what it is. Really? As I left he said to find another place to go. The sandwiches were exactly as ordered and the perfect mix of ingredients. The one area of improvement would have been the way the coffee was packaged. It was packaged in paper cups wrapped in Saran Wrap. By the time it made it to us the coffee had sufficiently spilled out of the cups which saturated the paper and made the Saran Wrap a wet mess to get off. Other than that I would highly recommend them for breakfast food even if it will be delivered.
