Where do I begin this local family owned Deli right in the heart of Smithtown is definitely a hidden gem! I randomly found it and placed an order over the phone. The customer service was amazing. The owner and his mom were fabulous they were very sweet. They have a cute storefront with a nice bistro table if you wanted to dine in. It was difficult, making a decision on what to eat because everything looked so good. I ended up settling for the barbecue burger, the sun-dried wrap and egg salad. Everything was super fresh and would really stood out. Was it the egg salad was made when you ordered which was a definite, plus! When I asked for a recommendation on where to buy a 3ft hero this place came highly recommended. I ordered the Half American and Half Italian 3ft hero 2 days before I needed it. Once I put the sandwiches out less then 5 minutes it's was gone. The next day my guest called me and asked where did I get the hero from. It's something about that bread. I couldn't get enough of the bread. That's how good the hero was. It also came with a pound of coleslaw, potato salad and macaroni salad. I highly recommend this place and this will definitely be my new 3 or 6ft hero spot. Since ordering the hero we have been back for breakfast sandwiches and just regular sized hero. The New York deli experience is off to a go start after stopping at Jeco's. Great little shop with very nice employees and even nicer food. I got a healthy choice #2 which included honey turkey, egg whites, low sodium cheese and a choice of wrap (I got tomato basil). I also got hash browns because why not? They were good but slightly over cooked. My buddy got one of the specialty sandwiches and it was really good but I don't remember which one. He got the hero bread option too. Simply the best deli in town. Staff is friendly and professional and the owners are always present. They know most of us by name and say hello when you walk in the door too. No one does that anymore! They go the extra mile and it shows in their food and service. It's a real NY Deli that the rest of the country is jealous of because they mostly don't have deli's anything like this. Confession: I wanted one also :-) Found this small nearby deli located in a small strip of stores with ample parking. The inside looked very clean and well kept. The ladies working the register were extremely polite. She ordered a scrambled egg, bacon and cheese on a roll and I ordered a sausage , scrambled egg and extra cheese on a roll. The sandwiches were prepared promptly and they were both delicious. They came with a choice of coffee, tea, orange juice, cranberry juice or fruit punch. The exterior and interior aren't exactly "impressive" but the staff, pricing, & food were. -Buffalo Bullet: 5/5, delicious. Flavorful & stacked. It came with a drink & 1/4lb of salad as well for $12. Great price for the size. -Chicken Caprese Sandwich: 4/5, definitely a nice portion size but we had asked for balsamic dressing on it and they forgot so the sandwich was dry. Love this deli. The employees are all so nice and friendly. Their egg sandwiches are AMAZING. Best around. My kids love going in because of the decor (Funko pops and figurines all around). Their coffee is tasty, and they make sure to brew decaf fresh as they told me it doesn't keep fresh tasting for too long after being brewed. One visit the decaf had been sitting for awhile and they insisted on brewing a new pot to make mine. I've never had a restaurant or deli do that before. Jecos Deli just catered my grandson's Christening party. We had a combination of hot foods (chicken, eggplant, pasta, grilled vegetables) and "The Big Sandwich". The food was excellent, many people went out of their way to say so. I'm not usually a 'Big Sandwich' guy but the chicken cutlet/mozzarella/red pepper was so good! Really great deli! My boyfriend and I have been been coming here recently and love it! Their egg sandwiches (voted best on li 2019) are so good and so are their hungry mans! Normally I wouldn't give any place a good review when they have a "convenience charge" for credit cards payments. I am vehemently opposed to paying this fee. So even though I am giving them a good review, I probably go 1/4 the amount of time I used to before they adopted this fee, because I only go when I have cash and I rarely carry cash. With that said, they make great food and they're exceedingly nice. They make my favorite sandwich ever. I get a Manhattan with added bacon and bbq sauce. Most delis will microwave the meat to warm it up. They will grill everything to warm it up and it all comes out amazing. Well I stopped in because it was close to the car dealer I was going to. It was convenient for me bc it was on the north side of the road in the direction I was headed. Middle country rd is a pain. Anyway it's small, quaint, old and everybody was extremely friendly. I'd have no problem going back there. The food looked fresh but I ordered breakfast. The egg whites were perfectly moist, roll was fresh and turkey meat tasty. Nicely done. I think I paid 4.75 though for 2 egg whites on a roll with cheese no coffee added. My friend had a panini and I tried a piece of that also DELICIOUS! 2nd most important thing besides food quality is service. SERVICE IS EXCELLENT.
