Actual work was decent quality. No real complaints on the job. The real issue was the electrician cut my cable line to the house after I told him where it was. He even admitted he was going to stop earlier, but decided to just go a bit further. Then they spliced the cable line and weren't going to patch the conduit they ripped out that housed the coax. I had to request them return it to what it was before he cut it with the ditch witch. Then upon leaving they damaged my RV with the ditch witch and refused to compensate for the multiple scratches and dents on my camper. They said it wasn't their fault and the operator said he didn't do it. I was told that their insurance would contact me and he would give me contact information, but have not received either yet. After all of that they also did not give us a discount after we lost internet for a couple hours and had to have the cable re-ran the following week because the repaired cable had bad resistance and ruined our connection. On top of that, we work from home and lost work time with the internet down. I will not use them again and cannot recommend them in good faith. Not honorable for damaging property and refuse to make it right. read more

Lost another star down to 1 Star after the reply, because rather than ever fixing a problem they decide to make snarky responses. Avoid at all costs. Whether 2 days or 2 years has passed, you should be called out for ripping people off. I realized I never updated this review after the follow up. The issue that they came out to fix popped back up a couple weeks later, and I called them and told them that. It turns out that it had to do with loose connections in some of the outlets. When they came back out, they found another loose connection that they had missed the first time. I got charged another diagnostic fee for the exact same problem just because they weren't thorough enough to actually check all the outlets the first time. I paid it to the technicians but pretty much immediately followed up with an email to the customer service team asking why I was charged a second diagnostic fee when it was the exact same issue that they had already fixed. It's now been a very long time, and they just swept me under the rug to get their extra 147 dollars. read more

When I initially saw the reviews for Nipper, I thought it had to be fake because they were all positive. We called for an issue my husband just couldn't figure out. My husband can do a lot of electrical work but after days of trying to figure out what particular plug was causing our breaker to trip, he finally gave up. We hired Nipper electric to help with a handful of issues that my husband and I couldn't figure out, even with the help of a handyman. I heard back from Nipper electric in response to my request for a quote very quickly and their price for an evaluation seemed fair, especially since that fee would go toward the final cost. I was impressed with the communication leading up to the appointment and throughout the consultation. Matt was thorough with his explanation and assured me that he would return with a colleague to finish up the next day, and told me he could work with my schedule. Matt and his colleague returned on time the next day and fixed a variety of issues in just a few hours. They even agreed to install 2 sconces for us and included it in the price we had already agreed upon. I was able to work while they were there with very minimal distraction. With all of the great reviews on their website I asked Nipper to estimate extensive work needed in a home we bought recently. Kyle, the company owner, was very pleasant but he spent a lot of my time telling stories of his divorce and his political opinions on guns and gun safety - inappropriate. I chose to look beyond that but when I viewed the estimate it was incomplete - leaving out the most expensive work that I needed done. I called to address the issue and was brushed off, no response. Last week I hired another company to address the issues - I didn't share the estimate with the second company. It turns out that items included in the estimate as problems that needed attention were not problems at all - his estimate added at least a thousand bucks in unnecessary repairs. A-OK is an appropriate rating. Nipper Electrical sent a master electrician and a journeyman (I assume?) to repair a breaker fuse that would trip. The two electricians found the problem, a bad light switch to the kitchen lights and replaced the light switch. Problem solved, kudos. The A-Ok part is the pricing: the cost to find, fix the problem was on par with what I pay my lawyer (when extrapolated). Albeit, my lawyer would not be able to repair a light switch, but hey.... I was also offered an escalating service, the premium service was roughly $1100. which would guarantee their service/components for the life (if memory serves). We called because our bathroom outlets were tripping out every time we used them. There was an issue with my online request not processing, so I had to call back after not hearing for a few days, but Trey was very apologetic and explained their website glitch. They had us scheduled for a diagnostic the very next day. We are SO glad that we had Nipper come out because there were apparently an array of issues that really compromised the safety of our house. There was rust and corrosion in the box, and we had no ground cable at all, which shouldn't have passed the original electric inspection. Our technician, Rocky, was extremely professional, kind, and funny. He gave us several options but ultimately we decided on a new full panel box. We never felt pressured financially throughout the process. We have already recommended Nipper to two neighbors and will recommend them in the future to any friends or family needing work done.
