I think it says a lot that I don't mind flying into Houston and working here because the spot is that cool. I have to give kudos to the janitorial staff. I decided to move back to Houston from Tampa last summer. I came out in late August 2011 for the first time to start looking. From then on it was all over but the shouting. Trips back and forth to look for a new home. I happened upon this neighborhood by complete accident but once I saw it I knew I had to live here. It took a while but I finally found my dream home. I moved here in mid-February 2012. I have had a couple of hiccups along the way but nothing major and nothing I can't handle. I live on a little cul-de-sac, know all the neighbors and life is great. The HOA isn't too terribly ridiculous. The fees aren't as bad as some around the area. The Clubhouse is well kept. They have no problem with me when I go there with my service dog. She's even welcome in the pool area. I know I will be happy here for the next 30 or so years.

While it is not free, there are several parking lots to choose from and I have never had trouble finding a spot, even during events. I have attended multiple events here over the years, including a Yelp Elite end of year event, and the experience has always been consistently solid. My employer also maintains a space in the building, which speaks to the caliber of organizations and talent The Ion attracts. There are a couple of restaurants inside the building that I have not tried yet, along with outdoor seating that is great for lunch. Food trucks will often be set up outside during the lunch hour, which adds to the overall atmosphere. Security is attentive without being overbearing, and there is always someone present at the front desk. The building is consistently clean, polished, and well maintained. My favorite feature is the main floor stairs and stage area, which feels casual but still perfectly aligned with the innovative and professional nature of the space. If you are in the Houston area and have the opportunity to attend an event here, I highly recommend checking it out.

I searched long and hard to find a co-working space and this easily topped the list when combining my top priorities: location, environment, flexibility, and price.

However, this comes up for coworking space searches in katy, and that's not going to be the right fit here. We tried to go cowork here today, and the day pass rate is $35 per person - steep for Houston for sure. Before agreeing to pay, we asked to see the coworking space, which turned out to be a singular table with four chairs around it. Definitely large enough for four people to cowork, but that's all. Amenities include free drip coffee and a kitchen, but overall not enough to justify the price tag in my opinion. Office space and dedicated desks look like fabulous offerings and we'll consider that in the future if our needs change, but I wouldn't recommend for coworking.

However, a few things they are lacking are keeping the kitchen up to date with basic things every tenet needs. Water filters wasn't working for the longest time and water fountain is still broken. Parking garage signs are fallen or not up and when someone parks where they are "not suppose to" but don't know it since there weren't any signs they get in trouble without being their fault. Fire alarm goes off sometimes at random as well as lights. There has been some instances where internet is slow as well. Might need to pay a little more attention on certain areas but in overall not a bad place !!

It takes pride in supporting an ecosystem of artists and folks who are genuinely enthusiastic about the arts; and that's exactly what it delivered tonight. The open, spacious studio was filled with unique art pieces and held space for thoughtful dialogue. It's also home to The Reading Room HTX, which houses an amazing selection of Black literature. I absolutely love coming here, time and time again. The programming is always fresh and intentional, the people are warm and welcoming, and you're guaranteed to walk away having learned something, been inspired by something you saw or heard, or even surprised yourself with something you said.

Somehow WorkLodge keeps flagging my review and getting it pulled. I am a former customer. A year…read moreago I was going to cancel, and they told me I could downgrade the service at any time as a part of their sales effort to get me to extend, which I did. When I requested a downgrade 9 months later, they refused, and are now threatening legal action to get me to continue to pay a monthly service fee at the higher level. Attached is the email they sent me, which they are ignoring. They even tried to pull the funds out of my bank account via ACH, after I had revoked their permission to do so, but thankfully my bank has blocked them.
