The one on one lessons I got from Humberto and David helped me progress quickly and confidently. They were always keeping me up to date with the changes going on at the DMV and also making sure that I was well-prepared when I took my CDL exam. Thanks to both of them I passed my CDL exam FIRST TRYY. Gladys at the office was also very supportive and helpful with setting up my hours to my preference. ***Scammed by the Pomona location but this applies to all their locations*** WARNING: DO NOT LOSE YOUR MONEY HERE. ILLEGAL CDL MILL & FINANCIAL FRAUD! READ THE BAD REVIEWS!!! Nixon Trucking School is scamming families out of their hard-earned money. They are no longer on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR), meaning they cannot legally certify or license anyone to drive a commercial vehicle. I am posting this because they scammed my husband and are flat-out refusing to refund our money. * The Multiple Names Shell Game: This business operates under multiple names--including Lincoln Trucking School and Nixon College Division--to route student payments, hide their assets, and dodge legal liability. When I demanded our money back, Karina tried to deflect blame by telling me to "take it up with Lincoln Trucking," even though they are the exact same operation. We gave our money directly to Nixon, and my husband walked straight into the Nixon Pomona yard and handed his cash directly to Karina. * The FMCSA Shutdown & English-Speaking Falsifications: On August 31, 2026, it was confirmed that they were kicked off the federal registry through an emergency enforcement shutdown due to a massive number of regulatory flags against them. In her own words, Karina admitted to us that they just found out about it and believe it was because the "drivers they certified do not speak English." Those are her exact words! This proves they are complacent, willfully tipping people off, failing to educate properly, and putting unqualified drivers on the roads with your loved ones just to make a quick buck. The "Training" is a Total Joke: My husband paid a $500 down payment and only received 2 hours of "nothing." They handed him a packet in broken English / Grammar and left it up to him to figure it out with zero structure, curriculum, or guidance. The instructor was on his phone at times, tried running through the test for him to memorize like he would understand it without proper explanation first and spoke broken English so hard to understand. No safety, road laws, or truck components were explained first and my husband was completely ignored when asking what to do next. They run a cheap "crash course" to cheat the bare minimum of the DMV test instead of teaching how to safely operate a truck and navigate the road. To top it off, once Karina got his cash, she completely vanished and ignored him until he called repeatedly just to ask what to do / study next. * Owner Ricardo Refuses to Refund: They know they cannot legally continue the program, yet owner Ricardo and Karina are refusing to refund our $500 down payment. Karina is actively dodging calls, blocking numbers, and giving us the runaround. She claims she is "on vacation," yet she'll answer the main office phone number after ignoring her personal number and vice versa. Told we need to talk to Ricardo who has made zero effort to reach out and make things right. * The Massive Crackdown & No-Hire Lists: Several hundred fraudulent schools like this are being shut down nationwide. It is all over the news, which is how we found out what was happening and realized they were kicked off the registry. Drivers who graduated from these mills are actively being pulled over, targeted by law enforcement, and having their licenses revoked. Reviews state Nixon is on an explicit "no-hire" list from major trucking companies due to the sheer volume of complaints about drivers coming out of this school. Karina wants to claim they had no idea this happened and that it was a sudden shock. They claimed they didn't know until we brought it to their attention, yet they willfully allowed my husband to come down for his second hour AFTER August 31st! They clearly knew because they were locked out of the TPR system and couldn't log student hours. They were going to keep taking our money weekly until we figured it out. REFUND MY MONEY! You cannot legally honor the program we paid a down payment for and 2 hours of trying to interpret a badly typed packet is not worth $500. Excellent school. I recommend Nixon Trucking School 100%. Oscar, the trainer grumpy old dude but will take the time to teach you everything you need to pass the test. Never! Never trust and never go to that school! It is not a school at all! You will just lose your money and time. 1) They don't teach. No one will teach you. You should be prepared that you will be standing alone by a truck and no one will tell you about truck anything. 2) You will be given keys and you will just be driving alone, no one will tell you how to do that. 3) Moreover, they can't supply you with trucks enought. They have only few trucks for plenty clients. You will have to wait your order hours, days, weeks. 4) They will give you a contract where you must get your CDL in two months but it is impossible to do because there are not free slots enough in their schedule. It will be 2-3 slots per two weeks. 5) After 2 months a contract will be suspended and you have to pay again. 6) Also, there is an implicit racial discrimination. They have a lot of Chinese students who has unlimited hours and Chinese manager who books all free hours for them so you couldn't book hours enough if you are not a Chinese. 7) There is completely mess in their schedule-one day it has free slots, next day it hasn't, after that it has it again. 9) You can't book more 2 hours a day, 10) If you book a truck in their schedule only for you, next day you go to a field and manager says you there are four people for two trucks and you can't use whole hour and you need share that truck with other in 30 minutes or come next day. 11) They can change field where you driving for another place far from that one for 20 miles. 12) No money refunds. If you give them your money, forget about them. According to the contract you MUST NOT write ANY bad comments in ANY social media! That reason why they still have only good reviews. P.S. It was impossible to deliberate with that school, that why I am going to a court now. So, if you want do the same, choose that school. Bloomington was a good choice for me. I'm upset it wasn't my first choice, I made the mistake of going to Nixon LA location first. I always felt I don't have enough road time and they uncertainty with little help learning the double clutch I felt so unprepared. scheduling training days only to show up and I'm not on the schedule was a key issue. I made the choice to drive an extra hour to Bloomington for help. If your gonna go with Nixon go to Bloomington, I passed my test and the people at Bloomington were a big part of it. read more

this school sucks, they're unorganized unprofessional and just horrible in general. The way they schedule appointments "classes" is ridiculous and on top of paying for your schooling they make you pay another extra 60$ to take an online test before you can schedule any classes. I understand there's more students then teachers but they should seriously figure out a method on managing time with each student and how many Student can attend a class at a time. It's unfair for a student to not get any learning time because the teacher is focus on someone else just because they have they're test coming up if that's the case they should offer 1 on 1 private class for a student that will be taking they're test soon other miss out on learning because of that. They should also be a bit more flexible with the hours and days they offer classes. They seriously need to find a better strategy maybe scheduling the same students on same days and times and teaching them the same topic all together instead of each student on a different topic. read more

This is an honest post for any prospective future truck drivers , If you are looking to get your cdl to be a truck driver or for any other reason do not waste your money here. The facts are this place does not train you, they give you a packet for you to memorize for your pre trip and tell you to learn this packet front to back before you can drive their vehicle, after proving to them that you know the packet well enough you will never get training with a teacher, there is no classroom time, they will have you wasting hours there just studying the truck when you need those hours for behind the wheel, they will keep you there for months at a time before you take your behind the wheel test also make sure you understand what your getting because their stands package only comes with one attempt at your behind the wheel, they have students trying to teach each other the person who is supposed to be the "teacher" doesn't teach anything just signals and has students switching in and out of the trucks without getting real seat time all in all if you need a spot to refresh your skills then maybe but if you have not driven before I would stay away from this school save your time and money and find a real school that will train you properly for what it is that you are looking for. read more
