Nixon Trucking School is scamming families out of their hard-earned money. They are no longer on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR), meaning they cannot legally certify or license anyone to drive a commercial vehicle. I am posting this because they scammed my husband and are flat-out refusing to refund our money. * The Multiple Names Shell Game: This business operates under multiple names--including Lincoln Trucking School and Nixon College Division--to route student payments, hide their assets, and dodge legal liability. When I demanded our money back, Karina tried to deflect blame by telling me to "take it up with Lincoln Trucking," even though they are the exact same operation. We gave our money directly to Nixon, and my husband walked straight into the Nixon Pomona yard and handed his cash directly to Karina. * The FMCSA Shutdown & English-Speaking Falsifications: On August 31, 2026, it was confirmed that they were kicked off the federal registry through an emergency enforcement shutdown due to a massive number of regulatory flags against them. In her own words, Karina admitted to us that they just found out about it and believe it was because the "drivers they certified do not speak English." Those are her exact words! This proves they are complacent, willfully tipping people off, failing to educate properly, and putting unqualified drivers on the roads with your loved ones just to make a quick buck. The "Training" is a Total Joke: My husband paid a $500 down payment and only received 2 hours of "nothing." They handed him a packet in broken English / Grammar and left it up to him to figure it out with zero structure, curriculum, or guidance. The instructor was on his phone at times, tried running through the test for him to memorize like he would understand it without proper explanation first and spoke broken English so hard to understand. No safety, road laws, or truck components were explained first and my husband was completely ignored when asking what to do next. They run a cheap "crash course" to cheat the bare minimum of the DMV test instead of teaching how to safely operate a truck and navigate the road. To top it off, once Karina got his cash, she completely vanished and ignored him until he called repeatedly just to ask what to do / study next. * Owner Ricardo Refuses to Refund: They know they cannot legally continue the program, yet owner Ricardo and Karina are refusing to refund our $500 down payment. Karina is actively dodging calls, blocking numbers, and giving us the runaround. She claims she is "on vacation," yet she'll answer the main office phone number after ignoring her personal number and vice versa. Told we need to talk to Ricardo who has made zero effort to reach out and make things right. * The Massive Crackdown & No-Hire Lists: Several hundred fraudulent schools like this are being shut down nationwide. It is all over the news, which is how we found out what was happening and realized they were kicked off the registry. Drivers who graduated from these mills are actively being pulled over, targeted by law enforcement, and having their licenses revoked. Reviews state Nixon is on an explicit "no-hire" list from major trucking companies due to the sheer volume of complaints about drivers coming out of this school. Karina wants to claim they had no idea this happened and that it was a sudden shock. They claimed they didn't know until we brought it to their attention, yet they willfully allowed my husband to come down for his second hour AFTER August 31st! They clearly knew because they were locked out of the TPR system and couldn't log student hours. They were going to keep taking our money weekly until we figured it out. REFUND MY MONEY! You cannot legally honor the program we paid a down payment for and 2 hours of trying to interpret a badly typed packet is not worth $500. Instructor will do a short lesson behind the wheel driving and then accompany the student to DMV to handle all the DMV testing process before and after. I had to cancel my daughter's driving instruction because she woke up sick with a high fever, but because it's not a "48-hour" notice, I'm charged a $50 fee OR provide a doctor's note. First off, who anticipates their child being sick 48 hours ahead of time. Second, why would I drag my child out of bedrest to the doctor's? Besides that, the instructors (per my daughter) are nice. The instructor constantly pressured me while I was driving and even commented that my lessons were a "waste of money." On the day of the driving test, they told me, "You will fail the test." I did fail and seem like a waste of money. Looking back, choosing this school was my biggest mistake. The car they use is in poor condition. It is very easy to unintentionally exceed the speed limit, especially because the speedometer does not provide an accurate or clear speed reading. This already undermines safe learning. The teaching style makes the situation worse. During practice, when I became nervous and was driving about 5 mph below the speed limit, the car in front of me was already exceeding the limit. I explicitly asked the instructor whether I should follow the speed of the car ahead. Instead of addressing my hesitation, the instructor simply told me to speed up. This response is deeply concerning. Any instructor familiar with California roads should understand how aggressive drivers can be and how easily pressure increases risk, especially for learners. Under this kind of instruction, it is difficult to develop safe driving habits. The school charges $460 for six hours plus the driving test, which is unreasonable given the quality of instruction. At the same price level, far more patient and detailed instructors are easy to find elsewhere, so there is no justification for this cost. This school seems suitable for people who have already been driving for years. For beginners or nervous drivers, the environment may be encouraging at times, but there is a real chance it can also be stressful, discouraging, and counterproductive. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend the school. As noted earlier, there are some polite instructors, and I am sharing my experience and observations here solely for reference. Side note: I passed the behind-the-wheel test with a different school six days later, with a total of only one hour of practice during those six days. Given this outcome, I found it hard to blame all my failure in the first test was solely due to my own driving ability, rather than the discouraging remarks before the test and the quality of instruction I received at this school :)

He tells us to go ahead and practice around Moreno Valley Mall ( the permit clearly states it's illegal before the first session), but as he said "it's fine, they really don't care." Hmmm ok. But hey, my kid needs that stupid signature and they're the only service to answer the phone. Whatever. Then he calls back and says the instructor has had some family emergency. Need to reschedule. For 3 weeks later. Ok fine, but my kid is busy at school until after 1, not a problem. Agrees to 3pm. Fast forward to the day before new appointment day, I get an email with you guessed it. A mistake. It's for 12-- while she's in school. I'm not so happy now. He insisted he sent me an email. Aside from my original receipt I've only ever received blank messages. He tells me to go to my computer instead of my phone, (It worked fine for this email). The thumbprint is tiny can't make it bigger can't click it and certainly can't read it.. but he tells me we'll have to reschedule again. Nope. We agreed to refund and he hung up on me! And sent me another rude message (hope you can open this), I couldn't. But thank goodness PayPal sends notifications. DO NOT ATTEMPT to use this company!!!! Do NOT!!
