I happened to be visiting for the week, and it was very frustrating for me that every office he was referred to did not have any appointments for two months. I spoke to his chiropractor, who is a family friend, and he stressed the fact that waiting two months was not acceptable. My father is hard of hearing, and not really savvy on social media. Since YELP is my go to for everything, I decided to research other offices and see if I could find him an appointment much sooner. Being in the dental industry, it is very important for me to read credentials and reviews from patients. I was very impressed with Dr. Scopelliti's back ground, so with fingers crossed, I made the call. Ladies and gentlemen, I felt like I was reaching out to an old friend. Debbie was so kind and understanding! Having an aging parent can be very challenging, but she was very patient as my dad chimed in his two cents from the background. She was able to get my father an appointment in four days. We chatted for a bit about what it is like to be a patient provider. She told me about the doctor, and the one on one experience he provides. I sent her dad's insurance information, and she was kind enough to reach out within the hour to explain about his patient portion. I was really looking forward to meeting the team, but circumstances came up and I sent my mom. I wanted her to be able to understand what the Dr. was diagnosing, and due to HIPPA regulations, I wanted her to be able to have future discussions if need be. When they came home, Dad gave rave reviews about Dr. S. He treated him for a full hour, had strict Covid guidelines, and dad had a better understanding about what was happening to his body. I am so very thankful for these people. In this time of uncertainty, you think the worst outcome possible. Dad was convinced he had one foot in the grave, and was discussing his burial wishes. I told him only the good die young, and he has plenty of years left! We have a little work to do to get him on the mend, but thanks to Dr. S and his extremely thorough exam....there will be many more visits with my family. I called Dr. Momeni's office a total of three times to vet my insurance, the doctor, and his process before driving an hour for a consultation with Dr. Momeni. I spoke with two different women, including Shannon, and I was extremely thorough. I provided my specific UHC ID number and plan details. The first woman I spoke with told me they accept UHC "as an umbrella" no matter what the plan is. I didn't just take her word for it--I specifically asked for an official check to be efficient. She said sure, I know we take it but I'll "verify". She put me on hold and came back and said "Yes, we take your plan." I even called back a second time to double-check and was told "Yes" again. Momeni was scheduled as an early morning appt, I drove an hour, and took time out of my day. I filled out all the paperwork, gave insurance and Shannon came out and smugly announced they don't take my plan. Instead of treating me with kindness for their massive administrative error, she had a look of pure condescension and blamed me. She accused me of "putting myself in this position" by not disclosing my insurance--a flat-out lie since I gave them my ID number and they supposedly did an "official check" on it. When I responded that I would never do that, Shannon responded with a silent stare-down that lasted a full minute, and then said, 'We don't take your insurance' in a very stern, condescending voice. This was very disconcerting and patronizing. She behaved arrogantly and dismissive, as if she were trying to belittle me. It was frankly embarrassing to be treated with that kind of smugness after I had already double-checked my insurance with their office. And to be accused to deception is something that should have never happen.

The implants were to be placed under the chest muscle(sub-muscular) 1 year post-op I had my routine mammography and was told my implants were placed on top of the muscle not under the chest muscles. I called Dr Rose's office & asked his Nurse to pull up my post-op surgical notes that Dr Rose documented. She stated as per the doctors notes that the implants were placed under the chest muscles. I have left 4 messages for a call back without a response. This is malpractice in my book. Thinking of contacting a malpractice attorney, maybe that will get their attention. The ear had been split for several years, and I wore clipped earrings until I decided to get the ear repaired. Today, the stubs came out, and I finally saw the results. Amazing! My earlobe is healed, and I am ready to wear pierced earrings again. Believe it or not, it's been about 30 years since I wore pierced earrings! The care was phenomenal. Dr. Spears is an A-1 plastic surgeon and a female to boot. The staff members are the nicest people you ever want to meet. Customer service is exceptional, above and beyond what you typically get in a doctor's office. Reminder notifications are sent in a timely fashion. Staff will take the time to personally phone you if there are concerns or a missed appointment. But most of all, the team relates to patients on a personal level. Today, I called to change the appointment time, and Stephanie, the office manager, asked me about a health concern I shared with her during one of my visits. She then said she had thought of me and prayed for my recovery. It was so lovely of her to say that to me. All of the staff members demonstrate that level of personal care and concern. There is very little wait time. I have only waited up to 15 minutes to see the doctor. I have always been seen within a reasonable time frame of my appointment time. I can't say that for most practices. The office is clean, and the decor is warm and inviting. I don't know if I will have reason to use a plastic surgeon again, but if I do, and the concern fits her expertise, I'm there! I'll find some reason to go back!
