This doctor is very compassionate and helpful. Also, the office staff is quite friendly. I would definitely recommend.

Dr. Choy's staff person, Erica, called me back and I told her what the situation was. Erica told me she would check with Dr. Choy and get right back to me within a few minutes. I told her that might be a challenge depending on the doctor's availability, but to please call me back at her earliest convenience with some answers. I never heard from her again. I called again and left a message reminding her that I was waiting to hear back from her. No call back. I called one last time telling her that the situation was very serious and I needed to know if Dr. Choy could possibly help my brother, otherwise we'd have to make other arrangements. I literally begged Erica to give me the courtesy of a return call. I never heard from them. After she finished her testing, she was able to determine that my problem was neuropathy stemming from Lyme's Disease which I had over 25 years ago. She makes me feel that I matter to her as a person as well as a patient. I wholeheartedly endorse her and recommend her to one and all. She really helps.

The downside is that her office staff, while very friendly, never answers the phone or call back to set up my appointments. They don't send new prescription to the pharmacy on time and I also ran into an issue with her billing office trying to charge me for an EEG from over a year ago, which was covered by my insurance. I ended up having to switch doctors because I've been trying to get an appointment for several weeks now. I'm sad because I like Dr Wu, but I can't call every day until someone answers.

**Please read full review that I posted on Google and the office removed it to cover their lies**…read moreDr. Jacqueline Romero and the PA (Karen?) are both novel in their medical journey. This is based on the fact that Dr. Romero has very poor bedside manners and that they both struggled immensely to get a height and other measurements. They ultimately got a wildly inaccurate measurement based on my records. Additionally, the nurse took a height while the patient was sitting down and the MD and PA both struggled to take another measurement, using incorrect technique and dropping the measuring tape several times. Does that make any sense or sound accurate at all? They are very novel and amateur in their experience and I wouldn't trust or be confident in their medical opinions or their knowledge. I recommend going elsewhere. They were both very nice, but nice doesn't cut it when it comes to finding the best care for your family. They also both seemed very nervous. Additionally important, the office tried to bill me for an extra $40. Little do they know that I check each claim carefully and when I mentioned it to them, they removed the additional charge. There was no good reason for having even added that charge. The speed with which it was removed tells me they were well aware of what they were doing. They also billed my insurance for an additional charge for a prolonged visit, mind you we were waiting in the room between seeing the PA/NP and the doctor for 45 minutes doing nothing. That's the reason for the prolonged visit. They keep you waiting in a room for a long time before seeing the doctor so they can charge you for a longer visit. I am informing my insurance and working on appealing that claim. It's a shame that they try to steal from patients and bill excessively, I write this as a warning for patients. Always check your claims and ensure they don't bill for a prolonged visit, I'm sure they didn't expect me to be checking mine. If they do, you can appeal it. *UPDATED after their response: please specify which part of this review was untrue? Also, isn't this a strange way for a doctors office to reply? You should take constructive feedback and improve.* *UPDATED again: I have a voicemail message from your staff requesting me to pay a bill of $293 when the claim total owed was $253. This is also what was requested when I called back. You can continue to claim this is untrue, but I have the voicemail message and the claim total owed per my insurance. The way your staff responds to reviews is very interesting. Also equally interesting that you have the time to respond to reviews so promptly. Perhaps you should direct your time to medical education, proper patient communication, and learning how insurance claims work. Your responses back are only making you look worse, but please continue. Here are the receipts regarding my review. As you say to anyone who leaves you a negative review, best wishes to you.
