My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Nathaniel for our engagement and wedding photos. On both occasions, we experienced the utmost professionalism, expertise, flexibility, and FUN. Nathaniel is a photographer who is extremely talented and knows what to do to get the best shots, but he also takes the time to listen to your wants, needs, and possible crazy ideas. We did not work with him until about a month before our wedding, but thankfully we got along very well. He is a very easy going person with a laid back personality. After meeting Nathaniel at our engagement session, we were extremely excited to work with him again. Our engagement photos were taken on the beach and are very beautiful. Nathaniel let us have fun with lots of different props and signs. He had great ideas and they were all pretty successful. When Nathaniel arrived at my mother-in-law's where we were getting ready, he walked into complete chaos. However, he made me feel very relaxed and confident that we would get all of the pictures I wanted. It really felt like an old friend was there taking our pictures! I honestly don't remember seeing Nathaniel much throughout the rest of the day and night, but I know he was everywhere. Many of our friends and family commented on how amazing he was (they still haven't even seen the pictures!) simply based on the fact that he actually was everywhere, whether on the floor, in a small nook, or right on the dance floor to get the perfect shot. My husband and I had the ultimate surprise when we received an email on our honeymoon that our photos were ready to view. We sat for hours looking through all 1,800 photos and relived the night of our dreams. The photos that Nathaniel and his associate photographer, Shawn, took are absolutely stunning and perfect. Nathaniel truly captured the emotion, love, and pure joy that we felt throughout the day. When Nathaniel told us his time was up at the reception, I nearly cried! We didn't want him to leave! Amazing! We hired Nathaniel Johnston for our son's Bar Mitzvah. We could not have had a better experience or any more amazing images to choose from! Njohnston Photography is definitely remarkable!!! I don't usually do well in front of cameras but Nathaniel was so skillful at creating an environment and providing guidance that made me feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. I left all the variables up to Nathaniel and he delivered wonderfully!
