So to say this is off the beaten path is an understatement. However - once you find it you're going to love it. A wonderful garden area with different types of seating. Games, animals, an "ass" to scratch (for reals). Live music and beer/sangria. And the best part- whisky and rum tasting. Doubles as event space. You can't drink the liquor onsite. Probably for the best- too much and you may never find your way out. Also food truck! Delicious bites to go with the beer and beautiful weather. The good news- we got the good stuff, and the bad news is that our rum bottle opened up and more than half of it poured out before we made it home- so be careful with that stuff! read more

Absolutely amazing! So glad I made the trip even though friends backed out. Wonderful and informative staff. Such a fun place. It is about a 10 minutes drive off 19 on a dirt road but so worth it. I went on a band night, saw Bearded Brothers couldn't wait to see Crossfire Creek but I wasn't feeling that great. There are good trucks which they do announce on their website. We were driving through Chassahowitzka WMA today and found Njoy! As we entered, a super sweet lady asked if we had ever been there, to which we replied, we had not. She immediately set us up with Natalie, the owner for a 'tasting' and to explain the distillery and farm. Natalie was very informative and fun! Tshirts, home baked goods using the rum, honey, spices and jams were available for purchase, along with the rum and whisky! (My husband loved the Rye Whisky and the Limited Edition Rye, bringing home a bottle of each!) After, we enjoyed a glass of Sangria (it was SO good! My non-loving sweet wine hubby loved it!!) and a smash burger from the food truck that was there, sitting outside by a pond! You can tell a lot of work has been put into this property! It's absolutely beautiful! I can see us spending a day here!! We'll be back, soon!!! read more

Small but mighty- I feel this way about plenty of small businesses, but this one is very interesting! Whiskey was the goal and they crushed it! A Florida Rye Whiskey that is farm to table, with the rye grown right there on the farm, it is one of the smoothest rye whiskeys I have ever had! And then there is the rum and the moonshine! The moonshine that is the base of the whiskey and only a heart cut! Plus all the extra in the gift shop! Coffee, jams, hand rolled cigars, bbq rub, and more! Plus the 2 bars outside offering beer and wine, plenty of space to spread out, play games, grab a bite from the food truck or enjoy some live entertainment. Please- read the information on their website about when they are open and how to get to their remote distillery. Google maps does not know how to get you there, but if you read the directions on the website you won't have any trouble getting there, and yes- you leave the paved road and drive through no where Florida! I'm always down for an adventure- so this did not deter me. It also helped that 2 other distilleries bragged about this distillery! THIS PLACE IS SUPER CUTE! You almost feel like you're not in Florida. First thing you should know is that it does take a bit of time to get to this gem, just look for the little little green signs on the way there when you're on the long road. Besides that, this places is immaculate and stunning . I'm going to start taking my family and friends that visit to this place. The staff and owners were very nice as well. If you go when it starts to get cold bring a nice big coat or a blanket to sit by the bonfire. read more

This a perfect little day date location. The staff was amazing and very kind. The drinks were of course, perfect! But watch out for the moonshine, it will get you. Lol. The reason behind a 3 rating and not a 4 or 5 was based off of two things. First, location, location, location. NJOY was very difficult to find. Google maps takes you to a hunting location. Then when I put the address in a again it took me to a gated golf community. Lucky the guard at the gate was knowledgeable of where the distillery was located (he said everyone ends up there) I was able to find it passed the hunting location. Second was the food. We had the polish sausages with the pirogies. The food was ok at best. Missing seasoning and the bread was slightly hard. I will be visiting this little gem in the near future and will update my review if the food is any better. Nothing they can do about location, other than maybe larger signs at the beginning of the hunting trail. read more

GPS initially took us to Glen Lakes community. The guard gave us a map to the actual entry at Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area. It's about another 15 minute drive in the middle of nowhere. When we arrived, the sign said they were closed until April 8. Long drive for nothing. read more

What a hidden Gem! We were driving home from Kayaking & saw a sigh to this place. We decided to make a stop. Driving to this location is an adventure. You have to drive through a state park on a dirt road, becuase google has you going through a golf course which is incorrect. We even joke, watch it be close when we finally get there. Too our surprise it was open. It was night and day. You drive through this sandy white road & you get to the location it's this immaculate green grass. Beautiful decorated decors! Beautiful sign welcoming us. We did the tour tasted some whiskey, rum, & moonshine. It was absolutely wonderful. If you love doing a spirit tours add this to your listed. read more

This is about their "Whiskey in the Woods" event https://njoyspirits.com/event/whiskey-in-the-woods-event-2021/. The name of this event is complete and utter bullshit, as they only serve beer and wine for this event. Your "whiskey" is a micro sample served in a micro cup (literally like maybe an 8th of an ounce and you only get one sample). Which means you can only try the rum OR the whiskey, not both. So after driving an hour and 20 one way and paying $30 for entry, I now have to pay $6 per for drink tickets as none are included in the entry fee???? and wander around wondering WTF was I thinking? But it was definitely not clear at the time of my ticket purchase online that there would be no fucking actual whiskey in the woods. 2 overpriced food trucks, one BBQ with an extremely limited menu of just sandwiches and no sides (not even cole slaw), lady serving the micro samples had plenty of attitude when I showed my lack of appreciation for the name of the event upon learning about the lack of actual whiskey being served... The only positive thing I can say is that the venue is ok, and the band was decent. I will not be back, nor will I be buying any of their product at retail AS I COULD NOT EVEN GET A REAL SAMPLE TO TRY AT AN EVENT CALLED WHISKEY IN THE WOODS!!! read more

Njoy deserves more than 5 stars! This distillery is set on a property that is a little slice of heaven nestled back in the woods, green and lush and perfect for all weather. It is perfect for showing visiting relatives and friends to give them a true local and old Florida experience. Njoy is so warm and inviting with excellent and knowledgeable service from the bar staff and owners who do a remarkable job explaining their distilling process. Taking the tour is an absolute must to see how their whiskey, rum and moonshine goes through the distillation process. My favorite part is the tasting at the end. It is so fun to learn how things like this are made at such high-quality so close to home! Visiting the distillery makes a wonderful day trip and we look forward to coming and chance we can get! read more

THEY DON'T ACCEPT CASH. There are signs to get you onto the path, but if it hadn't been for a few cars ahead of me that already knew where it was located, I would not have found the place at all. The last sign says "5 miles ahead" and there are three different-named roads, maybe four, before you get there. Once there, the stools are locked into the footrest. There is actual barb-wire art on the footrest. So in order to sit down, you have to squeeze in. Finally, they don't take cash. So the money I worked for, which I was told was 'fungible', in that one dollar is not distinguishable from another dollar, they won't take. Oh, yes, I know, "Just put on the mask." Right? "Why are you so bothered by wearing a mask over your face?" Well, why don't you hire employees you can trust? Why do I have to use a card to spend my money? Why do I have to tell Mastercard, who tells Google, everything that I do? These people are sound asleep. They probably heard of CBDC's and think it is a conspiracy-theory. Or heard of ESG and think, "Damn, what a great idea. Why didn't I think of that?" I won't be going back, and I won't mention it to friends, this place to me does not exist, as soon as I can wash the dust off my car later this week, this review will be the only remaining memory that I have of a horrible experience. EDIT: The owner's reply that I was escorted from the property is a lie. I used profanity, and I will do so again! I have a lot of four-letter words for her and her business! First be warned don't trust your GPS!! Take US 19 north then left at commercial way- yes it's the entrance to the nature pressure and a dirt road yes that's the right way! Go down Rattle Snake Camp Road then onto South Road stay on that until you see the small sign for the distillery on the right. Once you find it you'll be glad you did! We were given a sweet tour and met two nice guys one named popcorn for a story of the location saw the distillery process and the soon to be speak easy area. Outback there's water and a tasting and merch area. The whisky, rum & 150 prof moonshine is strong but super smooth!!! The whisky is aged a minimum of 3 years and is 60 - worth it! The mermaid rum is 40 and the moonshine is 25. They also have stickers, shirts, signs, glassware. No pressure to buy and free tasting! I have to take my husband back her now that I know where it is. It's off the beaten path. You will feel lost 2-3 times before you get there. But it is a great place to relax and chat with friends.

After looking through the web site I thought this would ben a fun thing to do, I have never been so wrong in my life! First you have to travel 5 miles down a dirt road with a top speed of 15/20 mph if you want to keep from damaging your car, when you finally arrive there is no one to greet you and you are left to find your own way around. After getting instruction from the bar tender only after she was done cleaning and putting things away were we told its a self tour and pointed to a near by 4 stall barn, they have 3 or four signs telling what the equipment is but no one to answer questions. Tasting is in the back of the barn so you once again have to figure out how to get there and if you have a cane or wheel chair you can't get there (signs are posted). Tasting is the biggest joke, 1/8 of a teaspoon which is mostly ice and you only taste 2 things for 10.00, seriously a Hugh ripe off. Save your time, money and wear and tear on your car and dont go!! There wasn't any live entertainment as stated on the web site either. We were there for 32 minutes, biggest waste of time ever!!!!! read more

Great Distillery and Tour! We stopped in here on a Saturday afternoon and it was well worth the time. The distillary is very small and is basically housed in a barn. The tour starts outside showing you where the sugar cane and rye is planted. They explain how the sugar cane and rye is processed. They explain the equipment, some of which was horse powered at one time. They walk you through the entire process, including the barrelling and aging of the whiskey. The final stop is the tasting room, where you can sample the goods and purchase whiskey, shirts, jams, honey - but with no pressure. They have a small outside area where they have beer on tap and you can just Njoy the surroundings! Lovely time. read more

November 2019 - The Villages Miata MX-5 Club toured the distillery and sampled the products. Everything tasted was outstanding. While the 5 miles of uneven and dirt roads leading to the distillery was a bit overwhelming in a Miata, the trip was worth it. If you enjoy boutique spirts, you will enjoy it. We found this distillery while exploring the Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area with our two dogs and were happy to learn that we could bring our dogs in with us as long as they remained on leash. We got in, sat down, ordered a drink and the property dog, Rummer, came in to greet our dogs. Off leash and unsupervised. They did fine, the bartender kept telling Rummer to "behave" so we grabbed our drinks to walk around and give him some space. Not even 5 minutes later did Rummer come back to our dogs and attacked our lab Cliff, one employee kind of just sat back and watched. Once Rummer left Cliff alone he turned towards our other dog Marley, stiff and growling walking towards her. If it wasn't for my girlfriend putting her self in between them he would've attacked her too. After all of this an employee finally grabbed Rummer by the collar. To our surprise though it wasn't to put him up or on leash, we were told to go by the grass because Rummer was territorial. Rummer was then let go as we were walking away, again. OFFLEASH & UNSUPERVISED. Decided the best option would be to put our dogs in the car and to leave. Didn't get a chance to try any of the spirits or the property, unfortunately the aggressive dog and poorly behaved employees left a bad taste in my mouth. If your dog is aggressive and territorial, wouldn't it be the best option to not allow him to roam freely, or just not allow other dogs on the property!??? 0/10 read more

What a fun place! The drive is harrowing, staff struggles to give proper directions. But hey... everyone is super nice and the farm is so damn cute all I can think about is how to recreate the property for myself. The moonshine tasting is not for the meek of pallet. I'm not 100% sure what moonshine is good for but one wants so bad to bring home the ambiance I bought a bottle. I bought a bottle of everything actually!I tell everyone to visit. Place looks great from the outside, don't get me wrong has a great atmosphere. The downfall is once you begin the $8 tour of the "distillery" it's two rooms in a farmhouse. But it gets better your $8 also includes the tasting of the three liquors. Tasting is an understatement, the ice cube the lady puts in your cup is bigger then the "cup". She then continues to "pour" the liquor in the cup a minuscule amount, she spilt more on the ground than she poured in everyones cup combined. You just taste Ice. Downfall was the tasting and the lady administering the tasting she's very rude and should not be tasked with that job. Bud light is cold from the bar for $4 so deserved one star. read more

The tour was nice. The woman serving samples let people smell the alcohol first, with their noses right near the top of the bottle, then poured from the same bottle. Gross! She also treated me like a small child in front of lots of other people close to my age. Sort of like she was lecturing me even though I'm of legal drinking age... so I won't be back. read more
