I found Salazar Electric online and decided to give them a call. Juan, the owner, came to my home and was prompt at the scheduled appointment. I explained to him that I just painted the house and did not want any holes in the ceiling. In addition, I just recently spray foamed my attic as well. He went over in detail how he was going to run the electrical line and assured me no holes were going to be in the ceiling or walls, as he was going to snake the wires down the walls. I informed Juan that I wanted the work done in June, which was about three weeks from the initial meeting, and he was able to accommodate me on the day I selected. A couple of days later, I received an email with the date I wanted the job done and the amount, which was reasonably priced. Max and another gentleman got the job done in a couple of hours. It took them a while to drill a hole through the spray foam, but they got it done. After the job was complete, they cleaned up after themselves. Very pleased that Fanning Electric was able to take care of my needs. I forwarded the inspection report to Eileen, office manager/coordinator extraordinaire. Within a few days, one of Fanning's electricians, Neale, came out. He was properly 'masked' and 'gloved', and in short order knew precisely the issues that needed to be repaired and get me fully up-to-code. Neale was very personable and professional. So I was given a time slot between 3pm and 4pm. Technician showed up at 5.30, spent 10 minutes looking at one power outlet and presented me with $345 "bill". No labor was done. No diagnostics or troubleshooting beyond visual assessment. No actual physical bill with explanation of service. Speaking to the representative was interesting to say the least - no manager or supervisor available, service fee of $85 got waived, so I was left with $260 bill. Still $175 over quoted amount. I agreed to pay $200 as a compromise. Apparently the only way to get a receipt is by email and after I called again to ask where is my receipt I was told I have to wait until tomorrow evening. I was also offered to receive a recording of my conversation with representative where he supposedly told me I'll have to pay "for troubleshooting" and I'm still waiting for that even though that was supposed to be sent immediately.
