My parents recently refinanced their house through Nations Lending Corporation. The process started in September, but unfortunately it didn't close until October 18th, 2012. My parents were very hesitant of the company as this was their first time refinancing their house, but I am so glad that they had someone like Frank Passafiume because he made the entire process so smooth. My parents don't speak English very well, but that didn't stop Frank from putting all his efforts to make them feel comfortable. He was very determined to close this deal and communicated with my parents and I (the daughter). We went through a lot of hurdles to get our house refinanced, because during the last credit check they found out there was something wrong with our credit. My parents were very surprised and confused about what happened to their credit and Frank was very patient and explained the situation and helped us get through it. Frank held us all together and took every step with us. He called me every day to check status on the credit to see if he can be any assistance. During this procedure, I felt like Frank was more of a friend than a Mortgage banker. After we got our credit cleared up because of the erroneous score, we closed the deal within two weeks. However, it wasn't NLC's fault, my parents were simply afraid to close it, as they wanted to check every page on those documents. They were apprehensive about taking "The Big" step since this was very important for them. However, Frank was so patient with my parents. He said this was the first time where the Notary had to appear three times to someone's house before they actually signed the documents. Frank was always available to explain and answer all the questions they had. (Not to mention, we are located in California and Frank is in east coast (2-3hours ahead of us)). After, my parents signed the papers; they were getting harassed by our old finance company because there was lack of communication between their accounts payable department and the corporate office at NLC. My parents were worried because they didn't want to get bad credit as that's what they were being told by the old finance company. My parents called me as they were scared about the situation and without any hesitation, I called Frank and he took care of the situation the same day. He provided the number to call NLC headquarter and I spoke with Thomas Miller. Fortunately, he provided the wire transfer number for the payment and the same day, we stopped getting calls from the old finance company. Thomas was also very helpful and quick about providing all the information I needed. In short, this entire process would not have been possible without Frank's dedication, effort, clear communication, and patience. I cannot express enough words for Frank's excellent service and expertise. He made the process so easy to deal with as he is very knowledgeable about the entire procedure. My parents and I are very happy about getting our house refinanced. We are saving so much money! My husband and I started the search for our first home with the help of NLC. We walked in with no idea of what to expect or what was involved with buying a home. Frank and Scott put us at ease from the moment we walked through the doors and shook their hands. They spent quite a bit of time explaining the entire process to us and never once lost their patience. It took just over a year for my husband and I to FINALLY find our dream home and during that year we bombarded Frank and Scott with question after question after question. Both gentleman responded to our inquiries within the same day each time and if they did not know the answer they still reached out to let us know they were working on finding out the answer for us . Without their assistance through this and without the help of our realtor they referred us to we probably would have given up In our search for a home. With that being said, the only reason why we gave them four stars versus five stars was because of Janie. Janie handles putting all of the necessary documents together for the underwriters. Her responses to any questions I had were very short, abrupt, and rude. She was very condescending when we did have to deal with her via phone as well. Please keep in mind that during the summer season my husband works from 7 AM and is lucky to get home by 9PM and like most people I also work a full time job as well, so any documents she needed was on me to provide. With any documents requested from us she never had to wait for more then a day which is why I never understood the attitude. There were documents that she requested that I had to send to her several times because they were misplaced or her dog ate the paper I'm sure and we were made to feel like the idiots because SHE misplaced the information. There were also times I had left messages for her & never once heard back from. Dealing with her through the closing process was a nightmare & put a black mark on one of the happiest moments in our lives. Frank, Scott, and the rest of the NLC team was great! We DEFINITELY recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a new home! As I said we worked very closely with Frank & Scott & had the best experience with them. By the time it was all said and done we felt as if Frank and Scott were family. These two gentleman will do whatever it takes to ease the pain of buying a home. The Nations Lending Corporation---They said what they meant... I started out with Matt Kirschling and Christy Wilmoth of Nations Lending Corporation in Ohio and found them very professional. They work as a team for the refinancing of my house under HARP 2.0 was closed within 30 days as they promised. From Sep 13, 2012 to October 15, 2012 (Not count on Sat/13 and Sun/14). I spoke from my heart to all of you about the NLC. I was most gratified by Matthew Kirschling and Christy Wilmoth with the outcome of my refinanced. You will get approved fast as long as you have your info underwriter request a lot of information related to the loan that may be hard to get together at first, then it was smooth sailing. Matt Kisrchling and Christy wilmoth were very diligent about following up with me about my previous lenders BOA, my insurance company, my pay stubs, and whomever else that needed to be contacted to stay on track. FRANK ZUBEL at NATIONS LENDING CORP SAVED THE DAY! I had been trying for more than 8 months to refi with a VA loan and after my third attempt was about to give up. I got on the phone, yet again and spoke with Frank and another lender I had previously talked with who had similar offers. The main difference that Frank offered was something I didn't think I need at the time: 90% LTV. Because I had already talked to the other lender who gave me good advice before, I went with him. We attempted to re-finance with another mortgage lender with under the assumption the deal would be closed in a timely manner; well, after weeks of delays, credit checked, and our insurance cover sheet changed prior to closing, the loan guy calls to say our FHA doesn't qualify for the program. Needless to say, I was a bit perturbed. We waited another 6-8 months and received a notice in the mail stating our FHA loan qualified for re-finance. It was from Nations Lending. I was very skeptical at first, called to schedule an interview and cancelled when Ryan Cousino called me back the first time. A few weeks later, we called Nations back and actually spoke with Ryan about our FHA and if it did indeed qualify for re-finance. He quickly assured me that it did; I still was unsure and didn't want another credit check run for nothing. Ryan worked diligently and ran all the numbers prior to running our credit to ensure we qualified. After Ryan did everything he had to do, Anthony Steele with Nations lending called to prep for closing. Hurricane Isaac hit and we had to delay the closing. Ryan called us during the hurricane to ensure our safety. I thought this to be above and beyond his call of duty for a finance lending guy located in another state. He was very thoughtful and apologetic after he realized he called me after I worked a 12 hour nightshift. Gary Baxter and Chandra Freeman are two of the best in the mortgage business. I started down this path of seeking homeownership not sure if I could even get approved. After a divorce I had a foreclosure on my credit so I thought it was hopeless. I just recently refinanced my condo property in June 2013. Prior to refinancing with Nations Lending, I had tried other avenues to refinance my condo. My husband and I recently refinanced our home that we purchased only one year ago. We were hesitent to even look into the option of refinancing since the stress of buying a home was still fresh on our minds. I recently refinanced with this company through Mr. Morefield. He took over my refinance from another person. At the time I spoke with this company, I was midway through a refinance with my current lender. I received a letter in the mail from Nations Lending Corporation. I thought it was worth calling in to see what they could do, even though I didn't believe they'd be able to give me a better deal then my current bank was giving me. I spoke with the 1st rep from Nations Lending Corporation and he said he couldn't help me. Then 1 week later I get a call from Mr. Morefield and he tells me he could help me and what he could offer blew me away. I was skeptical at start but when I received the documents from the company showing me what they could do, I wanted to do my refinance through this company. I was on Vacation for most of the process and I was still in touch with Mr. Morefield through email, checking the status of the refinance. Other people from the company kept me updated as well, letting me know that things were going smoothly. A notary who was very pleasant came to my home to do the closing proceedings. I got a letter from Nations Lending saying they could lower my mortgage. I first talked with Nate Radtke and he got some information from me. Then Amanda Zielinski called me for some follow-up information. I had the best experience and they made things so easy for my Wife and I. I was a supervisor at the largest parcel shipping company in the world before I retired at 42. I would have hired Amanda and Nate immediately because of their professionalism and customer service. If they needed something they would e-mail an example to make things easier. If they said they were going to do something they did it when they said they would do it and would follow-up with you. I cannot give enough praise to Amanda and Nate. They made our life more comfortable in more ways then one. I would recommend Nations Lending to anyone and the first one was my brother. My husband and I own several rental properties and needed to refinance a few with high interest rates including our personal residence but due to the new regulations limiting the number of mortgages a person could have, no financial institution including the ones that already had the mortgage would work with us. Our personal residence only had 8 years left but the payment was over $ 2K a month plus we had a 2nd mortgage payment too. William Hailey was the greatest help for me and my wife in refinancing our loan. He assisted us in the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) Loan. He told us what we needed and where to send the information. We did everything online until closing day and he sent an Notary Repuplic out to our home for us to sign the paper work. I recently closed on a home 4 weeks ago. I can honestly say I am completely satisfied with my experience, in fact, my loan specialist (I think that's what they're called) went above and beyond for me. I worked with Frank Zubel over at Nations Lending and I couldn't be happier with everything he did for me. We closed in less than 45 days and he was able to lock down a smaller rate a week before closing. The first phone call I made to Frank he laid it all out on the table. We discussed loan size and all the options I could go with (mind you, I already had my property picked out), he then quoted me a number on where he realisticly thought I'd land and (I'm not making this up) on the day we closed I was 13 cents under. I have nothing but praises for Mr. Frank E. Zubel and Nations Lending Corp. I am one of those people with an underwater mortgage and was looking to refinance through the HARP 2.0 program. Seterus, my now previous lender, sent me a letter indicating that if I was interested in refinancing I should go to Quicken Loans for assistance. Needless to say, that did not work out. Quicken Loans kept me on hold for 4 months before finally telling me they could not help me. I began searching for a new lender with experience in the HARP 2,0 process, that is when I contacted Mr. Zubel at Nations Lending. He told me he could help me, and he did! There were a lot of twists and turns throughout the process mostly due to Seterus' poor business practices. Frank Passafiume handled the refinance of my condominium and he turned what I thought was going to be an arduous process into a cake walk. I know that my particular loan wasn't very simple (I have more than one property, this loan was for a condo, etc) but Frank walked me through the whole thing and we got the couple little hiccups solved right away with no frustration. If you've been thinking about refinancing and are here checking out Nation's Lending before making the plunge, go for it. Frank, and everyone else I dealt with are honest, hard working people that really approach your loan as a priority, not just another on the stack. Just finalized a refi with Nations. Sought them out because they recently did a refi for my parents. After a very short initial conversation they looked at my financial status, ran my credit and told me exactly what they could do to improve my mortgage which was a good deal for me. I worked with Kevin Wessa, Rick McAleer, and Adam Kobrinski over the course of this loan. At each step they kept me well informed of what paperwork was needed and where we were in the process. Whether by email or phone my messages and questions were answered without hesitation. I cannot stress to you how important it is to sign and return all requested paperwork in a timely manner. I was seeking out ways to refinance our first and second mortgage into one loan. I had received a flyer in the mail from Nations Lending and gave them a call. I was able to talk to Frank Zubel, loan officer, within minutes after I called. Frank asked me a few basic financial questions which led into the possibility of refinancing. I have wanted to get out from under the second mortgage for a few years but could not get a mortgage company to help until Frank mentioned that there is a way to get this done. Frank was very clear in explaining the available programs and the cost/fees associated for each. After NLC worked out the numbers, I was able to save over $500 per month in my monthly house payment.
