I had a decompressed disk in my lower back with such extreme pain I couldn't sit or walk or stand for too long. After several weeks of physical therapy I was honestly 60% better and could manage my pain again - without medication. I did daily exercise and traction. They have a mac-daddy traction device which I haven't seen at any other PT location. They also have an indoor track which you can walk or limp around for more exercise. It's a big location with a lot of different stations. The only downside is the parking garage - but if you're patient and plan ahead, you'll be fine. Just don't go in there thinking you're going to get a parking space immediately...you'll most likely have to go up a few floors. I generally park in the Sajack Paviliion and walk over on the people bridge....it's much easier.

I have lived in Maryland for 3 years now and have called tons of providers including my insurance company for references of what offices I could go to that covered MD state insurance and EVERYONE was telling me that no physical therapy offices in Annapolis covered MD State insurance and that we would have to drive all the way to Baltimore! That was impossible for us, especially having to go twice a week. So for 3 years, Riley, my 8 year old son with Cerebral Palsy had no physical therapist. We watched as his tight muscles grew tighter in his hamstrings, his coordination faltering. FINALLY, one day by pure luck, I came across a flyer posted on the inside of a bathroom stall door! Who knew those things actually worked? Well it did, it highlighted that "most insurances" were covered.... still I had my hesitations because of soooo many failed attempts. But I called anyways, as I always did and the polite lady on the other side of the phone said that they DID cover our insurance!!! Hallelujah!!! He's been going for 3 months now and it's a dream! They are all amazing! Great physical therapy exercises and great, fun attitudes! I highly recommend them especially if you have MD State insurance, let's spread the word and the good news!

Not only did they prep me with exercises I could do on site and at home to make my back stronger, but they also informed me of resources I could use that were in the Edgewater/Annapolis area (such as aerial yoga) so that I could continue to work on my health once I phased out of therapy. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone, and it'd be the first place I'd go if I ever have another injury!

My mother died this week in a nursing facility. Our experience with Hospice Of the Chesapeake was…read morepoor. No consistency of care. We would make urgent phone calls and the operator would promise someone would call us. Didn't happen. They promised to come out after starting my mother on morphine and they never returned. No wound care was ever done as promised. No supplies were ever sent after the first box. We had 2 excellent visits that we were there for over a 31 day period and we thought we would get care for my mother. Those nurses were wonderful. We never saw anyone after the morphine started. I had to take video of my mother screaming in pain to get help. We begged for our mother to go into the Hospice House and we were continually turned down. There is no patient portal to read and see what is going on. When we needed support in her final 2 days no one came as promised and no one called. Even the facility where my mother was in became concerned by their lack of presence.
