I met Amy at the Earth Fair in Balboa Park looking to network with people in the community. Her business name and friendly smile made me feel like I needed to learn more about her and her business. Working in the mental health industry as an occupational therapist, life coach and reiki practitioner I have high standards as to what I buy into as I feel our mental health system is pretty broken at this point. I loved that Amy seemed to take a different approach from the, "let's draw out how many sessions I can get insurance to pay for you to keep talking to me without actually helping you model". She had a fresh perspective, great energy and enthusiasm for the work that she did so I was intrigued. I can say that after knowing her beyond that initial meeting and first session, none of that has ever changed, she is the real deal as to how she presents to the world. For my first session, I didn't quite know what to expect and I felt pretty vulnerable because I had never received hypnotherapy before and I do like to be in the driver's seat. However, my intuition is usually spot on and everything about Amy's demeanor screamed trust her! It is a very complex dance to transition from initial social pleasantries, to briefing, to therapy, to debriefing and everything in between but she was exceptional at every step of the way. I felt like the way she lead the session, I was still present and consciously aware of the work being done and helping drive it where I knew I needed it to go. In just one session we did extremely deep work surrounding my relationship with one of my parents that was at a tipping point. She helped me breakthrough and within only 1 to 2 weeks of that session, I felt empowered to reestablish the ground rules of the relationship. Because I was in a healthy space after the session, I approached it intelligently so my parent was receptive and it has made lasting changes to create a much healthier relationship for me. She really cares about helping people and walks the walk as well. I have since seen first hand her do the hard work herself in perpetually embodying her best self while simultaneously taking the next steps necessary to further unfold into being the next best version of herself tomorrow. Amy Turner has remarkable knowledge and skills when it comes to neurology, hypnosis, and communication. She really took her time in getting to the root of my issues at hand that I wanted to focus on. She's very thorough, which is really important to me, listens, and really cares. I loved her approach with the question/discussion, really making sure she covered what I wanted and needed. Her hypnosis/hypnotherapy technique was like none other I have ever seen or experienced, and I've been to a hypnotherapist and also an NLP person. Amy's treatment was different for me in that she had a conversation with my subconscious mind, to really get to the bottom of the root of the issues I wanted to address. I was amazed at how something that sounded so foreign, complex and pretty much impossible, was actually simple and happened pretty easily! She has a nice and gentle approach with a caring personality and explains everything, so I was able to relax and trust her. She also answered any questions I had and asked if I had any. The scenes that came up from my childhood were very revealing and it all came together to make sense in the end. My whole experience working with Amy has been phenomenal. I was very nervous at first but as soon as we got going, i felt at home and was just super comfortable talking about deep things that i have never spoken to anyone else about. I just got this sense that she could solve everything i came to her for. I came to her because i had relationship issues. When our session was done, it was like a night and day transformation instantly. After the session i felt extremely relieved and felt like the weight of the world was no longer on my shoulders. The recording she gave me was very specific and is literally gold. The recording is so soothing and to the point, it was exactly what i needed. As the days went on there were situations that came up that would have completely left me crushed had i been my old self. My old self was disempowered.
