I believe their care is great, but they have a page dedicated to teaching why you should not use your insurance. None of that applies to me and my insurance does cover ongoing therapy without disclosing information. It is fine for a company not to take insurance, but advising people not to use insurance I think can harm some people. I simply mark all my forms that information can not be shared, even within the same office. It has no affect on my insurance paying for psychatry, therapy, etc. I have gone to specialists who do not take insurance when I needed a specific specialist to diagnose OCD vs ADHD and adjust medication. She only needed to say, "We do not take insurance." read more

My husband and I decided to seek out therapy when the dynamics in our marriage were shifting and we needed better tools to effectively communicate with each other. She helped me, a lot. Even though I thought it was a bunch of BS at the time, it was beneficial to me in all aspects of my life. She's down to earth, keeps it real, and she won't let you get away with a bunch of BS. She's probably seen it all. The best investment you can make is in yourself. It's paid dividends for me. I definitely need some maintenance though. It's been awhile. In addition to all of my other issue, I served in direct combat with 3 combat deployments from about the ages of 19-23, and it didn't "hit me" until a few years later, and it hit like a ton of bricks. This may be the elephant in the room to some care providers: but there are/were some issues much deeper than that, and she caught it Day 1. Kristen is a very good provider, and has a way of peeling things back one piece at a time. Not all wounds are visible. Get help if you need it. read more

My SO and I had several sessions with Bryne before we got married to improve communication and see if we were really a good fit together. We decided to get married. A couple of months before the wedding we had a major issue and came back to Bryne for help. Bryne told me, seriously, that my fiance lying to me only hurt me because I let it hurt me. My partner and I have been looking for a therapist to address a couple of issues before we move into the next stage of our relationship. We required/strongly preferred a place where we could be seen in-person, could accommodate both of our unique schedules, and fit within our budget. Thus, we were thrilled when we stumbled upon Sage therapy center. Their prices were reasonable, their hours of operation were very accommodating, located within a mile of our home AND fantastic reviews...PERFECT! Or so we thought. Unfortunately, we have been attempting to schedule an appointment... Or at least talk to a person to see if they are even taking on new clients, since before, Labor Day. We have emailed, called on multiple occasions, left several voicemails, and even stopped in at the physical location in hopes to speak with somebody, but to no avail. I recognize there was a bit of over persistence on my end, but with this place checking all of our boxes, didn't want to give up too easily...yet here we are. This review is in no way a reflection of the therapy and services that they actually do offer to their current clientele, but a reflection of their lack of customer care and service for those of us hoping to receive help, which, in my opinion, is a huge reflection of the business as a whole. Due to the lack of any correspondence, we will be having to take our business elsewhere, which is highly disappointing. I hope they tighten up their customer service in the future. read more

Kristine is wonderful. My family has been through a lot and we have been through a lot of counseling. She is a rarity, she listens, processes and offers REAL support. Her style is to include everyone's opinions and comes up with useable tools. When Covid hit my husband and I were thrown for a loop. It seemed like every chink in our marital armor was exposed and problems that had been apparent to me in the year prior became a screaming priority to handle during this sensitive time. In the months prior I had been seeking some phone numbers to keep in my back pocket "just in case". Sage Therapy was at the top of my list. When I first contacted them, we were all in the feels of adjusting work and home life and even though they had restructured for online appointments they were responsive and available to help us. For the past three months or so my husband and I have been working with Bryne. My husband had no prior experience in therapy and I only had about three months. In this hard time we developed a professional and empathic relationship with Bryne that allowed us to not only address the immediate issue of Covid stress but keys that unlocked the doors to prior traumas and how we can openly discuss our marital issues in balance of where we both have come from. In this time, I found some personal areas to work on separate from my husband involving PTSD. I did not know what EMDR was when I started the process with my husband and Bryne. I came into it with an open mind and heart. Today I feel changed in the most positive way to handle the stress that Covid brought us and for my future career. I feel more peaceful to handle the emotional load ahead. No doubt- my husband and I still are working through our "stuff" but we have a set of guidance and "rules" to go by. We are not done by any stretch of the imagination but the tools Bryne has given to us are invaluable. He is caring, diplomatic, won't sugar coat as to keep you accountable. He has a long history it seems of a successful marriage and the wisdom to share with all. Kristin Moorehead is a wonderful therapist. A year ago, I was considering proposing to my boyfriend of 5.5 years. I thought he was totally on the same page as me, but was shocked to discover that he was actually having thoughts of breaking up with me. He said there were times where he felt like getting married, and times where he thought we weren't a good fit and he had trouble imagining spending the rest of his life with me. We very nearly broke up one night when discussing all of this, and I really didn't know what to do. I still felt like we had an amazing relationship and that it would be such a shame to throw it all away for no clear reason. We got along great, pretty much never got in fights, and we had been living together for over 2 years at that time with no issues. I asked him if he'd be willing to consider couples therapy with me and he said he would. I had no idea how to find a good therapist, but I knew that who your therapist is can make all the difference. After finding all the exceedingly positive reviews for Kristin on Yelp and Google, I finally settled on her as our first therapist. She was extremely booked, so we had a tough time getting our first appointment, but we were lucky enough to find a time to have a regular weekly appointment with her. She has been amazing for us. We have been seeing her for just over a year now and things are looking so much better for our relationship. We learned that the fact that we had no fights was actually a bad sign, and that we both had issues to work through in order to help our relationship. My boyfriend is extremely uncomfortable with conflict and emotions, we discovered, even though neither of us would have thought that before therapy. I learned that I am overly sensitive to my emotions at times, and can let them overwhelm me, causing me to lose sight of the facts. You can see why this combination would be problematic! He was always trying to avoid conflict with me because he feared me expressing my strong emotions, and therefore I was always led to believe that things were going just swimmingly between the two of us! Over the past year, Kristin has worked with us both to help us identify when these things are happening, and to give us the tools to try to change this behavior in ourselves. Let me tell you, therapy is never easy. Changing your natural behaviors can feel impossible; I always just thought that I was born this way and it's just the way I am. But if you are willing to do the work, you can truly change. It was not as fast of a process as I wanted it to be, I struggled with being impatient with our slow progress. (Another thing I needed to work on.) But here we are a year later, and I can honestly say I have seen significant progress in both of us. We are not all the way there (nor will we ever be, of course), and we have a lot more work to do in the short term still, but I think we are on a healthier, happier, and more genuine path now. My boyfriend has been asking for my ring size recently, and saying he is having trouble thinking of any good reasons why we shouldn't be married now. This is completely thanks to the help of Kristin. If I could do it again, I would pick Kristen and do it exactly the way that I did. She has helped us tremendously. Even if my boyfriend and I did not end up working out, I still believe the therapy would have been valuable to both of us. It is good to examine yourself and become more aware of your areas of difficulties. We all have them. And I think it is really valuable to learn how to cope with and change these behaviors if you decide you want to. This is a lifelong skill that I am developing, and will be giving back to me for the rest of my life. Because of that, I can't think of many more worthwhile ways to spend your money. If you are scared and think there's a chance therapy could help, I urge you to give it a try. read more
